While there, she meets Jack (Harlow), an intriguing tour guide who opens her eyes to new possibilities as they take a journey together.
Movie Review:
💕 "Marry me in Yosemite is scenic, funny and clean (thankfully), except it gets a bit political 1 hour in. Which I'm not a fan of at all. All in all, a clean movie, except it could've been better without the liberal political approach of 'we were the evil invaders and not the other way around'. -Maria"
💕 "Marry Me in Yosemite is family friendly. Zoe Best is a photojournalist to National Park at Yosemite whose sent by her Boss back home where she works. Zoe meets Sage Miorningstar whose works at Resources when she hands Zoe some brochures by asking about Park Ranger or Tour Guide. Sage sends Zoe to her Grandfather’s store to tell him about Jake Hawkins. Zoe meets Kosimay Wilson, he nicknamed Kosi when he hands Zoe a stone to lead her all the way to find Jake.who loves classic song from Beethoven. Zoe manages to take pictures by writing the books. Zoe asks Jake to marry her without wedding guests. Jake & Zos are getting married in Yosemite." ~Anonymous
💕 "We enjoyed "Marry Me in Yosemite," mostly to get an inside view of the park. That part didn't disappoint, but Cindy Busby was so LOUD in this that it was distracting and jarring. Wish she, and her equally loud cell phone ring tone, would lower the volume quite a bit. The ending was bizarre, with her taking the one great photo of Yosemite that she was looking for the whole time - and then they never showed it to the audience!" ~Amy G

Movie Reviews:
🎠 "Marry Go Round is very sweet! And I can also recommend it because it's clean!" :) -Maria
🎠 "Marry Go Round was excellent. Just the right touch of drama and romance. Although you wanted to knock some sense into the mother. Brennan Elliott and Amanda Schull are amazing." – Melissa
🎠 "Marry Go Round... This was probably the best Hallmark film I've seen in awhile. It was family friendly. Brendan Elliott and Amanda Schull were so great together. So much chemistry between the two. Felt real. I loved the plot and how the character Luke did not want to end the marriage. It's supposed to be a lifetime commitment. When they say they love each other in the courtroom, I cried. It was so sweet. I want to see it again. I'm going to buy it on DVD when it (eventually) comes out. Watch it, it won't disappoint!😀" ~Abigail

Abby & Luke are both in Paris. Abby notices her engagement ring 💍 in champagne 🍾 glass when Luke asks Abby to marry him again." ~Anonymous
🎠 "Marry Go Round is such a sweet, family friendly movie. I truly felt the connection between Abby (Amanda Schull) and Luke (Brennan Elliott), even after all the years apart. Their chemistry felt magnetic, like they were drawn together. It was nice, also, that Abby's fiancé (Zak Santiago, Signed, Sealed, Delivered) was portrayed as a nice guy, but simply not THE guy for her. The secret from the past is deep and hurtful, but it was nice to see the unity of family and forgiveness." ~Net

Movie Reviews:
💕 "I wouldn't consider Wedding of a Lifetime family friendly. The entire premise is they have been living together during their ten year engagement and have drifted apart. I really don't know anything else because I'm not going to finish it. I miss the days when Hallmark still had engaged couples saying goodbye at the end of the night and the parents put one of them in the guest room. What's sadly how called "old fashioned." 😞 ~melnewlife
💕 Wedding of a Lifetime is family friendly with a lot of laughs when it’s hilarious & funny. They learn that the whole town has nominated the two to participate in a reality competition show for engaged couples with the grand prize It’s Reality Show: Hey Good Day Wedding of a Lifetime." ~Anonymous
💕 "Wedding in a Lifetime is so weird endings - Jake & Darby’s faux Wedding or lifetime in separate ways & although someone mentioned bridal party. Will Darby and Jake's now-faux engagement be discovered or will the competition rekindle their romance?" ~Anonymous

