  5. I believe this is Candice's first stab at a mystery movie and i'm looking forward on how her acting abilities arise for this challenge...I'd love to see her is a real suspence type acting roll, seeing as her character is trying to solve a murder maybe someone will try to eliminate her by tampering with her brakes...wonder how she would play out that scenario!

    1. I know she did a few "Movie of the Weeks" after "Full House" and one was a mystery... a pretty dark story where she played an abused girlfriend, who was eventually killed by her boyfriend, played by Fred Savage (Kevin, of "Wonder Years". That movie is very intense.... and even though I liked all the people in it... it is a very sad story, in the end. It was made to warn young couples of the dangers of staying in an abusive relationship. Candace is definitely different in this role, than any other I've seen her in.

    2. The tv movie with Fred Savage is called No One Would Tell, sadly it was based on true events.

    3. Yes, that's the one! I remember watching it back when it first aired, and even though I knew both a Candace & Fred's acting so well, from "Full House" and "Wonder Years", I was amazed and a little shocked how different they were in this movie, especially Fred Savage, who portrays a very obsessive evil character.

By the way, I have seen it replay on Lifetime, for anyone who is interested.

  6. LOVED A Bone to Pick, the chemistry between the whole cast was great, I especially loved the chemistry between Lexa Doig (Sally) and Candace, loved the "oh man she's at it again...I can't believe she's doing this" look on Sally's face sometimes. This movie will be on my DVR for a while, can't wait for the second movie this Summer.

    1. Likewise, Jill! I loved the "Aurora" movie, too! It was such a refreshing, different role for Candace Cameron Bure! You are so right.... Her friend Sally, and let me add in Sally's uncle - were excellent cast extras.! I do hope they will both return in upcoming "Aurora" movies!

  7. would love to know who played the very pregnant detective

    1. The role of the pregnant detective Lynn Liggett was portrayed by actress Miranda Frigon. You may recognize her from the TV series Heartland, where she portrayed Tim's girlfriend, or maybe from the Hallmark Christmas movie,"A Cookie Cutter Christmas", where she played the rival teacher.

Subsequently, I do know Miranda will be returning, as Lynn, for the next "Aurora Teagarden" mystery!

  8. According to Hallmark the second film in the series, Aurora Teagarden : Real Murders Club premieres on Sunday July 26 9:00 PM / 8:00c.

  9. Lexa Doig as her friend Sally was a scene stealer. It would be interesting to see if they can find her own Hallmark movie to have her star in. She has the look of a Christmas movie lead.

  10. I do not particularly like the movies. In REAL MURDERS the murders have been changed AND CHARACTERS ARE DIFFERENT. Aurora's character is alo different, Candace does not take on any of the book characters Aurora's look. Her boyfriend relationships are out of order. Many differences.
