NEW YORK, NY – April 14, 2026 – Great American Media announced an ensemble of family talent is set to star in the Great American Christmas Original movie, Silver Bells at Christmas which is currently in production. Leading the way is famed Broadway singer, Laura Osnes (A Little Women’s Christmas, A Dash of Christmas), Ryan McPartlin (“Chuck,” Amish Affair), American country music artist Chuck Wicks, Julia Reilly (County Rescue, Christmas of Giving), Tanya Christiansen (County Rescue, A Little Women’s Christmas) and D.B. Sweeney (The Cutting Edge, Reporting for Christmas). Silver Bells at Christmas will premiere as part of Great American Christmas 2026.

My Quick Take:

I must say... I'm extra excited for this Christmas movie, and I'm so thrilled we will hear Laura Osnes and Chuck Wicks sing in it! Everything about Silver Bells at Christmas sounds so lovely, including this extraordinary leading and supporting cast. This truly looks like one to look forward to this upcoming holiday season on Great American Family!

🎄✨ Another Lead Actor Spotted On Set of Laura Osnes' Christmas Movie

There's more exciting news straight from the set of Laura Osnes’ upcoming festive Christmas movie, which is currently filming!

I recently mentioned in a post that Laura Osnes (of Just in Time) was working alongside actor and singer Chuck Wicks, but now there’s an intriguing new development- another leading man has been spotted on set!

Both Laura Osnes and Brandon Clark (of Brandon Clark Films) shared some behind-the-scenes photos, tagging Ryan McPartlin (Double Scoop, The Flight Before Christmas). Of course, this has sparked my curiosity!

It certainly makes one wonder what roles Ryan and Chuck will play in the story. Could a charming love triangle be in the works? It’s too soon to say for sure, but one thing is certain- this is the first movie for both Ryan McPartlin and Chuck Wicks with Great American Family, which only adds to the excitement!

Stay tuned for more info! With Chuck and Laura singing and another leading man in the mix, this Christmas movie, originally titled: Silver Bells Christmas, is already sounding like one to watch!

Wonderful news! Hallmark Channel is reeling in romance and flavor this summer with the movie, Catch of the Day, starring Emilie Ullerup (Chesapeake Shores) and Michael Rady (A Joyous Christmas).

This new film, revealed by TVInsider, is part of Hallmark’s Summer Nights lineup and is set to premiere Saturday, August 30th, at 8/7c.

Also, spicing things up is culinary expert and bestselling author Katie Lee Biegel, who not only co-wrote the movie but also appears on screen, bringing her passion for food to life in a story that blends heartfelt connection with coastal charm.

Plus, I also wanted to mention, there's another Hallmark movie anticipated to premiere during Hallmark's Summer Nights in August, titled Double Scoop! And if you're guessing it has something to do with ice cream, you're right!

The movie stars Taylor Cole and Ryan McPartlin and there's a wonderful supporting cast that includes: Elisha Donovan, Patrick Muldoon, Chondra Pierce, Jacklyn Collier, and more!!!

Storyline via IMDB: Nora (Taylor Cole) and James (Ryan McPartlin) were once the dream team at a top New York ad agency, but now they're locked in a frosty competition for the sweetest client of all: a charming small-town dairy farm that churns out the most delectable artisan ice cream in the country.

I'm hoping this ice cream-themed movie will turn out to be a tasty treat!

Two side notes:

#1 - As I mentioned above, Christian Comedienne Chondra Pierce is among the Double Scoop supporting cast. I have seen her speak in person, and she was absolutely wonderful. I laughed so hard, and through her testimony, I cried. If you have the chance to see her speak, I encourage you to do so. You can see her tour date schedule - here.

#2 - If you haven’t checked out Chonda Pierce’s comedy Roll With It yet, it’s currently streaming on Roku (free with ads). It’s seriously funny and a great watch from start to finish! One small caution: Roll With It is generally family-friendly, though there is a brief conversation about online dating that may not be ideal for younger viewers. A woman also mentions she is a single mother of a young child. Overall, the heart and humor in this movie are such a joy to watch!

🎄Christmas in July🎄 is Coming to the Hallmark Channel with TWO New Movies and More 🌟 SEE HERE:

The Hallmark Channel has a new commercial preview out (see below) for their annual *Christmas in July* movie event- and here's what we can take from the new promo...

The new preview shows one fun movie that previously premiered on Hallmark's streamer, Hallmark Movies Now- Rescuing Christmas, starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Sam Page.