Movie Reviews:
✈ "Fly Away with Me was really cute and funny. It was family friendly except maybe this one part in the beginning? I was folding laundry, and not really paying attention, but I think Angie's roommate had her boyfriend spend the night. However, that relationship is never shown again, and like I said, I was distracted. Anyways, my 11 year old daughter came in after that and watched it with me. There was nothing I objected to her seeing. What's more, we had so much fun watching it together! It was so funny, we were constantly laughing, and the animals were so cute! I thought it sounded like a weird premise, but it actually worked. This one is a favorite for me." ~Melnewlife
✈ "Fly Away With Me is family friendly. Angie won a rental lottery & she moved to no pet apartment. A certainly macaw 🦜 named Gil who owned by a last tenant named Ruthie on level 15 into Angie’s apartment. Angie meets next door neighbor named Ted who dogsits his Sister’s dog names Zoe. Gil’s owner named Ruthie passed away last few months ago according to elderly lady at an elderly home. Ted’s Sister call her Brother Netherland & she tells him there’s no place for dog. Ted is now owns by his Sister’s dog named Zoe. Kyle & Gianna are out on the date. Angie is now owned macaw. So, Ted & Angie are something in common. Louie calls people with animals as such as dogs, hamsters, etc… Louie owns hamsters" 🐹 ~Anonymous
✈ "Fly Away With Me... I loved this movie! It was family friendly, funny, wonderful chemistry between the two of them and that dog was adorable! I loved how we see her bond with the bird and then you see it's a special bond between the four of them. I know, kinda cheesy, but really sweet! And I also just adored how Lewis was in on it at the end. It was a precious film and I want to buy it when it comes out on DVD. I hope we see a sequel sometime. There was a tiny problem in the beginning. Her friend's boyfriend stayed the night and you see him the next morning. I was going to fast forward it but it only lasted a couple of seconds." ~Abigail

💕 "Love’s Portrait is family friendly. There’s deaf young woman named Pamela whose who works at Lily’s museum. Lily is a museum curator discovers a painting that is the spitting image of herself & travels to Ireland to find out more about it & search of its provenance. Cara leads them to James O”Brown’s tombstone. There’s flowers in portrait are called; “Easter “Lilies”. It’s seem familiar from one of my all-time favorite movies is Somewhere in Time starring Jane Seymour & Christopher Reeve. In it, a present-day playwright is visited by an old woman who gives him a pocket watch & a cryptic message. He later becomes enamored with a Victorian-era image of a woman & learns it's the same woman who visited him previously. William did paint Lily. William’s Mother’s favorite flowers. Michelle tells Lily that William’s Lily’s soulmate. Jojo hands Lily, a bunch of Easter Lilies on front desk from a guy named William outside of the museum. Lily goes to see William in the gardens. Saoirse gives her Brother, William some advice to go after Lily to America. Believe in fate in which brought William & Lily together. Although William flew to America to be with Lily. The painting is in the new exhibit at the gallery. 1) Fate is the painting came to Lily 2) 2nd fates, 1st her sweetheart Greg but now is William Lily & William deserve to be loved.& happy. They drawn together when they first met to believe in fate of red string. Red string of fate in which it’s bring 2 people together." ~Anonymous
💕 "Love’s Portrait - The movie is good but for two people supposedly natives of Ireland they have no accents. My in-laws were immigrants and I know what the accent sounds like." ~Anonymous

Kayla & Jordan watch move called; “To Sir, With Love “." ~Anonymous
🍎 " "To Her, With Love" is a joy! Skye Marshall in the female leading role is as charismatic and warm as can be. The movie has a different feel than most - it was filmed in N. Carolina, and it has really cool jazzy background music. It is very fun, positive and heart warming. I've loved every movie I've ever seen where a high school teacher is trying to better the lives of her students - and this is another one to add to that list. Give it a try!" ~Anonymous

Using her knowledge as an antiques expert, Tess and her half-sister work to unravel the mystery of their grandmother’s “treasure” that could hold the key to saving the orchard. Movie Reviews:
💕 " "Warning! -The Secrets of Bella Vista features a homosexual couple. One of the women is butch. It's showed in photos during a baby shower and both women are the parents." ~Abigail

