Encore Air Times for God Bless the Broken Road:
~Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 10:03 PM
~Monday, April 25, 2022 at 2:04 AM

On Sunday, Lifetime will air God Bless the Broken Road (first premiered in theaters in 2018) starring Lindsay Pulsipher and Andrew Walker. Since I haven't seen this movie, I checked out some of the reviews at Amazon for this Dove Approved movie and they are a bit mixed. Most say the movie has a good message, but it's a little slow moving, which is rather ironic since the movie is about auto racing. If you've seen God Bless the Broken Road, I'd love to hear your thoughts in comments below. I've always been intrigued that Andrew Walker (Bottled with Love, My Christmas Family Tree, etc...) also stars in the film as a race car driver.

Side note: By the way, speaking of Andrew Walker, he just recently joined several other Hallmark stars (including Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott), in signing a multi-picture deal with Hallmark.

God Bless the Broken Road storyline: "Amber's (Lindsay Pulsipher) ideal life is shattered when she loses her husband to the war in Afghanistan. Two years later, she finds herself in a struggle to save her home while providing for her 9-year-old daughter, Bree (Makenzie Moss). When up-and-coming race car driver Cody Jackson (Andrew W. Walker) rolls into town, Amber and Bree become wrapped up in his pedal to the metal way of life. With her faith hanging in the balance, Amber is forced to decide between the broken road she knows so well or trusting in a new path that God has provided."

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

I pray you all have a very Happy and Joyous Easter! I'm so grateful Jesus overcame death on the cross, so those of us who trust in Him can also overcome death and one day live with Him in Heaven for all eternity. If you've never asked Jesus in your heart, and you would like to do so, please see the prayer of salvation below. Jesus can be your Savior today!

Recently, Candace Cameron Bure invited Danica McKellar to join her at her church for their annual Easter Passion Play; Candace also gifted her with one of her DaySpring One Step Closer Bibles and Danica shared in an Instagram story, “I will tell you, I have not had much of a Bible education in my life, a little bit here and there, but it’s not part of how I was raised,” she said. “I’m looking forward to learning more about it because Candice is a really awesome person and she’s got her own notes and things in here to kind of guide you through. Since I don’t know a lot about it, I’m looking forward to using it in that way. So thank you, Candice.” What a blessing to see Candace sharing her faith! It has truly blessed me and encouraged me to keep on doing the same.

May the joy of the Easter promise fill us up to overflowing and flow out of us this Easter!

Happy Resurrection Sunday!
God's Blessings to You All! Net

Prayer of Salvation:

Right now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God in prayer.

If you believe Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sin, you will also need to admit you are a sinner – as we all are. Romans 3:23 (KJV) says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." If you have never confessed your sin and belief in Christ, take time to do it right now. Say these words out loud to God and believe them in your heart:

"Oh God, I know I am a sinner.

I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross.

I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me.

I now receive Jesus as my Savior.

I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins,

the gift of salvation and everlasting life,

because of Your merciful grace.

In Jesus name, I pray...

Amen."

Believe, and you will be saved.

God does the saving. All of it!

Share the Good News with others!

God bless you, my dear Brother or Sister in the Lord!

Happy Easter!

In Remembrance: Saying Goodnight to lovely Ronnie Claire Edwards, best known as Corabeth Godsey of 'The Waltons'

This week, on Wednesday June 14, 2016, we sadly lost another member of 'The Waltons' family... the lovely, effervescent Ronnie Claire Edwards, who will always be remembered in our hearts as the eccentric, unconventional, unique character Corabeth Walton Godsey on the family television drama series 'The Waltons'.

Ronnie Claire Edwards was Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 9, 1933. According to tcm.com, "She studied drama at the University of Oklahoma before going on to Broadway. After her screen debut in the 1963 film "All the Way Home," she returned to the stage until '74. That year, Edwards joined the cast of the award-winning family drama series "The Waltons".

Throughout Ronnie's acting career she appeared in various television series, including "Dynasty," "Falcon Crest," "Dallas," "The Torkelsons," "Murder, She Wrote," "Designing Women," and more! She is, however, most remembered from her role on 'The Waltons', from 1975 to June 1981, in which she appeared in over 100 episodes! Created by Earl Hamner, Jr., the show also returned for 6 reunion movies, the last one 'A Walton Easter', airing in 1998.

During the course of 'The Waltons' television show, cousin Corabeth Walton, blossomed from a shy sheltered single young woman, to a stylish, classy, vivacious, confident married woman to Ike Godsey, who owned the general store on Walton's mountain.

image via: pinstopin

After Ike and Corabeth married on the show, they became co-proprietors and staples behind the counter of the general store, waiting on members of the Walton family and surrounding neighbors.

