The cozy months are beginning, Fall is on its way, and for all of us who love Christmas movies… we are officially on CHRISTMAS MOVIE SCHEDULE WATCH! 🎬🎄👀

We are getting closer and closer to the most wonderful movie season of the year, and now the anticipation really begins as we wait for the full lists of 2026 Christmas movie premieres to be revealed from the Hallmark Channel, Great American Family, Lifetime & UPtv!!!

Of course, we’ve already been treated to a few sneak peeks and announcements along the way, but there is nothing quite like when those FULL Christmas movie schedules start dropping!

It almost feels like waiting up for Santa on Christmas Eve... when you know something exciting is coming, you just don’t know exactly when it’s going to arrive! I absolutely LOVE the anticipation!

Our favorite season is getting closer!

🎄 Christmas in July Wraps Up this Week - Don't Miss Your Favorites!

The month of July is coming to an end soon, along with the *Christmas in July* movies airing on TV; however, I have good news for those of you who want to hold onto the Christmas movies just a little longer!

While the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Family end their holiday movies on July 31st, Great American Family and Great American Faith & Living are extending their coverage throughout the weekend - into the first few days of August!

BURBANK, CA (October 22, 2025) – The CW Network today announced its slate of upcoming holiday programming featuring a roster of classics and family favorites including GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER, THE 93rd ANNUAL HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS PARADE, BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER!, as well as the CW premiere of the hit TV movie DOLLY PARTON’S COAT OF MANY COLORS.

The holiday season kicks off with A WALTONS THANKSGIVING airing on Saturday, November 22 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). The Walton family is reunited as they prepare for Thanksgiving in 1934. The Depression has affected everyone, but John Walton (Teddy Sears) has found a way to provide for his family through the farm and by picking up odd jobs from the eccentric Baldwin Sisters. It’s also the time of year for the Annual Harvest Festival Fair, where carnival rides, talent shows and pie contests become the center of attention for the Waltons. As the story unfolds, John Boy (Logan Shroyer) learns the true meaning of taking responsibility, Mary Ellen (Marcelle LeBlanc) comes to understand patience and collaboration, Grandma (Rebecca Koon) finds that winning can be complicated, and Olivia (Bellamy Young) shares her healing heart with every other Walton family member — at a time when each of them need it most. And when a young boy enters the Waltons’ world, everyone’s life is changed in ways they could never have imagined — transformed forever through love, faith and kindness!

The holiday favorite GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER returns to The CW on Friday, November 28 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT). A one-hour special based on the hit song that became a worldwide holiday phenomenon, GRANDMA GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER is a goofy and heartwarming adventure that features young Jake Spankenheimer on the quest of a lifetime to track his missing Grandma down on Christmas Eve to prove that Santa Claus is indeed real. Michele Lee (“Knots Landing”) provides the voice of Jake’s greedy Cousin Mel and recording artist Elmo Shropshire provides the narration. An encore presentation will air on Wednesday, December 10 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT).

Have yourself a very furry Christmas with A TOTALLY FUNNY ANIMALS HOLIDAY premiering on Friday, November 28 (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT). From festive fails to heartwarming holiday moments, TOTALLY FUNNY ANIMALS is unwrapping the wildest and most wonderful animal antics of the season in this Christmas clip spectacular!

Relive your favorite holiday movie moments with the special BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIES EVER! airing Thursday, December 4 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). Chronicling the best Christmas movies ever, the special features such beloved classics as “Home Alone,” “Elf,” “The Santa Clause,” “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas,” “Miracle on 34th Street,” “Christmas Vacation,” “It’s a Wonderful Life,” and, of course, “Die Hard.” Join over 50 stars, writers, athletes, directors and critics as they share the spirit of the season and unwrap the ultimate holiday gift this December on The CW. The heart-warming family movie THE WALTONS’ HOMECOMING airs on Monday, December 8 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). Set in the 1933 Depression Era, THE WALTONS’ HOMECOMING is told through the eyes of John Boy (Logan Shroyer), the 17-year-old eldest child of John (Ben Lawson) and Olivia Walton (Bellamy Young). The hit TV movie DOLLY PARTON’S COAT OF MANY COLORS makes its CW debut on Thursday, December 11 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). Based on the inspiring true story of living legend Dolly Parton’s remarkable upbringing, this once-in-a-lifetime movie takes place inside the tight-knit Parton family as they struggle to overcome devastating tragedy and discover the healing power of love, faith and a raggedy patchwork coat that helped make Parton who she is today. The film stars Alyvia Alyn Lind, Jennifer Nettles, Rick Shroeder and Gerald McRaney.

The star-studded tradition continues with THE 93rd ANNUAL HOLLYWOOD CHRISTMAS PARADE airing on Friday, December 12 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). Hosted by Erik Estrada and Laura McKenzie with Elizabeth Stanton, the parade will feature Hollywood celebrities and movie cars, award-winning bands from across the country, dazzling equestrians, larger-than-life character balloons, colorful floats, humorous specialty acts, and high-profile performers. The parade culminates with the appearance of the Jolly Old Elf himself, Santa Claus, and his reindeer, ushering in the holiday season! The special is presented and produced by Associated Television International.

