Movie Reviews:

πŸ’• "The Wedding Veil Unveiled is family friendly & it’s based on the book called; “There Goes the Bride” by Lori Wilde. (CAUTION: REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!) Avery’s friend named Emma Loughery is a Professor whose takes course American Art History for her class & she is still processing the end of a long-distance relationship, is traveling to Italy to teach a course on American Art History in Italy & she takes a supposedly an ancient 19th century magical wedding veil with her on a trip to Venice with her & planning to research its origins in her free time. Paolo loves to correct Emma’s Italian words & Emma never did figure out how to pronounce certain words correctly. Emma’s research leads her to the island town of Burano, which is known for its handcrafted lace. Emma meets a dashing Italian man named Paolo di Stefano, Grandson of the owner of the older shop on the island. It turns out that the wedding veil has a special connection to his family. Together, she & Paolo work to find out how the veil made its way from Italy to an antique store in San Francisco. Emma & Paolo spend more time together, she starts to fall for him. She’s not sure she’s ready for another long-distance romance, but the wedding veil may have other plans. Fate doesn’t need help, it’s just happens, American ones. The bride on portrait by Claudio Amici named Arianna di Stefano who married to Count de Marco who related to Paolo’s Great Great Great Grandfather’s Sister. Emma goes to Library for research for Claudio Amici. Emma faces time with her friends named Tracy & Avery on their Laptop Computers. Emma & Paolo go to see a guy has his Grandma Carmella who works for Great Great Great Aunt La Conessa di Marco. She gave it to her Daughter named Claudia. He had a Cousin named Angela whose moved to US & after war, lost in touch with her. Claudio & Arianna fell in love on 1889, Chambermaid’s Daughter Claudia’s christening gown. She is their Daughter. Adrianna had no intended to keep this wedding veil. Maria believes if found it found its way to Emma for a reason. Paolo’s family opens their own store in New York. 6 months later, Paolo & Emma’s Wedding Day in Chicago, IL.. Paolo’s whole family job in new store in Chicago instead of New York. Tracy’s turn to wear 19th century wedding veil for her next Wedding Day. The Wedding Veil possesses its find true love seems magical." ~Anonymous

πŸ’• "The Wedding Veil Unveiled... This movie was wonderful and 100% clean and family friendly. I really enjoyed all of it. Loved his Italian family and the chemistry between the two of them was great. Also, just love the whole plot of these three friends and the historical wedding veil. Hope Hallmark continues more like this. Happy Valentine's Day to you all!πŸ’• P.S. Autumn Reeser's dresses and high waisted pants were so cute on her." ~Abigail

πŸ’• "The Wedding Veil Unveiled is very charming! I'm very glad at how clean this trilogy has been! Hopefully the last one can still be a good one." -Maria

πŸ’• "I did watch The Wedding Veil Unveiled, and I was not at all impressed. I am not sure I can put my finger on it, but I don't think the role was well suited for Autumn Reeser, one of my favorites. The location was gorgeous, of course, but I think it lacked chemistry and I admit I was confused about the mystery as well. I might be in the minority, but so far, I am not impressed with either Wedding Veil story, but maybe the third one will be the charm. Also, so very disappointed at the lack of new Valentine's movies from Hallmark. I find myself watching less and less." ~Savvy Girl

πŸ’• "So happy to see someone say that didn't like "The Wedding Veil Unveiled". I thought I thought I was the only one!! I just could not get into that movie! The role just didn't seem to fit Autumn Reeser. I finally changed the channel and watched Harmony of the Heart...great movie by the way!" ~Joyce in Carolina

πŸ’• "I just watched the "The Wedding Veil Unveiled" and loved it. I enjoyed the first one, too, but the misunderstanding over Lacey's singleness started stressing me out. The second one was lovely--the touch of mystery, slow romance that felt true to Autumn's character, and lovely Italian setting made for a well-woven story that charmed me completely! Can wait to see the final movie." :-) ~Alicia

πŸ’• "The Wedding Veil Unveiled" is part two in "The Wedding Veil" series, and I enjoyed the way the story continued. Some of the dialogue wasn't easy to understand, but I liked the way Paolo's family was warm and welcoming to Emma. I enjoyed the first and last movies best, but I still liked this movie and was glad it was family friendly." ~Net

The Wedding Veil LegΠ°cy

Premieres: SΠ°turdΠ°y, February 19, 2022

Starring: Alison Sweeney, Victor Webster, LΠ°cey ChΠ°bert, Π°nd Autumn Reeser

Storyline: TrΠ°cy (Sweeney) meets Nick (Webster) in the third instΠ°llment of the trilogy, Π°nd he helps her sΠ°ve Π°n originΠ°l drΠ°ft of The New Colossus in exchΠ°nge for her helping him run his restΠ°urΠ°nt. TrΠ°cy begins to feel uneΠ°sy Π°s they get closer.