Also, the promo announces there will be TWO New Christmas Movie Premieres in July! One of these NEW Christmas movies will star Marcus Rosner (Love on the Right Course) and Rebecca Dalton (Christmas by Design) and the other will star Ryan McPartlin (Cut, Color, Murder) and Katie LeClerc (A Cape Cod Christmas).

Plus, in addition to the new movie premieres, the Hallmark Channel will show an extended cut of Three Wise Men and a Baby, starring Andrew Walker, Paul Campbell, and Tyler Hynes, which will, of course, have a sequel this upcoming Christmas season titled: Three Wiser Men and a Boy.

What once was known in years past as "Christmas Keepsake Week" has grown to a full month of "Christmas in July" holiday movies!!!

Since filming this Christmas movie with Rebecca Dalton, Marcus Rosner has filmed at least two more holiday movies, one with Emma Johnson (My Favorite Christmas Tree) and another recently with Brittany Bristow (A Safari Romance, Just Jake). He's quite the busy guy when it comes to making movies, so I'm really not surprised at all that one of his movies ended up during Christmas in July!

🔎 "Color, Cut, Murder: 100% clean. No issues with same sex. The man who worked in the salon doing makeup on the Beauty Pageant girls kinda made me uncomfortable, but he didn't act feminine at all. It was a good mystery, kept me guessing. Kinda cheesy. I liked her relationship with the police chief. I'm guessing by the ending there will be a sequel. Also, I had forgotten how much commercials were on TV. I'll save it for special occasions, like the Wedding Veil movies." ~Abigail

🔎 "No Spoilers in my review… This movie is family-friendly for around age 12 and up, being a murder mystery. The mystery part of the story was intriguing, as several people seemed guilty. I suspected the person who did the crime, but I was never 100% certain until that person was revealed. The cast all worked well together; I really liked Ali (Julie Gonzalo, “Christmas with the Kranks,” “Falling for Vermont”) and Chelsea (Grace Beedie, “Five Star Christmas”) as sisters. Plus, it was obvious there was a bit of a spark between Ali and Detective Kyle Crawford (played by Ryan McPartlin, “Chance at Romance,” “The Flight Before Christmas”). The one thing that bugged me was the haircuts! The movie is supposed to be all about a mystery-solving hairdresser, but each time Ali touched anyone’s hair – she pretended to trim a little around the neck and that’s it. She was basically done with each hair cut in 2 minutes. I’m sure any hairdressers watching this movie found it to be quite humorous. Overall, this movie was an enjoyable watch; however, the end is left in such a way – it appears they are planning more of these." ~Net

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Haunted by Murder

Storyline: When Aurora Teagarden and her best friend, Sally Allison, were teenagers, they entered the infamous 'haunted' Crenshaw Mansion on a dare and, to their shock, came upon a dead body in a secret room! It's twenty years later, and Aurora's mother, Aida, has bought the Crenshaw Mansion with plans to renovate and sell, dismissing the notion that the house is haunted.

🔎 "Aurora Teagarden: Haunted by Murder – No Spoilers in my review… I thought this Aurora movie was a bit creepier than most of the other Aurora Teagarden movies. Being a murder mystery, it is family friendly for around age 12 and up, depending on the child. Warning: there is a lot of talk all throughout the entire movie about ghosts. It felt like an episode right out of Scooby Doo, with the haunted house and an old portrait that moved around the house without anyone touching it. At one point, Aida (Aurora’s mother) even brings a paranormal search team, in which Lillian (Aurora’s co-worker, the librarian) is a member, into the house to look for any ghosts or spirits. I wasn’t fond of all the talk about ghosts, and neither was Sally (Aurora’s best friend), but most everyone kept saying ghosts weren’t real and there was a scientific, real explanation. In the end, of course, there is a real live-person, who is the culprit. Also, I had figured we wouldn’t see much of Candace and Lexa’s real-life daughters, who played the teen version of Aurora and Sally in flashbacks, but their scenes were even shorter than I had anticipated, which was disappointing. Overall, it was great to see the regular cast members return for this new mystery, and even though it wasn’t my personal favorite from the Aurora library of films, I do hope we see more “Aurora Teagarden” mysteries in the future!" ~Net

