Hallmark is bringing DaySpring and Crayola to Life on Screen! 🌠 SEE HERE:

In a recent press release on April 19th, Hallmark revealed they will be working with two popular brands: Crayola, which is iconic, of course, for their colorful array of crayons and DaySpring, which is well-known for their faith inspired greeting cards and gifts.

According to their press release (see below), both brands will be working with Hallmark to bring their own unique content to the small screen.

This is not the first time, however, DaySpring has worked with Hallmark. The company has sponsored special presentation's of many of Hallmark's uplifting films in the past, such as: Just The Way You Are, The Color of Rain, Journey Back to Christmas, Christmas Town, A Godwink Christmas, Once Upon a Christmas Miracle, A Godwink Christmas: Meant for Love, and more!

I am very much looking forward to seeing the uplifting films DaySpring will bring to the Hallmark network in the future!

Hallmark Press Release:

CROWN MEDIA
DEVELOPING NEW CONTENT FRANCHISES
ROOTED IN CLASSIC HALLMARK BRANDS

Programming Initiatives to Bring DaySpring
and Crayola to Life on Screen

New York, April 19, 2022 – As Crown Media gears up to debut the inaugural movies in its new Mahogany programming initiative, based on the Hallmark Card line of the same name, the company announces today the development of two new content franchises built around beloved Hallmark brands, Crayola and Dayspring. Crayola’s purpose is helping raise creatively-alive kids and Dayspring’s purpose is helping people know and share Faith in true and inspiring ways. The announcement comes as Crown Media continues to leverage the breadth and depth of Hallmark Inc. Intellectual Property (IP).

“Hallmark’s wide-ranging IP consists of some of the most iconic and beloved brands of all time offering a wealth of storytelling opportunities,” remarked Crown Media’s EVP, Programming, Lisa Hamilton Daly. “We are exploring content projects from movies and series, to short-form entertainment and podcasts.”

News and developments related to DaySpring and Crayola projects to come.

As many of you know, I haven't been keen on some of the movies coming from the Hallmark network these days, but I am encouraged by this news, and I would love to know your opinion on this, as well. I feel, if they can create faith-inspired films that may witness to even one person, then it's worth it. Please share your thoughts in comments below.

In honor of this Hallmark collaboration with DaySpring, I've included some of my favorite DaySpring inspirational gifts and cards below...

  1. Hmm - it's like Hallmark is sending out mixed messages - Florence

  2. Not sure what to think of this, really. However, if they can reach 1 person like you said Net, then it's a good thing. Someone might watch Hallmark that wouldn't a religious channel.

  3. This is great news! Now I'll know which movies I'll feel comfortable wtching on Hallmark, at least.

By the way, thanks for including the Dayspring products. I'm ordering the Mothers day card and the Be still & trust God pillow for my mom.

  4. Net, this is encouraging for sure! We will take our blessings wherever we find them. The movies you mentioned were all good movies. We need to pray Hallmark will find the right path again.

  5. As nice as this looks, I'm not very encouraged by this given how this looks an awful lot like mixed messaging. -Maria

I think it's good news, first positive thing Hallmark has said in quite a while. I still hope they continue with mysteries though. The only reason I got HMM to start with. We will think positive and send up some prayers that Hallmark will not go completely "woke"! Thanks for keeping us in the loop Net!!

  7. I'm worried. Honestly, with Candace Cameron Bure and so many other Hallmark stars leaving for GAC it seems as if both brands may be diluted and wither. I truly hope GAC does well, but I haven't been impressed by their offerings so far. Blessings, Donna

    1. I think you have a very good point here, Donna.

I've quite enjoyed GAC without being bowled over by quite a few of their movies but it's difficult for a new player breaking into the market and I think they need some time to find their feet.

It's hard to understand why they are holding back on airing the new movies they have in the bag.

Hallmark seemed to have a new treasure in Tyler Hynes but they've wasted him in his last couple of movies.

Similarly, Andrew Walker, awesome as My Family Christmas Tree was, he was sorta sidelined in it.

None of the newer actors which Hallmark have been using recently seem to have struck a chord with the viewers - Florence

  8. Hallmark has NOT been the same for me. I was always excited to see what new movies where going to show for the weekend and now....Ugh, I don't even set my dvr to record. As soon as I read todays article for the network that was exactly what I thought it's about the colorful flag, AGAIN πŸ™„