Movie Reviews:

πŸ’• "Proud to say that The Wedding Veil Legacy is not only delightful, but also very clean!! I had a little skepticsm, but Hallmark did a nice job with this trilogy." -Maria

πŸ’• "All of the Wedding Veil trilogy movies were cute and family friendly! We loved them! They were a home run for Hallmark with a great cast." ~Anonymous

πŸ’• "I just finished the final Wedding Veil movie and happy to say it was 100% clean! Just how we like it ;) -It was so great seeing the three friends together again. You can really see how much the love and wanting the best for each other. So sweet. I loved the scene when Avery offers to help paint the apartment. It was nice seeing Peter at the ending as well. The "tuxedo guy" Nick was a great addition to the series. He was kind, funny, and so helpful with lifting the rugs and supportive. Loved the first scene of the two of them at the tux shop. My favorites are the first two, but wish it was still continuing. Gonna miss it. Loved it sooo much! I'm buying it when all three are sold together." ~Abigail

πŸ’• " "The Wedding Veil LegΠ°cy" was the perfect way to end "The Wedding Veil" series of movies! I love the romance between TrΠ°cy (Alison Sweeney) and Nick (Victor Webster) and the easy-going way these two fell in love! It was fun the way Tracy didn't believe in the "Veil" legend, but Avery and Emma were strong believers. I love that these three best friends are always there for one another. I highly recommend all three movies in "The Wedding Veil" trilogy!" ~Net

πŸ’• "Well this is strange that no one has mentioned this. In "The Wedding Veil Legacy," there are a couple of scenes where the main female character (Alison Sweeney) talks about her boyfriend moving out of her apartment, and her possibly moving to L.A. to live with him. And then it gets mentioned later in the movie, again. Otherwise, it was a great movie! Enjoyed all three in the "Trilogy," this one and Autumn's the most, then Lacey's. It was nice that this one wasn't as heavy on the veil and painting mystery as the other two were, for me." ~Amy G.

The Hallmark Channel finishes *Loveuary* with the premiere of one more film...

Welcome to MΠ°mΠ°’s

Premieres: SΠ°turdΠ°y, February 26, 2022

Starring: MelΠ°nie ScrofΠ°no, LorrΠ°ine BrΠ°cco, Π°nd DΠ°niel di TomΠ°sso

Storyline: MΠ°nΠ°ger Amy (ScrofΠ°no) inherits Π°n ItΠ°liΠ°n restΠ°urΠ°nt in Brooklyn Π°nd teΠ°ms up with Π° mΠ°ster chef to reopen it Π°nd mΠ°ke her fΠ°mily proud.

Movie Reviews:

πŸ’• "Welcome to Mama’s is family friendly. Restaurant manager Amy inherits a Brooklyn restaurant after “Mama Maria Tucci” passes away and must team up with a master chef, Frank, who’s looking for a second chance. Will they be able to put their differences aside, relaunch the restaurant for the community that loves it & Mama so much, and find love?" ~Anonymous

πŸ’• "Welcome to Mama's is family friendly! However, I can't say I enjoyed the movie all that much. My favorite parts were the flashbacks of Mama running the restaurant and young Mama and Papa falling in love in the late 60s. The present day romance fell flat, however. The two leads had no chemistry. At one point, my thirteen year old commented, "why is she leaning so far away from him?" You wondered if the male actor had bad breath! I honestly didn't like Frank at all. I didn't understand why Amy had to apologize for changing the menu back to Mama's classics, either. It seemed like no one liked Frank's menu, and the restaurant started going under when he changed things. You go to an Italian restaurant for the classics, right? The movie did make me hungry for some pasta, though!" ~melnewlife

πŸ’• "Finally got around to watching Welcome to Mama's, and it's very good!" -Maria

πŸ’• "Try as I might, I just couldn’t get into this one, even though it is family friendly. First of all, I wasn’t anticipating Mama to have already passed when the movie began, so that was a rather daunting start. The romance was steady and somewhat sweet, but a slow burn." ~Net

Love is certainly in the air this February! I'm especially intrigued by "The Wedding Veil" series of films; I sure hope they will be as good as they sound!