On Monday, December 15 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT), Christmas is the time to fall in love with A CALIFORNIA CHRISTMAS. In this love story, a wealthy charmer poses as a ranch hand to get a hardworking farmer to sell her family’s land before Christmas. Written by Lauren Swickard and directed by Shaun Piccinino, the film stars Lauren Swickard and Josh Swickard.

The iconic cartoon bear Yogi heads to The CW with YOGI’S FIRST CHRISTMAS on Friday, December 19 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). Businesswoman Sophie Throckmorton plans to sell the Jellystone Lodge, devastating the regular guests – including Huckleberry Hound, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy, and Snagglepuss – and it’s up to Ranger Smith, manager Mr. Dingwell, and the newly awake Yogi, Boo Boo, and Cindy to keep the Christmas spirit alive amidst the mischievous attempts of two villains to ruin the fun.

The Christmas love story continues with A CALIFORNIA CHRISTMAS: CITY LIGHTS on Monday, December 22 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT). The film follows Callie and Joseph one year after they fell in love, now running a dairy farm and winery, but their romance is threatened when business and family obligations call Joseph back to the city. 🌟🎁 Unwrap More Christmas Joy This Weekend with New Premiere and Holiday Classics

It’s the weekend again, friends!

We are now nearing the end of Christmas in July - with only two weekends to go! This month always flies by nearly as fast as Santa on Christmas Eve!

The Hallmark Channel is halfway through the cable premiere of their four Unwrapping Christmas films; however, there are still plenty of festive holiday classics airing throughout this weekend and the rest of July on Hallmark and Great American Family! I've included the weekend Christmas Schedule below. I’ve also shared (at the end of this post) a few of the Christmas movies I’m especially excited to watch- be sure to let me know your favorites in the comments!

Also, Lifetime has its first suspenseful movie premiere this weekend that includes faith. This film appears to be a powerful and inspirational story set against intense and emotional circumstances. Please note: I have not previewed this film. It may include some adult content and mature dialogue, so viewer discretion is advised.

Over the weekend, I watched A Little Women's Christmas on Great American Family and thought it was lovely, and I watched Santa Tell Me on the Hallmark Channel, which was cozy and a little zany, sometimes, but in a delightful sort of way.

Tonight I'll probably watch something lighthearted and fun and choose a new movie I haven't seen, yet... To Have and To Holiday, which encores tonight, Monday, November 25th at 6pm/5c. on the Hallmark Channel, followed by one of my favorites, Picture a Perfect Christmas at 8pm/7c.! And, if you're a night owl, like I am, A Christmas Less Traveled encores tonight on Great American Family at 10pm/9c.!

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Nov. 4, 2024 - In celebration of the upcoming holiday season, NBC will once again bring families together with its beloved annual specials and a lineup of exciting new programming.

Favorite perennial programming will once again return to viewers homes with "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade," "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" and several others. New programming for 2024 includes "Jimmy Fallon's Holiday Seasoning Spectacular" and "A Motown Christmas," hosted by Smokey Robinson and Halle Bailey. Additionally, NBC will air two beloved holiday classics: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" will return to the network after first launching on NBC in 1964 and "Frosty the Snowman" has also come back to NBC after last airing on the network in 1971.

DEFYING GRAVITY: THE CURTAIN RISES ON WICKED
When: Tuesday, Nov. 19, 10-11 p.m.
What: In celebration of Universal Pictures' new cinematic event, international superstars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande lead an all-star cast in a spectacular behind-the-scenes journey through Oz for their new film, "Wicked." The special will include an exclusive scene from the film.

COUNTDOWN TO MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
When: Wednesday, Nov. 27, 8-9 p.m.
What: Hosted by Wendi McLendon-Covey ("St. Denis Medical") and live from the famous starting line on the eve of the iconic Thanksgiving Day parade, viewers will get a sneak peek at the incredible stories behind the floats, balloons and bands on their journey through the streets of New York.

A SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE THANKSGIVING
When: Wednesday, Nov. 27, 9-11 p.m.
What: The iconic late-night program will highlight memorable Thanksgiving-themed sketches from its 50 seasons.

98th MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
When: Thursday, Nov. 28, 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m. (encore at 2 p.m.)
What: The world famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade continues to bring the magic of the parade to New York City spectators and a national television audience with its exciting array of balloons, floats, marching bands, celebrities and more.

NATIONAL DOG SHOW PRESENTED BY PURINA
When: Thursday, Nov. 28, 12-2 p.m.
What: NBC's Thanksgiving Day tradition is hosted by John O'Hurley, former "Seinfeld" star and winner of "Dancing with the Stars," along with expert analyst David Frei. Mary Carillo will offer a behind-the-scenes account of the competition.

