The Show just started and host Mark Steines first announced they will have a Surprise Guest later on to announce the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Christmas Movies!

They are still introducing all the guests for today's 2 Hour Show...

They just went to commercial! I thought they would save it for later in the show, but Mark just said... the Christmas Announcement for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Christmas Movies is NEXT!!!

They announce 3 New Movies for HMM: Murder She Baked - A Plum Pudding Mystery, The Christmas Note, and The Magic Stocking!

They didn't mention Karen Kingsbury's The Bridge ???

Update #6 at 10:17am/9:17c.:

Today's surprise guest is finally introduced...
CAMERON MATHISON (excellent choice, by the way!) who stars in Murder She Baked - A Plum Pudding Mystery! They showed a clip from his movie, which includes Cameron with actress Alison Sweeney, and her cat! I'm excited to see Murder She Baked  return... this one looks delicious!!!

Cristina shares that actress Jamie Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) will star in The Christmas Note. 

 

Mark announces the Yule Log will return to HMM on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, featuring Happy the Dog and Happy the Cat!

 

Cameron shares that all of our old favorites will be returning, too!

 

No extra news or clips are shared for The Christmas Note or The Magic Stocking.

 

Plus, once again.. they didn't mention Karen Kingsbury's The Bridge ???

That's it!!! Segment finishes with them giving the premiere date for Murder She Baked - A Plum Pudding Mystery - November 22 at 9pm/8c. on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries... and of course, they remind viewers... the Christmas Movies begin 24/7 on October 31st!

Danica McKellar reveals Hallmark Channel's "Countdown to Christmas" movie lineup!

*Update #6 at 10:12 AM/9:12c.: They just went to commercial saying a special guest and big announcement is next!!! Here comes the CHRISTMAS MOVIE NEWS!!!

*Update #7 at 10:15 AM/9:15c.: Actress Danica McKellar has now been introduced.

They showed an extended version of the Commercial with Bing Crosby singing in the background.

1.) First movie they discuss is Danica McKellar's movie Crown for Christmas! They show a clip!

2.) Second, they talk about Candace Cameron Bure's new Christmas Movie: Christmas Detour. Danica shares that she is good friends with Candace and Paul Greene, who is also starring in the movie and co-starred with Danica in Perfect Match.

3.) Third, they show a clip of Northpole: Open for Christmas with Lori Loughlin and Dermot Mulroney. Bailee Madison also stars in this movie, but is not featured in the clip.

4.) Next, they share news on Debbie Macomber's Dashing Through the Snow movie starring Meghan Ory and for the first time, we learn her co-star, Andrew Walker.

5.) Then, they announce singer Mariah Carey's new Christmas movie project, Melody & Mistletoe, in which she will be singing.

That's it! Mark announces there will be more stars coming in the Hallmark Christmas Movies, including: William Shatner, Christopher Lloyd, Brenda Strong, Sarah Lancaster, and Alicia Witt!

And, the countdown (as we all know!) begins October 31st!

Most Wonderful Movies of Christmas to be announced on Hallmark's Home & Family!

 

On September 16th, the Hallmark Channel morning lifestyle show Home & Family will announce the Christmas movies coming to the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. So, this means HMM will get a whole day all to itself, Wednesday, on Home & Family!

There's a new commercial promoting this event, with the Home & Family hosts Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare:

This should be exciting to see this special Christmas movie announcement for the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel, as well. I'm amazed they will be getting their own special day on Home & Family! For now, we will have to wonder who the guests will be!!!

THE WALTONS Cast Members Reunite on Hallmark Channel's "Home and Family"!

It's a Reunion of The Waltons... as cast members Michael Learned (Olivia), Richard Thomas (John Boy), Judy Norton (Mary Ellen), Mary McDonough (Erin), and Kami Cotler (Elizabeth) from this popular family drama series are welcomed into the "Home and Family" home for a heartwarming visit, to reminisce and share memories on Monday, August 3, 2015 @10 AM/9c. on the Hallmark Channel.

"The reunion includes Thomas baking a pie with “Home & Family” host Cristina Ferrare, Norton singing a song as tribute to the “Waltons” actors who have passed away and Cotler demonstrating a “Waltons”-era do-it-yourself craft.

Learned will also take viewers on a tour of the theater founded by Will Geer (Grandpa Walton) — the Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga, Calif. — with Debbie Matenopoulos. The reunion’s opening and closing segments will be narrated by “The Waltons” creator and narrator, Earl Hamner, now 92 years old."

My thoughts...
As a long-time devoted fan of this well-loved series, I am delighted to see these 5 Walton family members come together for this special get together of sharing memories. The Home & Family show is also wonderful about emphasizing and recreating special moments from the shows they highlight - so I look forward to seeing how they give tribute to The Waltons! It would be wonderful to see them all around the dinner table, again... but, I can almost guarantee it will end with everyone saying "Goodnight"!
