Hallmark Christmas Movie gives Salute to the Troops! πŸŽ„ SEE HERE:

Where can you find Christmas this week? On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and the Hallmark Channel, you can find Christmas under the stars with Jesse Metcalfe and Autumn Reeser, AND you can find Christmas at a well known amusement park with Danica McKellar and Niall Matter.

As we approach Memorial Day weekend, I want to highlight a special scene in Christmas Under the Stars, where the Christmas tree lot owner, Clem, briefly speaks of losing his friend, who he met in the Air Force. Then Clem, as seen in the photo above, kindly greets a young service man who is heading out on duty for 6 months and wants to make this Christmas special.

See more details on the Christmas movies airing this week below...

Thursday, May 27, 2021:

Storyline: When Nick, a career-focused investment banker, is fired from his high-powered firm at Christmastime, he takes a job at a Christmas tree lot owned by a warmhearted, elderly man. There, he meets Julie, an astronomy teacher who’s always looked to the stars for hope. As the Christmas spirit washes over him — and he begins falling for Julie — the once self-centered Nick discovers the joy of helping others. When he learns that Julie and the tree lot owner are facing hard times, Nick strives to end their troubles in time for them all to share a Christmas under the stars.

Friday, May 28, 2021:

Storyline:Event planner Rachel Davis returns to her Tennessee hometown to take on the biggest job of her career – Dollywood’s 30th Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration – and is teamed up with unimaginative operations director Luke Hakman to plan the event that has to be as bombastic and glamourous as Dolly Parton herself. And when Dolly gets involved in a little matchmaking, Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas event lights up the sky with joy, laughter and love.

Both of these Christmas movies airing this week are family friendly.

I like both of these Christmas movies, especially "Christmas Under the Stars!" The pairing of Jesse Metcalfe and Autumn Reeser is excellent; you'll instantly feel the warmth of this sweet rom-com when love is found at the Star Top Christmas tree lot.

Even though I love this movie, I am, however, a little surprised we are seeing it repeat again during the week... thankfully, *Christmas in July* will be coming soon in June and we'll get to see a little more variety of Christmas movies!

Please share your thoughts on these Christmas movies below...

Which CHRISTMAS MOVIE did I choose to Mark the 25th of March? 🌟 SEE and SHARE Your Pick HERE:

 πŸŽ„ Merry *Mark the 25th*! πŸŽ„

On each 25th day of the month we highlight the day here at *It's a Wonderful Movie* as we Countdown to Christmas! March 25th marks 9 months until December 25th, Christmas day!

If you'd like to join along to celebrate the day - all you have to do is choose something Christmassy to watch TODAY! It can be a Christmas movie, cartoon, family sitcom or anything you like. (There's only one stipulation - it must be family friendly.) Then, please share in comments below your Christmas choice for the day!

Last month, you may recall, the 25th also landed on a Thursday, which is one of the days Hallmark plays their weekly Christmas movies.

Since I happen to love the Christmas movie airing today (Thursday, March 25th) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, I am choosing my pick to *Mark the 25th"...

Starring: Jesse Metcalfe and Autumn Reeser

Storyline via Hallmark: When Nick, a career-focused investment banker, is fired from his high-powered firm at Christmastime, he takes a job at a Christmas tree lot owned by a warmhearted, elderly man.

If you can't catch Christmas Thursday night, then perhaps you can tune in for the Hallmark Channel's Christmas movie- Friday night...

Starring: Elizabeth Henstridge, Ryan Paevey, Bruce Davison and Julia Duffy

Storyline via Hallmark: With Christmas approaching in New York City, Jessica, an archival historian enmeshed in a declining romantic relationship, is hired to create an exhibition honoring the history of Christmas at The Plaza Hotel. There, she meets Nick, a handsome decorator who’s been commissioned to deck out the iconic landmark. When they’re paired together to prepare the exhibition, they wind up enjoying a host of holiday traditions together and find themselves falling for each other. Tensions soon rise as Jessica must figure out her romantic priorities and decide with whom she’ll ultimately spend Christmas at The Plaza.

I wholehearted recommend both of these Christmas movies that premiered on the Hallmark Channel in 2019! There's a deeper, richer story within both of these films; in "Christmas Under the Stars" it's interesting to see when Nick (Jesse Metcalfe) finds a fresh perspective after he losses his white collar corporate job and finds himself at a low point working for Clem, at a local tree lot. Gradually Nick finds a renewed sense of purpose there, along with new friends, including Clem, Julie (Autumn Reeser) and her son, Matt (Anthony Bolognese). I enjoyed the star theme thoughout the movie and watching Nick capture a new view on life and Christmas.

"Christmas at the Plaza" is a movie filled with history and romance. Ryan Paevey's character, Nick (yes, another Nick, a common character name used at Christmas!), is the Christmas decorator at the Plaza Hotel and Jessica (Elizabeth Henstridge) is there to create a special exhibition for Christmas! First, she has to come up with a great theme for this grand event. Along the way, Nick inspires Jessica and shows her a joyful side of the Christmas Season she had been missing. Nick shares with Jessica the history of his grandparents dancing at the Plaza and another past romance may be reunited there!

You can check out more Christmas movies airing in April - here! By the way, one movie on the schedule has been changed. "Deliver by Christmas" will now only have one air date in April - April 29th on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. It has been removed on April 9th and replaced with "The Sweetest Christmas."

If you'd like to join in our Countdown to Christmas event, please share your *Mark the 25th* Christmas pick in comments below!

🌟 FOLLOW THAT STAR! 🌟 CHRISTMAS MOVIES RETURN ALL YEAR LONG ON HALLMARK!!!

*image via: Hallmark Crown Media Family Networks

I know many of us miss the glow and warmth of Christmas once the season draws to a close, but we can keep that same spirit in our hearts and with Hallmark, once again, it never really ends!

Join Hallmark Drama every Wednesday night, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on Thursday nights, and the Hallmark Channel on Friday nights - all throughout the year (as the promo "currently" says) for classic Christmas movies!

Here's what you can look forward to this week...

The first Hallmark Drama Christmas movie (after Christmas) is "The Christmas Heart" on Wednesday, January 8th at 9pm/8c..

Airing just before that, is another heartwarming, touching movie, "The Color of Rain," at 7pm/6c., which is Christmassy at the very end of the movie. Stars Lacey Chabert and Warren Christie. (See my review - here.)

The first Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Christmas movie (after Christmas) is "Our Christmas Love Song" on Thursday, January 9th at 9pm/8c.

And... the first Hallmark Channel Christmas movie (after Christmas) is "Christmas Under the Stars" on Friday, January 10th at 10pm/9c.

Wherever 2020 leads each of us this year, I pray we always take the time to look up - and follow that star!

May you enjoy these encore Christmas movie presentations this week on all three Hallmark networks.

The first of January is always a relaxing time in our home, when we finally take some time to enjoy many of the Christmas movies we missed throughout the holiday season. Just last week, I watched "Christmas Under the Stars" for the very first time and absolutely loved it! Jesse Metcalfe and Autumn Reeser are just wonderful together again - since "A Country Wedding!" (another favorite!) And then... I was completely mesmerized by it once again - when it repeated on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries last Sunday. If you haven't seen this one, yet, or if you loved it as much as I did, then you'll definitely want to be sure and watch it again this Friday night!

Happy Christmas watching, everyone - as we Countdown to Christmas 2020!
