Christmas in July began last night on Great American Family, and I wanted to share some updates (see below) that I noticed while watching throughout the evening. 

The network has a new promo highlighting their 2024 Christmas films, along with the talent that will star in the movies, including Danica McKellar, Jill Wagner, Jesse Hutch, Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron Mathison, Jillian Murray, Trevor Donovan, Mario Lopez, Alexa and Carlos PenaVega, and more!

You may have also noticed some updates in various promos that aired during the commercial breaks, so please let me know if I missed anything.

Whether it's a rom-com or mystery, I hope you all find something to look forward to watching in August!

I think it will be fun to see Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith team up in a new mystery since I already adore them as Rosemary and Lee on When Calls the Heart. It should be interesting. I also like their previous romantic-comedy movies together: The Perfect Bride, The Perfect Bride: Wedding Bells, and You Had Me at Aloha.

And the other movie that has caught my eye, my private eye (ha!), is the new mystery, JAZZ RAMSEY: A K-9 MYSTERY! What actually sparks my interest the most are the two actors starring in this series: Rachel Skarsten and Corey Sevier! The two also starred together as pre-teens/teenagers in the family TV Series, Little Men, which is based on the Novel by Louisa May Alcott. The series ran for two seasons from 1998-1999 on the PAX TV network. I highly recommend this series for family viewing. For anyone who already knows this series, I think it will be great fun to see Rachel Skarsten and Corey Sevier act together again - as grown-ups, who will likely be romantic interests.

I just wanted to remind everyone that *Merry Movie Week* is currently running on Hallmark Mystery; I caught my two favorites over the weekend- A Veteran's Christmas and Miracle in Bethlehem, PA, and parts of others. I just love the way they always make me feel good inside and fill me with peace.

The Hallmark Channel is bringing Christmas Cheer with their annual Christmas in July event on Friday, June 28th!

Great American Family's Christmas in July also kicks off with 24/7 Christmas movie coverage on Monday, July 1st, one week from today!

UPDATE: I'm seeing in various TV Schedules that Great American Family is starting their *Christmas in July* event earlier than previously announced. GFAM is starting their Christmas movies THIS FRIDAY, June 28th - beginning at 8pm EST.!

Be sure to check the Christmas Movie Schedule - as I will be updating it with all the Christmas movies, as they are released!

Today is also a special day as we mark 6 months 'til Christmas Eve and tomorrow, June 25th, is National Leon Day, the halfway point to Christmas! (In case you're curious, according to Google, the Leon comes from spelling "Noel", another name for Christmas, backwards.)

So, now we are halfway there, everyone! Wow! It always seems like a long time getting here, but the entire Christmas season from Christmas in July to the movie season from October to December always seems to fly by faster than Santa's sleigh!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I'm looking forward to spending some special, quality time with my family, and on Sunday evening - we'll be watching the conclusion of When Calls the Heart's Season 11, as it wraps up with the wedding of Mike and Mei, the return of Fiona, Rosemary and Lee's offer to the betterment of Hope Valley, surprises, secrets, and more! Will there be a cliffhanger? Oh, I sure hope not, but... we'll see! I just want to say how much I have enjoyed watching this family-friendly show week after week with my family. It's rare these days to have a wholesome program that everyone can watch together, and I'm grateful we've had this relaxing, entertaining hour every week. I will definitely miss it come next Sunday, but I'm glad we'll have the Christmas movies then!

Here in the Midwest, we've been experiencing quite the heatwave, and I'm sure many of you across the U.S. and elsewhere have been/are encountering the same sizzling temps! Hopefully, Hallmark Mystery's *Merry Movie Week* and Christmas in July will put us all in a cooler state of mind. I'm sooo looking forward to catching some of my favorite Christmas movies here and there throughout the weekend. Two movies I'm especially hoping to see are Miracle in Bethlehem, PA. and A Veteran's Christmas!
