 SHINING HIS LIGHT:

☀️

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

~Psalm 23

He doesn’t acknowledge his fame, so Cara feels duped when two attractive women rush him. As weather keeps thwarting their way, Cara and Heath share their losses, and as they head toward their separate Christmases, they grow close. I hope you all enjoy "Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas" and "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" this week!

It's interesting - that both of these movies, which premiered 10 years apart, have fairly long titles, and are essentially about the same thing - the importance and exceptionalness of our TIME at Christmas - The Most Wonderful TIME of the Year and TIME for Me to Come Home for Christmas!

"The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" has been a fan-favorite on the Hallmark Channel - since it first aired those many Christmases ago. We, the audience, knew right away, Uncle Ralph's mission to bring Morgan and Jennifer together was a good one. These two opposites were an instant attraction that was meant to be! Add in the mix, Jennifer's adorable son, Brian, who is struggling to believe in Santa and you have a truly wonderful, feel-good, cozy, romantic comedy!

"Time for Me to Come Home for Christmas" also has all the charm and warmth you could ever want in a Hallmark Christmas movie, plus some delightful music to move the story along... with two lonely travelers, who find friendship and potential love on their way home one Christmas!

I hope you have TIME this week to watch these two Hallmark Christmas classics!

Paws Tonight for a Hallmark Channel Special and an early Christmas Treat!

Tonight the Hallmark Channel Presents:
The American Humane Association
Hero Dog Awards

image via: Hallmark Crown Media, with James Denton and Beth Stern

via Hallmark: The Hero Dog Awards, presented for the past four years by the Lois Pope LIFE Foundation, is a moving celebration of our four-legged friends and the innumerable ways they enrich, protect, and save lives every day. The annual national competition searches out and recognizes America’s Hero Dogs – often ordinary dogs who do extraordinary things, whether it’s saving lives on the battlefield, lending sight or hearing to a human companion, or just welcoming you home at the end of a hard day.

Dogs may be nominated in eight categories for the Hero Dog Awards: Law Enforcement & Arson Dogs; Service Dogs; Therapy Dogs; Military Dogs; Guide Dogs; Search and Rescue Dogs; Hearing Dogs; and Emerging Hero Dogs (the category for ordinary dogs). Finalists in each category will be judged by a blue-ribbon panel to determine the top American Hero Dog.

TV personality, author, and animal advocate Beth Stern and television veteran James Denton will return as co-hosts for the 2015 Hero Dog Awards, premiering Friday, October 30 at 8/7c.

Future - Favorite ?

Thank you to everyone who has submitted (so far) what you think might be Your Top 3 Christmas Movie Picks for 2015! Lots of great guesses! I admit, it's so hard to choose, but it will be fun to see what we love, in the end.

I remember thinking... I wouldn't be too fond of "Love at the Thanksgiving Parade" when it first came out. Why? You might wonder. Because one of the pictures showed actress Autumn Reeser with clowns (pictured below) and well... I'm just not a clown fan, typically, but the small scene with the clowns in the movie, is actually one of the most beautiful scenes in the film- as they are visiting sick children in the local hospital, doing their absolute best to cheer them up and bring happiness. Looking back now - I see it in such a different light. In the end, "Love at the Thanksgiving Parade" became my favorite movie that year- for 2012!

Honestly, I would never have guessed "Love at the Thanksgiving Parade" to become such a favorite - so that's why it's fun to imagine now - what we think we might like best later!!

It's Christmastime Again... and I can hardly believe I'm saying it, but... ENJOY the CHRISTMAS MOVIES Tonight!!!

Thoughts on Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie Weekend

I was so glad to hear from so many of you who enjoyed the Hallmark Channel Christmas Movie Weekend as much I, and my family, did. As we were in and out over the weekend, we tried our best to absorb as much of the Christmas Movies as possible - and since some were repeated on both days - I think we just about caught a little bit of each movie - plus, we actually sat down and watched several, too!

Oh, I just never wanted them to end! Someone else had mentioned and I completely agreed - it would have been nice if they could have scheduled in A Grandpa for Christmas, in honor of Ernest Borgnine, due to his recent passing. That would have been perfect at 10 PM Sunday night, instead of Frasier, and then it would have finished the Christmas Movies off at midnight!

Like I said, I just didn't want it to end... however, I am grateful for what they did show.

All in all... I must say THANK YOU to the Hallmark Channel! We enjoyed the Christmas Movie Weekend emmensely - from Mrs. Miracle, Call Me Mrs. Miracle, The Town Christmas Forgot, Annie Claus is Coming to Town, Mistletoe Over Manhattan, Holiday Engagement, The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and all the way to A Princess for Christmas and more! And, Now we are looking forward to the new Christmas Movie Season starting, more than ever!

Also, don't forget to submit your answers for the Hallmark Christmas Movie Trivia Game and...

Stay Tuned - it looks like we may start the Christmas TV Schedule earlier than ever, this year!
