*Two back-to-back episodes!

Reviews:
(*Note: The reviews below are from those of us who streamed this series last Christmas on Hallmark+)

πŸŽ„ Mistletoe Murders is family friendly (1st episode) and liking it so far. -Elizbeth

πŸŽ„ Mistletoe Murders - Okay, so I decided to get Hallmark+ for the Christmas season. I’ve watched the first two episodes of “Mistletoe Murders,” and it is a cozy sort of mystery.

Sarah Drew (“Guiding Emily”) is the lead and she is good in this genre. Her character, Emily Lane, owns and runs a Christmas shop, but she also has a covert mysterious past.

The show has a sort of “Murder, She Baked” vibe to it with all the community involvement in Fletcher’s Grove, and Emily has two adorable cats. Sarah Drew’s opposite is Peter Mooney (“Fly Away with Me”), who plays local police officer, Sam Wilner. He is a single divorced father with a daughter in high school, who also works with Emily at her Christmas shop.

I won’t give any of the mystery away, but one of the suspects is an unmarried pregnant woman. There is some mystery as to who the father is of her unborn baby. Another male suspect is referred to as her (and I quote) “Baby Daddy.” Due to that and some violence centered around the murder, the episodes are best-suited for a mature audience.

Thus far, “Mistletoe Murders” is an intriguing mystery series. ~Net

πŸŽ„ I’ve been watching the Mistletoe Murders Mystery series and so far it’s pretty good. I just finished the first half of episode 2 and so far it’s been family friendly. ~Abigail

πŸŽ„ So I started a 7 day free trial of Hallmark + last night because I wanted to watch the Mistletoe Murders and I watched the first movie (episode 1 &2 as it breaks it up into 2 episodes I don’t know why) and it was surprisingly good! I personally don’t care for Sarah Drew, never cared for any of the movies she did, but this one surprised me! I think she was good in the sleuthing role and I’m excited to watch the other 2 mistletoe Murder movies. The only thing I don’t care for is how she narrates in the movie. I’m okay with that in the beginning to set the stage but she does it throughout the entire movie and it is kind of distracting to my own thoughts when I watch a mystery movie. I want to dissect it in my own mind and her narration is distracting. ~Paula

Saturday, October 18, 2025:

Storyline: "Overwhelmed by her royal duties during the Christmas season, Princess Victoria of Zelarnia (Gubelmann) is ready for a change of pace. Looking to decompress in the days leading up to Christmas, she decides to take a vacation to Peaceful Pines Ranch in Montana, where she celebrated Christmas as a child with her late father. Upon arrival, she meets her dashing guide, Huntley Blaylock (Christie), who presents her and the other guests at the ranch with a rustic experience that is far from the royal treatment. This Christmas, Huntley must decide if he wants to step into a leadership role and carry on the family ranch's legacy as his parents, the owners, approach retirement. Unaware of her status as a princess, Huntley puts Victoria through the rigors of a Montana ranch experience. Victoria also plans to help Huntley revive the ranch's Christmas Holly-Day Dance. Victoria finds herself charmed by both Huntley and this different pace of life. As the two start to fall for each other, things get complicated when Huntley discovers Victoria is a princess. As Christmas approaches and her time at the ranch comes to an end, Victoria must decide if she should return to her royal life or stay in Montana with Huntley and the ranch she has grown so fond of."

Typically, Angels work alone, but when the Christmas Connection Department faces the threat of downsizing, Monica and Michael are unexpectedly paired to ensure Daisy and Patrick fall in love before Christmas. The partnership isn't without its challenges: Monica is a by-the-book traditionalist who follows every heavenly rule, while Michael embraces spontaneity and delights in earthly joys like hot chocolate, snowball fights, and holiday dancing. Their clashing styles – and the undeniable spark growing between them – complicate their mission. As Christmas Eve draws near, Monica and Michael worry that their differences will keep them from completing their mission in time. But just when it seems all hope is lost, a surprising turn of events changes everything — leading to a Christmas connection no one saw coming."