🔎 "I love the first five Aurora movies and have watched those numerous times. The rest of the movies have been kinda blah. I hate that John, Sally’s uncle, left the series, some of the main characters were missing from some of the movies due to the actors’ scheduling conflicts and the plots were a little slow. I did like the addition of Niall as the love interest, and her cousin as another member of the real murders club, but still didn’t enjoy most of the storylines in the later movies. Given all that, I didn’t have high hopes for the new Aurora movie, but was pleasantly surprised. I loved it, especially the spooky elements in this one. It might be my favorite Aurora movie." ~Melissa

🔎 "WOW!! That Aurora Teagarden Mystery was soooo good! No mushy scenes this time...It was probably the best one I've seen for awhile, since the Garage Sale days, at least. As usual, Sally was her funny scaredy cat self, and Philip was a go getter. And of course....Aida bought a "haunted" house! They did such a good job filming the spooky house. I'm definitely buying this when it comes out. It also looks like they are keeping the door open for Aurora's father to join the show. I would LOVE to see Aurora's parents remarried. Their reasons for splitting up seemed sad(and selfish) to me. Marriage is so sacred. They did seem to still love each other in the wedding film. Also appreciated the fact that we didn't see Aurora and Nick sharing a bed together (since they are both married in real life, if only they wouldn't kiss). As much as I love watching Candace, I've never understood how a Christian married woman could kiss another. It has always bothered me about her movies. When I think of Lillian, I never thought of ghosts! ;) -Still funny. ~Abigail

🔎 "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Haunted by Murder is kinda spooky theme. (This review contains some possible SPOLIERS) Teen Aurora, Sally, Arthur, & Jack were at Ezra Enshaw House. When Aida bought Enshaw house for renovation & sell Lillian Tibbett, Zachary, Paranormal Investigators are part of Paranormal Society. Teen Roe found a secret room to open under the drawer of the dresser. Nick, Roe,& Mona heard piano playing melody. Lillian & the rest are Ghost Hunters. It’s like Scooby Doo gang. The chair is moving, the secret room is open, & the portrait of Ezra’s eyes blink Lillian thinks portrait telling Roe & Nick something & Roe notices windmill on the paper is marked with X. The Enshaw House is haunted if there’s a ghost of Ezra Enshaw lived there at The Enshaw House is creepy & spooky. The next neighbor named Mona has an anxiety issue & her Daughter named Tamera Dilger. Mona had Husband named Lyndon Dilger. Lillian brings Anthony, the Brother of Frank at The Enshaw House. Teen Aurora & Sally saw something like fog in the middle of the night. When Nick & Roe heard music when they woke up & Sally goes with Roe. Nick & Phillip notice portrait of Ezra; if Phillip moves it but someone did. Aurora notices too; someone moves it. so, portrait of Ezra is downstairs but whose move it. 🔎 "I really enjoyed the latest Aurora Mystery! Which says a lot because I think they have done way too many of them. It has been a while since they’ve done one this well. Was there a different writer than usual? The mystery was so suspenseful and spooky compared to all the rest. Their was actually more flashback scenes than I expected, which was really nice! Sally is always my favorite character and I’m glad she had her usual “scaredy-cat” response to everything. The part where she was forced to spend the night in the house was so funny! Everyone’s reactions to her believing it’s really a ghost are hilarious! A couple things confused me and annoyed me a little. One, who believes that Lillian is part of a paranormal investigation crew? She’s always scoffed at Aurora and her mysteries. Why is she all of a sudden interested in ghosts? I did, however, like how she was more integrated. She is a funny character that gets overlooked a lot. Second, why was there no mention of their childhood friend Jack after the opening scene? I kept expecting him to show up but he never did. (Spoilers) Thirdly, they didn’t resolve who wrote the message one the mirror the second time. Lastly, they can very slow sometimes. Obviously the drawing she found was a map! Come on! How long does it take you to figure that one out? Overall, this one ranks in the top three for me. Only after the two originals." ~Anonymous

PLOT:

Storyline via Lifetime: To pull off a spectacular Christmas themed wedding at the exclusive Snowview Lodge, wedding planner, Cadence Clark (Drew) - joins forces with Henry Harrison (McPartlin), co-owner of a family-run Christmas decoration and house-lighting company. Cadence and Henry, both single parents of young daughters, grow closer as they contribute to each others' projects - Cadence with the wedding and Henry with his high-profile client, Mrs. Sutton (Warren), and her annual VIP Christmas Eve party. However, a snow storm threatens to wreak havoc on the wedding. But with help from Henry, family, and some holiday magic, Cadence may just be able to pull off the wedding and perhaps fall in love along the way.