Movie Review:

They kiss at the end of the movie on sailboat." ~Anonymous

⛵️ "Love Knots - MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS Apart from Cupid's On Beacon Street I've thooughly enjoyed the Incendo movies which BYU has aired. Sadly this is the second one which didn't hit the spot. First, it is certainly family-friendly. We've seen similar plot lines before - corporate company buying over property, local businesses and way of life under threat - in this case a new marina is being planned and a family sail-making company is threatened. There's plenty of scope there and no reason why this couldn't have been good. I've only seen one other review (apart from here) and interestingly that reviewer has found exactly the same problem as myself and that is the female lead (Jodie) played by Brooke Williams. At the start she gets right in the face of a photographer (who later turns out to be the architect of the planned new marina) with the result that the guy stpes back and falls into the water. Jodie shows no remorse at all, thinks it's funny and taunts him to get over to the steps to get out, not even offering to help or knowing if he could swim - this was totally unacceptable and I really couldn't get into her character after that. I found her somewhat smug, pretty selfish wanting everything her own way and priding herself on being a big fish in a small pond. Matthew Walker who played the male lead Will was a perfectly nice guy but he lacked drive and couldn't be said to have much charisma - there wasn't much spark between them. There was some nice scenery but the story was slow, dull and predictable as it limped towards the end. In my opinion one to miss." Forence's rating - 4.

Cut, Color, Murder

Premiere Date: Sunday, February 6, 2022

Starring: Julie Gonzalo and Ryan McPartlin

Storyline: When a beauty pageant creator is found dead, a savvy hairdresser works with a detective and risks everything to clear the names of those she loves.

Movie Review:

πŸ”Ž "Color, Cut, Murder: 100% clean. No issues with same sex. The man who worked in the salon doing makeup on the Beauty Pageant girls kinda made me uncomfortable, but he didn't act feminine at all. It was a good mystery, kept me guessing. Kinda cheesy. I liked her relationship with the police chief. I'm guessing by the ending there will be a sequel. Also, I had forgotten how much commercials were on TV. I'll save it for special occasions, like the Wedding Veil movies." ~Abigail

πŸ”Ž "Enjoyed Cut,Color, Murder. It has an interesting back story. My curiosity has been piqued by the last scene in the movie. It was very well done and different from some of the other mystery movies. Hope to see more." ~Anonymous

πŸ”Ž "Didn't really care for Cut Color Murder. Too catty, and Allie seemed a bit too much of a smart aleck IMO. On the plus side, The trailers for Haunted by Murder and The Presence of Love look good." -Maria

πŸ”Ž "No Spoilers in my review… This movie is family-friendly for around age 12 and up, being a murder mystery. The mystery part of the story was intriguing, as several people seemed guilty. I suspected the person who did the crime, but I was never 100% certain until that person was revealed. The cast all worked well together; I really liked Ali (Julie Gonzalo, “Christmas with the Kranks,” “Falling for Vermont”) and Chelsea (Grace Beedie, “Five Star Christmas”) as sisters. Plus, it was obvious there was a bit of a spark between Ali and Detective Kyle Crawford (played by Ryan McPartlin, “Chance at Romance,” “The Flight Before Christmas”). The one thing that bugged me was the haircuts! The movie is supposed to be all about a mystery-solving hairdresser, but each time Ali touched anyone’s hair – she pretended to trim a little around the neck and that’s it. She was basically done with each hair cut in 2 minutes. I’m sure any hairdressers watching this movie found it to be quite humorous. Overall, this movie was an enjoyable watch; however, the end is left in such a way – it appears they are planning more of these." ~Net

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Haunted by Murder

Premiere Date: Sunday, February 20, 2022

Starring: Candace Cameron Bure, Niall Matter, Marilu Henner, Lexa Doig, Peter Benson, Miranda Frigon, Dylan Sloane, Ellie Harvie, Cole Vigue and Julia Benson

Storyline: When Aurora Teagarden and her best friend, Sally Allison, were teenagers, they entered the infamous 'haunted' Crenshaw Mansion on a dare and, to their shock, came upon a dead body in a secret room! It's twenty years later, and Aurora's mother, Aida, has bought the Crenshaw Mansion with plans to renovate and sell, dismissing the notion that the house is haunted.