CHRISTMAS IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER
When: Wednesday, Dec. 4, 8-10 p.m.
What: Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the dazzling display of musical talents, star-studded surprises and the lighting of the world's most famous Christmas tree remains one of the holiday season's most anticipated events.

JIMMY FALLON'S HOLIDAY SEASONING SPECTACULAR
When: Wednesday, Dec. 4, 10-11 p.m. (encore on Dec. 18 at 8 p.m.)
What: Jimmy Fallon searches for the holiday spirit in New York, exploring a surreal and magical apartment building where behind every door a different celebrity joins him for a comedic holiday musical performance.

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS When: Thursday, Dec. 5, 8-8:30 p.m. (encore on Dec. 25 at 8 p.m.)
What: The classic animated tale of the curmudgeonly Grinch who's hoping to remove the joy from Christmas but, ultimately, has a change of heart.

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN
When: Thursday, Dec. 5, 8:30-9 p.m. (encore on Dec. 11 at 8 p.m.)
What: The cherished original holiday special about how Frosty, everyone's favorite snowman, came to life one day.

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER
When: Friday, Dec. 6, 8-9:15 p.m. (encore on Dec. 12 at 8 p.m.)
What: The classic animated special offers the perspective of Rudolph, who's told he couldn't play in any Reindeer Games due to his glowing nose. Rudolph sets out on a fantastic journey where he meets Hermey the elf, prospector Yukon Cornelius and a host of Misfit Toys, all while trying to hide from the Abominable Snow Monster.

SHREK THE HALLS
When: Wednesday, Dec. 11, 8:30-9 p.m.
What: This half-hour animated special debuted in 2007 and features a Christmas twist on the original "Shrek" characters.

A MOTOWN CHRISTMAS
When: Wednesday, Dec. 11, 9-11 p.m. (encore on Dec. 17 at p.m.)
What: Hosted by Smokey Robinson and Halle Bailey, this special will feature performances by Motown legends and today's hottest stars celebrating iconic Hitsville U.S.A classics and their favorite holiday songs.

E! NEWS PRESENTS NBC'S HOT 10 OF 2024
When: Thursday, Dec. 12, 9:15-10 p.m. (one-hour extended version airing Dec. 26 at 8 p.m.) What: The end-of-year special hosted by E! News' Justin Sylvester and Keltie Knight will highlight the biggest and most unforgettable moments of the year from the Olympics to award show trendsetters and the buzziest celebrity couples in addition to blockbuster films, television, music, sports, entertainment and more along with what to expect in 2025. Special appearances by Jimmy Fallon, Dolly Parton, Andy Cohen and more who will recount their favorite viral moments.

LITTLE BIG TOWN'S CHRISTMAS AT THE OPRY
When: Monday, Dec. 16, 8-10 p.m. (encore on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m.)
What: A star-studded music special featuring a dazzling array of country's biggest names and hosted by Grammy Award-winning superstars Little Big Town. The celebration will feature a variety of Christmas favorites and holiday classics in front of a live audience at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

When: Wednesday, Dec. 18, 9-11 p.m. (encore on Dec. 23 at 8 p.m.)

BARRY MANILOW'S A VERY BARRY CHRISTMAS
When: Thursday, Dec. 19, 10-11 p.m.
What: With a Vegas-sized backdrop and a renowned band, the evening will feature the best of Manilow's greatest hits, including "Copacabana," "Mandy," "I Write the Songs" and "Looks Like We Made It" along with several holiday favorites.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
When: Tuesday, Dec. 24, 8-11 p.m.
What: NBC again presents this Frank Capra classic starring Jimmy Stewart. An angel is sent from heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed.

CHRISTMAS EVE MASS
When: Sunday, Dec. 24, 11:30 p.m.-1 a.m.
What: Viewers will be able to watch the Pope Francis-led mass from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS
When: Wednesday, Dec. 25, 8:30-11 pm.
What: On the outskirts of Whoville, there lives a green revenge-seeking Grinch who plans on ruining the Christmas holiday for all of the citizens of the town.

DOLLY PARTON'S MOUNTAIN MAGIC CHRISTMAS
When: Thursday, Dec. 26, 9-11 p.m.
What: Join Dolly Parton and friends as she draws on holidays past, guided by her personal Three Wise Mountain Men, to find the unique "mountain magic" of Christmas. Musical performances by Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Miley Cyrus and more.

135th ROSE PARADE PRESENTED BY HONDA
When: Monday, Jan. 1, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. ET / 8-10 a.m. PT
What: The streets of Pasadena, Calif., are lined with thousands of parade fans as gorgeous rose-covered floats and marching bands partake in their annual New Year's holiday festivities.

"Christmas Wreaths and Ribbons" - Geat American Media

The list is mostly the same as before, except "Christmas Wreaths and Ribbons" will now OFFICIALLY be the first Christmas Movie premiere THIS SATURDAY NIGHT on October 12th at 8 p.m. ET!!!

Also, "I Heard the Bells" will now have an encore presentation (airing on both November 28th and November 30th), and "The Fabric of Christmas" has been retitled to "A Christmas Quilt." (I really like this new title!)