SHINING THE LIGHT
OF CHRISTMAS

Christ Born of Mary

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.

But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” "

Matthew 1:18-22

Hey, Streamers & Movie Dreamers...

In case you missed this news, Hallmark Media has struck a multi-year agreement with Netflix that will bring Hallmark’s original series and select films to Netflix in the United States, as well as make some of its holiday films available internationally.

With this new deal, the first two seasons of the series "The Way Home" will stream on Netflix beginning October 1, 2025, with the third season arriving in February 2026. Future seasons will debut first on Hallmark Channel/Hallmark+ before streaming on Netflix.

In addition to airing Hallmark's series, the agreement also includes some of Hallmark's Christmas movies, including "Haul Out the Holly," "Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up," "All I Need for Christmas," "Christmas Under the Lights," "Our Holiday Story," and more.

🍁 Hallmark Announces *Fall Into Love* Movies for October 2025 πŸπŸƒ SEE HERE:

Welcome to the cozy “ber” months, friends! πŸ‚

The Hallmark Channel is adding to the upcoming Autumn season... the official premiere dates for their October *Fall Into Love* movies!

Think football games, golden leaves, and all the autumn-inspired feels you love with some of Hallmark’s favorites like Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Nikki DeLoach, and Warren Christie.

Snuggle in with a blanket and check out the details for these upcoming movies (and more!) below...

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

Hallmark Channel:

Home Turf

Premieres: October 4, 2025, at 8pm/7c

Starring: Nikki DeLoach and Warren Christie

Storyline: Cassidy is the president of a small college whose life is thrown for a loop when freshmen on the football team move into her home. Can Logan, the handsome coach, help smooth things over?

Movie Reviews:

🍁 Home Turf - Hi everyone, yep Home Turf is family friendly, funny, it’s set at fall, but could be on at anytime, it’s an enjoyable watch. ~Anonymous

🍁 Home Turf - I am glad to say that yes, Home Turf is family friendly! But, is is worth watching? Well, if you are fans of Nikki and Warren (as I am), then yes, because they are both at the top of their game! They are so good together, and you can see the chemistry develop between these two. And they look like they are having a blast playing off each other!

But, the storyline is too far-fetched for me to recommend it beyond the actors. I mean, who in their right mind would have 5 male college freshman football players go and live unsupervised with the single attractive female college president in her home? Really?! And when the coach has his own living quarters? (Yes, less space, but still...!) And the transformation of these players becoming so sweet and thoughtful...I just couldn't buy it. So bottom line, if you want to watch a fun romance between Nikki and Warren and put the plot aside, go for it. But if you aren't fans of them, you may want to skip this one! ~Anonymous

🍁 Home Turf is definitely chaotic, yet also quite charming. –Maria

🍁 Home Turf - Such a fun, family-friendly movie filled with great energy! The opening is delightfully chaotic (so true, Maria!), and while a few moments feel a bit far-fetched (I’m with you on that, Mark 25) - especially the party scene with everyone singing around the piano. I thought it was sweet, though maybe not the most realistic for college kids today. Still, the heart of the story and the chemistry are excellent. In the end, the love story is good, and I enjoyed the overall message of rediscovering love and the joy of teamwork and trusting others. ~Net

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

The Jane Mysteries: Too Much to Lose

Premieres: October 5, 2025, at 9pm/8c

Starring: Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar

Storyline: When a reporter interviewing JANE seeks help to find a missing colleague, Jane takes on the case. IRENE has disappeared after winning a game show, which leads Jane to uncover a web of deceit.

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

Haul Out the Halloween

Premieres: October 11, 2025, at 8pm/7c

Starring: Lacey Chabert, Wes Brown, Stephen Tobolowsky, Melissa Peterman, Ellen Travolta

Storyline: New, Halloween-obsessed neighbors inspire residents of Evergreen Lane to haul out their spookiest costumes and dΓ©cor to become EverSCREAM Lane.

