Encore Air Times for God Bless the Broken Road:
~Sunday, April 24, 2022 at 10:03 PM
~Monday, April 25, 2022 at 2:04 AM

On Sunday, Lifetime will air God Bless the Broken Road (first premiered in theaters in 2018) starring Lindsay Pulsipher and Andrew Walker. Since I haven't seen this movie, I checked out some of the reviews at Amazon for this Dove Approved movie and they are a bit mixed. Most say the movie has a good message, but it's a little slow moving, which is rather ironic since the movie is about auto racing. If you've seen God Bless the Broken Road, I'd love to hear your thoughts in comments below. I've always been intrigued that Andrew Walker (Bottled with Love, My Christmas Family Tree, etc...) also stars in the film as a race car driver.

Side note: By the way, speaking of Andrew Walker, he just recently joined several other Hallmark stars (including Lacey Chabert and Brennan Elliott), in signing a multi-picture deal with Hallmark.

God Bless the Broken Road storyline: "Amber's (Lindsay Pulsipher) ideal life is shattered when she loses her husband to the war in Afghanistan. Two years later, she finds herself in a struggle to save her home while providing for her 9-year-old daughter, Bree (Makenzie Moss). When up-and-coming race car driver Cody Jackson (Andrew W. Walker) rolls into town, Amber and Bree become wrapped up in his pedal to the metal way of life. With her faith hanging in the balance, Amber is forced to decide between the broken road she knows so well or trusting in a new path that God has provided."

🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

I pray you all have a very Happy and Joyous Easter! I'm so grateful Jesus overcame death on the cross, so those of us who trust in Him can also overcome death and one day live with Him in Heaven for all eternity. If you've never asked Jesus in your heart, and you would like to do so, please see the prayer of salvation below. Jesus can be your Savior today!

Recently, Candace Cameron Bure invited Danica McKellar to join her at her church for their annual Easter Passion Play; Candace also gifted her with one of her DaySpring One Step Closer Bibles and Danica shared in an Instagram story, “I will tell you, I have not had much of a Bible education in my life, a little bit here and there, but it’s not part of how I was raised,” she said. “I’m looking forward to learning more about it because Candice is a really awesome person and she’s got her own notes and things in here to kind of guide you through. Since I don’t know a lot about it, I’m looking forward to using it in that way. So thank you, Candice.” What a blessing to see Candace sharing her faith! It has truly blessed me and encouraged me to keep on doing the same.

May the joy of the Easter promise fill us up to overflowing and flow out of us this Easter!

Happy Resurrection Sunday!
God's Blessings to You All! Net

Prayer of Salvation:

Right now, wherever you are, repenting, lift your heart to God in prayer.

If you believe Jesus died on the cross to save you from your sin, you will also need to admit you are a sinner – as we all are. Romans 3:23 (KJV) says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." If you have never confessed your sin and belief in Christ, take time to do it right now. Say these words out loud to God and believe them in your heart:

"Oh God, I know I am a sinner.

I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross.

I believe His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me.

I now receive Jesus as my Savior.

I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins,

the gift of salvation and everlasting life,

because of Your merciful grace.

In Jesus name, I pray...

Amen."

Believe, and you will be saved.

God does the saving. All of it!

Share the Good News with others!

God bless you, my dear Brother or Sister in the Lord!

Happy Easter!

  3. Net, what a blessing you are!

Last night, instead of watching The Ten Commandments, I watched a Passover celebration on TBN. I had so many questions about the Seder. A Jewish Rabbi who is now a Christian convert, was presiding, along with a Christian pastor. There is no way to describe the blessings I received from this. All my life I have heard the Bible taught and yet, I learned so much last night. I never realized how The Old Testament and New Testament are so tightly woven. I'm sure God led me to TBN because I did not know beforehand that it was on.

    2. Net, the praying bunny was a hit! His mom sent a video of him opening it and then playing with it. He also loved the book that was part of the package. He is blessed with two wonderful parents! Our family is blessed in so many ways!

  4. How interesting that Hallmark changed their Easter Sunday schedule last minute. I wonder if it was due to complaints about them airing that new movie (which I won't bother mentioning by name) on Easter? I think they knew it would drive away WCTH fans if they aired it before the latest WCTH premiere. A WCTH marathon makes good sense for Easter Sunday and family viewing. Whoever made that decision, needs to take over and make more of them!

Happy Easter Net and everyone here!

    1. Allie B. Happy Easter to you, as well! Thank you for your comment. Well said! I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the Hallmark Ch. changed their schedule for Sunday. I think that was a much better decision for Easter Sunday. It does seem that they are aware that some of their usual audience will not be welcoming this new woke content.

    1. Yeah, they don't air "It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown" on TV any more. It is cute, and I'm glad I have it on DVD, but I've always wished Charles Shultz had done a religious version as they did for Christmas.

  6. I bought the DVD of God Bless The Broken Road a long time back. Andrew Walker was good in this but something was missing in this movie. It isn't one I want to watch again, but I do not like car racing either.

Wanted to comment on Candace and Danica. Net, I know you read Movie Guide too, and I was so impressed by Candace sending Danica one of her bibles last year. When I read that Danica did not grow up in a Christian home, I was truly surprised. Danica appears to be so sweet and kind. Happy to see Candace reaching out like this. Then Candace invited Danica to their Passion Play, and Danica seemed to appreciate it.