Francesca Quinn, PI
Starring: Mallory Jansen and Dylan Bruce
Premieres: Sunday, September 25, 2022
Storyline: When private investigator Francesca “Frankie” Quinn’s (Jansen) fiancé is murdered, his sister hires her to find the killer. Frankie must work with Wyn (Bruce), the local detective assigned to the case…who also happens to be her ex. As the one-time couple joins forces to unravel a serpentine plot, the investigation strikes at their hearts.
Movie Review:
🔎 "I watched Francesca Quinn and felt it was more of a true mystery. Had the feeling of a Hailey Dean mystery. Music was annoying though. Not sure if it’s me or TV but have been having trouble hearing some of dialog clearly. Commercials seem clear but movies sound different. I even use closed captioning sometimes. Curious if anyone else is experiencing this" ~JoCo
🔎 "Francesca Quinn PI... I was happy that this film was family friendly, but it was really depressing. Not really enjoyable to watch. There is absolutely no comedy like Aurora or Hailey Dean, which I really love in a mystery and it was also hard to follow. I do think it's one of those you have to watch more than once to fully understand. But it was clean, that was a good thing. JoCo, it wasn't just you. I noticed the sound was poorly done as well. It was hard to understand while the music played. Almost made a buzzing sound. When the main character speaks as commentary(with the music in the background) it reminded me of some Nancy Drew PC games my brother and I used to play." ~Abigail
🔎 "I thought Francesca Quinn was a welcome addition to the mystery genre and am anxious for a sequel. It is good that a mystery is complex enough that it might require multiple viewings to fully appreciate it. The characters were well done and I am cheering for Frankie and Wyn!" ~Anonymous
🔎 "I'm with Anonymous on this. I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery. I'm a big fan of both Mallory Jansen and Dylan Bruce so perhaps I was predisposed to like but I would hope that this would not affect my judgement. It wasn't a typical Hallmark thriller - it was tense and atmospheric throughout - the chemistry between the two stars was off the scale - simmering below the surface the entire movie and making the relationship between them mesmerising. I would agree with others here about the music though,it did at times overpower the action. The secondary characters all carried themselves well and I loved the relationship between Frankie and her father. This movie illustrattes how IMDb can be manipulated - it has a current rating of 6.2, however since the majority of the written reviews are awarding it 3 or less then this means that there has to be a corresponding mark at the top of the range to arrive at the overall figure. The more I read through the reviews the more suspicious I became. They all sounded eerily alike as if they were coming from the same source - most were clamouring to have Aurora, Mystery 101 etc back. This was similar to the situation with Feeling Butterflies - there were literally dozens of reviews lauding it giving it mostly 10 but as the final rating was below 6.5 for every one of these there had to be a 3 or less to balance this out. On investigating further I discovered most of these reviewers usually only also reviewed When Calls The Hearft praising Kevin McGarry and slating Chris McNally, some even going as far as digging up old movies of McNally and suddenly deciding to review and denigrate them! Speaks for itself. It's being said that it is obvious who the killer is from the start - it's hard to say anything without revealing too much but while there may be some merit to this it is not the whole story and the plot is more complex than this would suggest. There is a very interesting rumour going about that this is actually the final ending to Mystery 101 but with different characters - apparently the screenwriters are the same. I actually don't thimk this is as far-fetched as it might sound. I was a bit let down by the ending - NO KISS! - they did nothing more than hold hands - in other movies Hallmark have even had same sex couples hugging. I don't think there's any further to go with Frankie and Wyn's personal relationship but I would certainly love to see them work another case together. This is more thriller-focused and there aren't the light-hearted touches which have been a feature of many of the Hallmark Mystery franchises so I appreciate that this would not be to the taste of many in this Forum." Florence's rating - 9 (the music precludes a 10).
There seems to be some potentially interesting movies here. I'm most intrigued to see Francesca Quinn, PI (it's nice to see a mystery movie on HMM again), and Fly Away With Me (looks like a cute comedy - with animals!).
Which movie (or movies) sounds interesting to you? Please share your thoughts on the new September movies in comments below...
Note: I haven't pre-screened these movies. If you like, you can share a movie review in comments after the movie premieres. Thank you!
Francesca Quinn sounds intriguing. I do like Mallory Jansen and I think a mystery with her would be good. And any movie with Niall Matter is usually a winner.
ReplyDeleteJennifer R, Love your movie picks! We chose the same ones! Hope they both end up being good ones. :)
DeleteWhat great news to wake up to!
ReplyDeleteThe big question is just how family-friendly these will be but on paper this looks like one of the strongest Hallmark line-ups in yonks.
You can never get far away from Cindy Busby these days!
Some interesting match-ups here - I wonder how Brooke D'orsay and Jonathan Bennett will play out?
The one that I am super excited about is Francesca Quinn PI.
Mallory Jensen is one of the best additions Hallmark has had in recent years and her movies for them to date have been top notch and it's great to see Dylan Bruce back in the saddle.
The mystery looks good and hopefully they will play up the romantic angle in this one, it could even stand in it's own - Florence
What’s about Girlfriends’ Summer Getaway?
ReplyDeleteA premiere date has not been given for Girlfriends’ Summer Getaway, yet. Maybe they are waiting until October to air that one???
DeleteFall Harvest movies
DeleteMid-September to October
They will probably have this on the racist "mahogany" line of movies for HMM.
DeleteSabrina
Yeah, what I don't like is the title they give those movies. It's perfectly fine if they want to have a cast with mainly black actors, but why do we have to label it? No one would like it if they did the same for any other race. It just doesn't seem respectful to me.
DeleteI keep asking when the Alpine line of movies will be coming? They are trying way to hard to be Lifetime with the mahogany line.

