As a fun Christmas adventure for fliers, Hallmark and United Airlines have teamed up to give their passengers a 4-minute mini-movie they can watch as they literally travel - above the clouds!

I've embedded the video below to watch, unless you want to save it for your next flight.

Hallmark shared these special details regarding this mini-movie:

"‘Tis the season, and love is in the air - and the friendly skies! Celebrate the season with a mini movie from United and Hallmark. “Miles Apart” stars Hallmark fan favorite and Broadway star, Ginna Claire Mason, with a special cameo by Ginna's real-life husband, Eric - an actual United Airlines pilot!"

Kayla, who ultimately wants to get into a competitive teaching program in London, is hesitant to apply. However, when it turns out that her high school best friend Tanya (Brittany L. Smith, Sweet Magnolias) is a teacher there and she is offered the job on the spot and quickly accepts. When Kayla initially struggles to connect with her students, Jordan (Truvillion), a jack-of-all-trades teacher who is devoted to supporting underserved students, steps in to help. Though reluctant to accept his input at first, she is soon inspired to try a fresh approach to help each of her students tap into their unique artistic passions and her students begin flourishing. When Kayla learns the school may be cutting the arts department due to budget cuts, she and Jordan work together to set up a fundraising showcase, with a little help from her longtime friend Shanice Wilson-Knox. "Really loved Jonathan Stoddard in Finding Love In Big Sky Montana. Looking him up on IMDB I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw that he has over 15 (yes FIFTEEN) movies completed. A lot of these are thrillers but several are RomComs including A Royal Christmas On Ice which is apparently airing on UPtv this Christmas" - Florence

This weekend, it's a little harder to choose, but my top two movie picks are A Taste of Tuscany and Marry Go Round. How about you? Which movie (or movies) are you most wanting to see?

I also want to take a moment before ending this post to honor the historic anniversary being marked this weekend. It's hard to believe that Sunday, September 11th, marks 21 years since the tragic day of September 11, 2001. For those of us who lived through that day, I know we will never forget it. My prayers go out to those who lost loved ones, and I pray our country never goes through a time like that ever again.

My heart and prayers are also with the Royal family, on the passing of their mother and grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Beginning Friday, July 22nd, the Hallmark Channel will begin airing an extra Christmas movie in the 8am time slot every morning until the end of the month. Some of the movies added in during this time are: Snow Bride, A Christmas Carousel, My Christmas Family Tree, A Christmas Detour, On the 12th Date of Christmas and more!

Plus, the Hallmark Channel will be airing movies all night long from Saturday, July 23rd to Sunday, July 24th. Methinks they are doing this since GAC Family is currently doing the same nightly movie marathon each weekend, but who knows??? Whatever the case, it certainly is interesting, and I wanted to be certain you all were aware.

‘Wedding Of A Lifetime’ Coming to Hallmark...

Hallmark announced via Deadline a new movie project coming later this year, titled ‘Wedding Of A Lifetime,’ starring Jonathan Bennett and Brooke D’Orsay.

This is the storyline via Crown Media: "Bennett (Mean Girls) and D’Orsay play an engaged couple who have been together since their days as high school sweethearts in a close-knit mountain town, but have found themselves in a rut and out of love. As Darby and Jake prepare to break the news of their separation to their families, they inadvertently find themselves entered in a “romantic relationship competition” hosted by a popular national daytime TV show after being nominated by the whole town. The grand prize is a televised, all-expenses-paid “wedding of a lifetime!” Though Darby and Jake are uncomfortable pretending they are still engaged, they decide to continue with the show. Neither of them wants to disappoint their family and friends, and being on the show could potentially give both their careers a boost. Will the charade end with Darby and Jake coming clean and going their separate ways, or will the competition rekindle their romance?"


*My Quick Take:

Sometimes the fake boyfriend/girlfriend/fiancé storyline, etc... can be cute, but sometimes, it can be annoying, too. (in my opinion) It's a story that has been done a lot. Maybe, too much. I mean, I still love A Boyfriend for Christmas, Holiday Engagement, Surprised by Love, etc... but it would be nice to see some original plot content in these new productions. I didn't see An Unexpected Christmas, but this storyline seems to be quite similar, with two exes pretending to still be involved.

Anyway, that's one of the new films that will premiere sometime later this year on Hallmark- before the Christmas movies begin in October.

Hallmark is bringing DaySpring and Crayola to Life on Screen! 🌠 SEE HERE:

In a recent press release on April 19th, Hallmark revealed they will be working with two popular brands: Crayola, which is iconic, of course, for their colorful array of crayons and DaySpring, which is well-known for their faith inspired greeting cards and gifts.

According to their press release (see below), both brands will be working with Hallmark to bring their own unique content to the small screen.

This is not the first time, however, DaySpring has worked with Hallmark. The company has sponsored special presentation's of many of Hallmark's uplifting films in the past, such as: Just The Way You Are, The Color of Rain, Journey Back to Christmas, Christmas Town, A Godwink Christmas, Once Upon a Christmas Miracle, A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love, and more!

As many of you know, I haven't been keen on some of the movies coming from the Hallmark network these days, but I am encouraged by this news, and I would love to know your opinion on this, as well. Connor had no intention of becoming a family man, but when his goddaughter is orphaned, he adopts her and commits to becoming a devoted single dad. More than anything, Daisy wishes for a mom to complete her picture-perfect family, and no prospect is as perfect as Whitney. Tall order, but Christmas is a time for miracles.