Ike and Corabeth also adopted a daughter, Aimee, in the series who befriended Elizabeth, the youngest of 'The Waltons' children.

The character of Corabeth Walton Godsey was full of personality, a regular noisy busybody and meddler, who always had an opinion on everything! She was one of those characters you loved to watch because she typically added a lighthearted, comical performance to the series and Ronnie portrayed her perfectly! Sure, Corabeth could be a bit overbearing and particular, at times, but in truth it was evident she adored Ike, Aimee, their little country store, and the Walton family. Ronnie Claire Edwards played the role of Corabeth Walton Godsey, not only with profound flamboyance, but with grace, humility, and love.

And, now with love, we say "Goodnight" to another member of 'The Waltons'. Our hearts and prayers go out to Ronnie Claire Edward's dear family, friends, and Waltons cast members.

We will always cherish the character of Corabeth Godsey Walton, and we are grateful for the joy Ronnie has brought and will continue to bring into our homes each time we watch an episode of 'The Waltons' with her in it.

With our hearts full of gratitude and love -
we say "Goodnight" Ronnie Claire Edwards...

Easter TV Specials 2014

This year there will be a lot of Easter Specials on TV!

ABC will have their annual airing of the movie The Ten Commandments the Saturday evening before Easter, with Charlton Heston as Moses. I am in awe every time I watch it and see the water part. On Easter night, ABC will have the Peanuts Gang in "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown".

The network UP has two weeks of Religious Themed Movies in their Greatest Stories of the Bible Series, including The Passion of the Christ. For me, it is one of the most meaningful movies of the crucifixion. I love that we get to see a Jesus as a Baby, a young Boy, and as a Man... as He preaches and teaches, leads His disciples, is crucified on the cross, and then, as He is raised from the dead three days later. (Please note: due to violence, this movie is not suitable for young children.)

The Hallmark Channel and INSP will show special Easter Episodes of "The Waltons".

TBN will also have Religious Themed Easter Movies.

ABC Family will have the adorable Easter Bunny themed movie HOP.

Disney will have Easter Cartoons.

TCM will have Religious Themed Easter Movies and be sure to get out your Easter Bonnet and Dancing Shoes... for the classic Easter Movie, Easter Parade, with Judy Garland and Fred Astaire!

Be sure to visit the Family TV Schedule for times airing for these Easter Specials and More!

Have a Blessed Easter, Everyone!

PLOT:

A Walton Easter is the last Movie in this Box Set of Six Reunion Movies. The setting for this Movie is 1969, and the family is all gathering back home on the Mountain in West Virginia to celebrate Easter and John and Olivia’s 40th wedding anniversary.

John-Boy, has become a television reporter, Jason, a successful musician and song-writer, Mary Ellen, a Doctor, Ben, works at Walton's Mill with John, Erin, a Principal, Jim Bob, works in Aviation with Yancy Tucker, and Elizabeth has become the world traveler.

When John Boy returns home, he brings along his wife Janet, who is expecting their first child any day and a reporter/photographer from Life Magazine, who is doing an article on John Walton, Jr - and his upcoming novel. Being home and writing again, gives John Boy the longing to return home and raise his children there as he was raised.

At the same time, Elizabeth returns home from her world travels, and announces to everyone that she has come home to “settle down.” However, just because she is ready to put down roots, doesn't mean that Drew is ready, too. He has found another girlfriend, yet, it is obvious that he still cares for Elizabeth. What will she do? What will he do?

Are Elizabeth and Drew destined to be together? Will John-Boy stay on the mountain, finish his novel, and raise his children there?

There's a lovely scene at the end where they attend an outdoor Easter Service. Everyone is so country and lovely in their Easter Sunday hats, suits, and dresses.

As of now, A Walton Easter was the last movie in The Waltons Reunion Movie Series.

(*By the Way... to the producers & creators of The Waltons Series... if it were ever possible for you to do one more Reunion Show - could you please make this one based at Christmastime... I know many fans would love to see the show end where it began with The Homecoming: A Christmas Story movie.)

Movie Review:

A Walton Easter is absolutely wonderful from the very first moment when you hear that familiar Walton's theme song. It's like returning home again in the embrace of your family. It's so precious to see so many warm and familiar faces of The Waltons Cast.

I love how they integrate everyone's stories together and how, after all these years, they still feel so real!

It's a beautiful story and one that will warm your hearts. The Waltons Movie Reunion Collection is definitely a family friendly series that you can enjoy with your family... old and young alike.

Come Home, Again!