Hallmark said Fall into Love starts August 1, 2022 according to Hallmark App yesterday
ReplyDeleteYes, Fall into Love starts this week. I noticed there were some people complaining about it on Facebook, and I would have to agree. It's still Summer for goodness sakes.
DeleteSure, lots of children are going back to school already, but it's not Fall, yet. Not until late September, actually. I liked it when they used to continue Summer nights after Christmas in July. For me, September and October is enough for Autumn movies. With this schedule, we'll have 3 months of Fall movies.
Net, but they arent even fall movies. they just call it Fall into love, but none of them sound fall until October. I take that back, the apple orchard movie could be fallish.
DeleteI did like when they did summer nights completely after Christmas in july. I didn't like when they started Summer nights in June. I LOVED the 1st year when they had summer villa, My summer prince and then they went into august with summer of dreams and a few others. They should start fall in mid sept.
I think this is a play on words and with this years them or Love in every theme, Loveuary, Spring into love, now Fall in Love. But there is no fall. it seems september is all weddings or marriages that fell apart.

While some of these look good, my heart sank as there is still no announcement for any of our beloved mysteries! I just don't understand Hallmark.
ReplyDeleteOut of respect to the viewers Hallmark should explain what the position is - Florence
DeleteJoyce and Florence, I don't get it, either. Why can't they continue, at least, one of the older mystery series??? It's like they've dropped them all.
DeleteBoth Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott have signed contracts with Hallmark, so why can't they create, at least, one more Crossword Mysteries to satisfy fans and complete their story.
Alison Sweeney purchased the rights to Murder She Baked and thus far, they've only created the one Hannah Swensen film. That seems very odd. What is going on?
Plus, if they could hire Alexa and Carlos to do Love in the Limelight, why couldn't they have done one more Picture Perfect Mysteries??? Their love story was left unfinished and Carlos' character had past police-work issues that were left unresolved, much like Jesse Metcalfe's character in Martha's Vineyard Mysteries.
And... of course, we all know about Mystery 101 with it's cliff hanger and the fact that both lead actors, Jill and Kris, want to do another.
All they've done this year, since March, is premiere a few new Mysteries and Dramas. Will these new mysteries continue, like Curious Caterer? Who knows???
I agree, I don't understand Hallmark's decisions regarding this, and we deserve answers.
None of this seems fall. There is no fall in any of this. Myabe the October movies will, but fall always gets pushed aside for christmas when one of the competitors moves christmas up a week and hallmark has to be first.
ReplyDeleteI dont want any new mysteries til we get Mystery 101 and Hannah get married to Mike. I havent watched any new mysteries. At least this one is not a local beautician trying to solve crimes, or a caterer.
Sabrina
Sabrina, Oddly enough, I'm not sure about any of the Hallmark Channel movies being Fall related, yet, and they are the ones that fall under the "Fall Into Love" theme.
DeleteHowever, Love's Portrait, which will premiere on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has a definite Fall look from the press photos - with gorgeous autumn leaves and chunky sweaters, so... at least, there's that.
Love’s Portrait
ReplyDeleteShanice Wilson-Knox portrayed as herself - is she a singer who goes the simply name: Shanice?
Is she a same person singer-songwriter named Shanice?
Shanice is Kayla’s longtime friend
They have to give it some sort of theme. Why not just call is romance?
ReplyDeleteSomeone mentioned apple orchard in comment that referred to Rachel Bilson & Paul Campbell’s movie called; “Dating the Delaneys“. Rachel Bilson’s character makes Apple Cake
ReplyDeleteApple Orchid was originally titled for Dating the Delaneys
To Her With Love was another ratings disaster for Hallmark with overnight figures of just 0.41m - Florence

DeleteThank you for the warning on the boyfriend situation near the beginning. Nice to know the rest is fun and family-friendly. That's so nice you and your daughter were able to enjoy it together.

Bless you!!! :)
We enjoyed "Marry Me in Yosemite," mostly to get an inside view of the park. That part didn't disappoint, but Cindy Busby was so LOUD in this that it was distracting and jarring. Wish she, and her equally loud cell phone ring tone, would lower the volume quite a bit. The ending was bizarre, with her taking the one great photo of Yosemite that she was looking for the whole time - and then they never showed it to the audience!
ReplyDeleteAmy G. Thank you for sharing this review. I wasn't in to this movie either. It was kind of slow for me. And, right, no picture was shown. That was so odd.

SLG—I thought Francesca Quinn was a welcome addition to the mystery genre and am anxious for a sequel. It is good that a mystery is complex enough that it might require multiple viewings to fully appreciate it. The characters were well done and I am cheering for Frankie and Wyn!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Anonymous on this. I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery.
DeleteI'm a big fan of both Mallory Jansen and Dylan Bruce so perhaps I was predisposed to like but I would hope that this would not affect my judgement.
This is more thriller-focused and there aren't the light-hearted touches which have been a feature of many of the Hallmark Mystery franchises so I appreciate that this would not be to the taste of many in this Forum.
Florence's rating - 9 (the music precludes a 10).
Thank you so much, Anonymous & Florence, for sharing these great reviews for Francesca Quinn!

"To Her, With Love" is a joy! Give it a try!