Movie Reviews:

🍁 Haul out the Halloween was clean & funny! ~Anonymous

🍁 Haul Out the Halloween was fun. Much of the quick banter we've come to expect from the other movies. Sure there are references to witches or spells but nothing presenting these as real or that a character thinks are real. There's an implied Christian reference to Halloween originally intended to remember those who are no longer with us...a reference to All Saints Day. ~Keith

🍁 Haul out the Halloween I thought it was mild. No spells. They have the decorating they do on the houses, a baking contest, costume contest. Emily reminiscing about her grandma(the photo of grandma on the wall does move a few times when they straighten it but thats all) It is full of the humor like the first one. P.s. there is a wedding.... :) ~Anonymous

🍁 I’m in the beginning of Haul Out the Halloween and the community is really funny and corky, but all the spooky Halloween stuff is not my taste. I don’t like how as children they were taught by grandma about the goodness of Halloween. I came close to turning it off. I may just skip through so I can enjoy the townspeople. Loved that it starts with a wedding and Jared brought his HOA book with him on his honeymoon ;) ~Abigail

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried At C

Premieres: October 12, 2025, at 9pm/8c

Starring: Tamera Mowry-Housley, Risteard Cooper, and Marco Grazzini

Storyline: Our favorite music teacher Gethsemane is back again along with her trusted ghost friend Eamon to solve the unexplained death of a sea captain.

Movie Reviews:

🍁 Buried at C... two ghosts for those who wish to avoid that. For those who want a review. It's clean and the mystery was good in it. If you watched the first one and enjoyed it you will like this one. ~Anonymous

🍁 Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C - I agree. It was well acted, the mystery was pretty good, it was funny people seeing her talk to air and they do a great job incorporating the gorgeous scenery. I don't think the romance is that well done though. Misty

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

I hope you all find something fun to look forward to watching this Fall on the Hallmark Channel! πŸπŸƒ

I'm personally most interested in Home Turf and maybe the new Jane Mystery.

Most of you likely know that Halloween and spooky ghost stories aren’t my thing, but I’d love to hear what you think. Be sure to share your thoughts on these new movies in the comments below.

And can you believe it? This is the very last movie release before the big Christmas movie announcements arrive! Stay tuned! πŸŽ„✨

Happy watching, friends!

Perhaps, there is a progression of time, and they are divorced after her husband walked out on her? This information is uncertain, but I wanted to be certain to acknowledge and mention this before watching.

Sparks fly as Javi helps Camila connect with her Mexican roots and, with her 30th birthday around the corner, Javi encourages Camila to mark this milestone with a “double quinceaΓ±era” to honor her Hispanic heritage. Not one for big parties, she’s hesitant at first but ultimately decides to take the plunge and celebrate in style.

Please note: I haven't pre-screened the new movies listed above. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in the comments below.

My "When Calls the Heart" baby guess...

It appears we will have the arrival of Rosemary and Lee Coulter's baby this Sunday night on "When Calls the Heart." I originally thought the baby might be a boy, and they would name him after Lee's brother, Patrick, but since Elizabeth already has Little Jack, I'm wondering if perhaps they might go with a girl this time. Wouldn't it be sweet if they named the baby after the "When Calls the Heart" story creator, Janette Oke? I think that would be very nice, a perfect tribute to this wonderful Christian woman who inspired this heartwarming series with her frontier stories and books. Anyway, that's my hope, but it's only a guess. I would love to hear your guesses in the comments below.

Have a Blessed Weekend, Everyone!

Please Note: This movie is heartbreaking and touching as it shows the death of two spouses and parents to young children. There is also a story of hope as they rediscover love again. This is not a Christmas movie, but there is a beautiful scene at the end that takes place at Christmastime with the children performing in a Church Nativity Pageant.

The last Christmas movie airing this week is "Crashing Through the Snow" on the Hallmark Channel. I know there were a lot of mixed feelings on this movie. It had some cute moments and fun banter, some loved it, others did not. My personal feeling is: marriage is a serious lifetime commitment, but I didn’t feel it was taken seriously, at all, in this movie.