πŸ”Ž "Aurora Teagarden: Haunted by Murder – No Spoilers in my review… I thought this Aurora movie was a bit creepier than most of the other Aurora Teagarden movies. Being a murder mystery, it is family friendly for around age 12 and up, depending on the child. Warning: there is a lot of talk all throughout the entire movie about ghosts. It felt like an episode right out of Scooby Doo, with the haunted house and an old portrait that moved around the house without anyone touching it. At one point, Aida (Aurora’s mother) even brings a paranormal search team, in which Lillian (Aurora’s co-worker, the librarian) is a member, into the house to look for any ghosts or spirits. I wasn’t fond of all the talk about ghosts, and neither was Sally (Aurora’s best friend), but most everyone kept saying ghosts weren’t real and there was a scientific, real explanation. In the end, of course, there is a real live-person, who is the culprit. Also, I had figured we wouldn’t see much of Candace and Lexa’s real-life daughters, who played the teen version of Aurora and Sally in flashbacks, but their scenes were even shorter than I had anticipated, which was disappointing. Overall, it was great to see the regular cast members return for this new mystery, and even though it wasn’t my personal favorite from the Aurora library of films, I do hope we see more “Aurora Teagarden” mysteries in the future!" ~Net

πŸ”Ž "I love the first five Aurora movies and have watched those numerous times. The rest of the movies have been kinda blah. I hate that John, Sally’s uncle, left the series, some of the main characters were missing from some of the movies due to the actors’ scheduling conflicts and the plots were a little slow. I did like the addition of Niall as the love interest, and her cousin as another member of the real murders club, but still didn’t enjoy most of the storylines in the later movies. Given all that, I didn’t have high hopes for the new Aurora movie, but was pleasantly surprised. I loved it, especially the spooky elements in this one. It might be my favorite Aurora movie." ~Melissa

πŸ”Ž "WOW!! That Aurora Teagarden Mystery was soooo good! No mushy scenes this time...It was probably the best one I've seen for awhile, since the Garage Sale days, at least. As usual, Sally was her funny scaredy cat self, and Philip was a go getter. And of course....Aida bought a "haunted" house! They did such a good job filming the spooky house. I'm definitely buying this when it comes out. It also looks like they are keeping the door open for Aurora's father to join the show. I would LOVE to see Aurora's parents remarried. Their reasons for splitting up seemed sad(and selfish) to me. Marriage is so sacred. They did seem to still love each other in the wedding film. Also appreciated the fact that we didn't see Aurora and Nick sharing a bed together (since they are both married in real life, if only they wouldn't kiss). As much as I love watching Candace, I've never understood how a Christian married woman could kiss another. It has always bothered me about her movies. When I think of Lillian, I never thought of ghosts! ;) -Still funny. ~Abigail

πŸ”Ž "Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Haunted by Murder is kinda spooky theme. (This review contains some possible SPOLIERS) Teen Aurora, Sally, Arthur, & Jack were at Ezra Enshaw House. When Aida bought Enshaw house for renovation & sell Lillian Tibbett, Zachary, Paranormal Investigators are part of Paranormal Society. Teen Roe found a secret room to open under the drawer of the dresser. Nick, Roe,& Mona heard piano playing melody. Lillian & the rest are Ghost Hunters. It’s like Scooby Doo gang. The chair is moving, the secret room is open, & the portrait of Ezra’s eyes blink Lillian thinks portrait telling Roe & Nick something & Roe notices windmill on the paper is marked with X. The Enshaw House is haunted if there’s a ghost of Ezra Enshaw lived there at The Enshaw House is creepy & spooky. The next neighbor named Mona has an anxiety issue & her Daughter named Tamera Dilger. πŸ”Ž "I really enjoyed the latest Aurora Mystery! Which says a lot because I think they have done way too many of them. It has been a while since they’ve done one this well. Was there a different writer than usual? The mystery was so suspenseful and spooky compared to all the rest. Their was actually more flashback scenes than I expected, which was really nice! Sally is always my favorite character and I’m glad she had her usual “scaredy-cat” response to everything. The part where she was forced to spend the night in the house was so funny! Everyone’s reactions to her believing it’s really a ghost are hilarious! A couple things confused me and annoyed me a little. One, who believes that Lillian is part of a paranormal investigation crew? She’s always scoffed at Aurora and her mysteries. Why is she all of a sudden interested in ghosts? I did, however, like how she was more integrated. She is a funny character that gets overlooked a lot. Second, why was there no mention of their childhood friend Jack after the opening scene? I kept expecting him to show up but he never did. (Spoilers) Thirdly, they didn’t resolve who wrote the message one the mirror the second time. Lastly, they can very slow sometimes. Obviously the drawing she found was a map! Come on! How long does it take you to figure that one out? Overall, this one ranks in the top three for me. Only after the two originals." ~Anonymous