    1. kitkat, Thank you for sharing your thoughts on "God Bless The Broken Road." I trust your opinion and your response sounds a lot like the reviews I read on Amazon. That's too bad, but it was nice to know that Andrew Walker starred in a faith-based film, regardless. I may try to catch it sometime, but not on Easter.

Also, good to hear how much Candace and Danica's going to church together touched you. I, too, pray Danica's heart will be open to receiving.

  10. Wow! What good news! How wonderful that Danica is interested to know more. I'll be praying for her to accept Christ as her Savior. Wouldn't it be terrific if she became our sister in Christ! Please keep us updated. Praise God!!

I just watched Easter Under Wraps on the Hallmark Streaming website and loved it. The chemistry between them was terrific and it had so many sweet characters. Ate a bar of chocolate with it. The only thing that made me sad was no mention of Christ. Which is what Easter is all about.

Hope everyone here has a Happy Easter. Love to you all❤

    1. Abigail, Thank you so much for your joyful Easter comment! I can always sense your uplifting, joyful spirit shining through.

I was also delighted to see Danica join Candace at church. Hopefully, this will encourage her in her faith. Wonderful to see Candace planting this seed!

Also, yes "Easter Under Wraps" is precious! Such a delightful movie. I, too, wish they could have had something in it about the real meaning of Easter or at least, they could have shown them going to church. That would have been very nice. Anyway, that was so ideal of you to enjoy some chocolate as you watched this sweet movie about candy!

I hope you and your peeps (couldn't resist the candy reference!) have a lovely, Happy Easter!!! God's blessings!!! :)

  11. Spent tonight watching Full House reruns that I recorded 2 weeks ago on GAC, I'm real happy!

BTW, A Hallmark fan that I know of (who doesn't act nice when it comes to anything about GAC), says that Paul Campball made a cameo in 'Classified', and I just rolled my eyes and thought 'why am I not surprised?'. He's the most accepting of Hallmark's agenda, so why wouldn't he make an appearance?

Also, it definitely sounds like that movie was as trashy as it looked. Hopefully, it got bashed hard around social media, and it shows in the ratings. -Maria

Have any of you seen Same Page on KIA car commercials? The robot dog in the passenger seat is so cute. I've seen three so far.

  13. Where to Watch The Passion of the Christ and The Ten Commandments This Easter and Passover
Plus: Where to watch Hop, the Easter movie for kids

It's Easter time, which means that between dyeing eggs, glazing ham, and finding a bunny to adopt, you may also be looking to watch Mel Gibson's bloody epic about Jesus Christ, The Passion of the Christ. Or perhaps you'd like to watch the extravagant religious classic The Ten Commandments during Passover. That means you're probably wondering where you can stream The Ten Commandments and find The Passion of the Christ online. The good news is that both are streaming so you can start watching them with just a few clicks. The bad news — for one — is that you may have to pay a little money.

ABC traditionally airs The Ten Commandments on the Saturday before Easter, but this year, the network aired The Ten Commandments a week early on April 9, meaning if you didn't DVR it, you'll probably need to stream it

Here's where to The Passion of the Christ and The Ten Commandments(and for the kiddos, where to watch the animated Easter film Hop).

The Passion of the Christ (2004)

Mel Gibson's controversial 2004 film about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (Jim Caviezel) was a polarizing movie that left many in awe of the religious experience or aghast at the brutality and violence. The film covers the 12 hours leading up to Jesus' death, but also peers back on Jesus' life through flashbacks to The Last Supper and other well-known Biblical events. The film received three Academy Award nominations for Best Makeup, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score. Maia Morgenstern, Monica Belluci, and Sergio Rubini also starred.

The Passion of the Christ is readily available to stream. It's included with an Amazon Prime Video subscription for an ad-free, uninterrupted experience, or it can be watched via Tubi or The Roku Channel for free, but with ads. Click the links below to start watching.

    The Ten Commandments (1956)

Cecil B. DeMille's 1956 film The Ten Commandments is considered THEreligious movie, a 220-minute epic following Moses (Charlton Heston in his greatest role) as he leads the enslaved Hebrews on an exodus to Mount Sinai, where he receives the legendary Ten Commandments from God. The film was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, winning one for Best Visual Effects. Yul Brynner, Anne Baxter, and Edward G. Robinson also starred.

The Ten Commandments is not streaming on any subscription service, but it is available for rent and purchase on Amazon Prime Video. But don't worry, it won't cost you much. As of this writing, the standard version and the extended version in 4k are available for just $3 to rent and $4 to purchase, and cheaper if you are an Amazon Prime Video member. Click the links below to start watching.

    Hop (2011)

There aren't a ton of Easter movies out there for kids (Christmas seems to get them all), but there is one that is sure to delight the young 'uns. The 2011 film Hop stars James Marsden as a man who literally runs into a young rabbit named E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand). E.B. is supposed to be the next Easter Bunny, but has other aspirations. Together, they have to save Easter and E.B.'s father from a potential coup by the Easter Bunny's second-in-command, Carlos the Chick.

Hop is easy to stream, as it's included with your Netflix subscription.
