I loved how the first movie included faith so beautifully and heartwarming moments that reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas! I'm so excited to see Natalie and Wes' story continue and discover what new blessings and answered prayers await us in Bellford Falls.

NEW YORK, NY – June 17, 2026 – Great American Media today announced the start of production on A Christmas Prayer 2, starring Shae Robins (A Christmas Prayer, Destined at Christmas) and Christopher Russell (A Christmas Prayer, “When Hope Calls: Brookfield”), an Original film from the company’s film banner, The Golden Thread. The highly anticipated sequel to the 2026 Movieguide® Epiphany Prize® winning Original Movie, A Christmas Prayer, is now in production with a World Premiere date slated to be part of Great American Media’s beloved Great American Christmas programming event beginning in October.

Returning to Bellford Falls is Natalie Sands (Robins), the children’s book illustrator whose faith-filled acts of kindness transformed her community, and Wes Thornton (Russell), whose journey of faith and love captured the hearts of viewers. The sequel reunites audiences with the beloved characters whose story inspired viewers to embrace the true meaning of Christmas through faith, service, and compassion.

In A Christmas Prayer 2, Natalie prepares for the launch of her debut children’s book, Adeline the Angel, while Wes continues to deepen his faith journey. When Caroline (Madeline Cox) quietly begins a mission to answer the prayers and needs of those around her community, the family discovers that some of God’s greatest works are accomplished through simple acts of kindness. In addition to it being just 8 months until Christmas Day, we’re now around 6 months away from the start of the Christmas movie season!

Saturday, April 25th, is that special time again… to “Mark the 25th” day of the month with a cozy Christmas movie! If you're planning to join in, I'd love to know which movie you are choosing. It can be a new movie, a classic movie, something you love, or something you've never seen. Please share your Christmas movie pick in comments below. (And the Christmas movies airing Friday night can count, too!)

I decided my “Mark the 25th” choice will be the classic Hallmark Channel movie, A Boyfriend for Christmas, starring Kelli Williams and Patrick Muldoon. I chose this movie in honor of the recent, sudden passing of Patrick Muldoon, which is still so hard to believe, and because this movie has always held a special place in my heart.

A Boyfriend for Christmas premiered in 2004, when there were only about 3 or 4 new Christmas premieres on the Hallmark Channel during the holiday season, so each movie was truly special. It felt like everyone who loves Christmas was marking their calendar, too, and watching with you. Streaming wasn't available then, so ratings were much higher. And this movie did not disappoint - it was funny, festive, family-friendly, and yes, there's a fake-boyfriend, Douglas Firwood, who Patrick Muldoon portrays perfectly! I've probably seen this movie hundreds of times since, and it never disappoints - it always puts a smile on my face!

I have many favorite lines from the movie, but here are two I especially love:

Ryan Hughes (AKA Douglas Firwood): I may be difficult to exchange without a receipt.

Holly Grant: That's okay, I think I'll keep you!

The new episode of When Hope Calls: Brookfield is one you'll definitely want to *catch*! The new pastor teaches the children to play baseball, and Mountie Michael appears to be a little jealous of the new minister spending extra time with Nora.

Also, I sure hope we will all enjoy Tyler Hynes’ new movie, I'll Be Seeing You, premiering this weekend!

Hopefully, some of you have also had the chance to see the touching videos Tyler recently shared on Instagram. If not, I've included them below. It has been so heartwarming to see the genuine respect and admiration Tyler shows for the legendary Christine Ebersole, who portrays a grandmother in his new movie. They also previously worked together on Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, and it was Tyler's wish for them to reunite on screen again!

What a wonderfully talented and accomplished actress Christine Ebersole is! Her acting credits (as seen on IMDb) date back to the 1970s, and she has appeared in countless films, television movies, and series over the years. And my goodness... what a spectacular singing voice she has, too! I’m so glad these two were able to work together again on this movie and, hopefully, many more!

Also, Hallmark hasn't officially announced, yet, but in case you haven't heard, earlier this month Tyler Hynes filmed a new Christmas movie for Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas 2026 with Laci J. Mailey (Chesapeake Shores, A Little Park Music) titled The Christmas Loop. In this new holiday movie, Tyler Hynes plays a character trapped in a Christmas Eve loop who falls for a woman. 🎬 Where the Wind Blows - Warning: You all know how much I love Trevor Donovan, but I have to warn you about this movie (Where the Wind Blows). I saw it a couple months ago and I was shocked how much needed to be skipped. It was very sexual. I won’t mention the scene for the sake of sparring you, but I would advise you to pass on this one. This is not a Christian film despite what they say. I was saddened and disgusted. Sorry, that was difficult for me to write, especially about Trevor, but I felt the need to tell you the truth. Oh, I hope you all have such a lovely Easter weekend!

In addition to it being Easter, which is such a deeply meaningful time for all of us Christians, Good Friday is also my birthday, so I'll be celebrating both Easter and my birthday with my precious family. And I know some of you dear friends, who visit here, have family & friends celebrating, too... so a very Happy Birthday to all of them, too!

Easter is such a beautiful reminder of God’s incredible love... shown through His incredible sacrifice. When we turn to Him, we can find forgiveness, freedom, and the promise of eternal life. And if you feel it on your heart, I've included a prayer below if you'd like to invite Jesus into your life.

I've been asked many times if there is a way to watch Season 2 of "When Hope Calls" before Season 3 begins, so in case you haven't seen my response, I thought I would share the answer here.

Unfortunately, Season 2 of "When Hope Calls" will not air on Great American Family before Season 3 airs, but there are other options... keep reading!

How to see "When Hope Calls" season 2:

1.) *The best and easiest option is to stream through Great American Pure Flix. You can see details directly on their website or through Amazon. (Both are paid subscriptions.)

The popular streaming source, known for it's faith based films and series, is currently offering a wonderful discount of $2.99 per month for 2 months. That is an awesome low price, and in addition to seeing Season 2, you'll get to watch each episode of Season 3 early - in April and May!

2.) *Another great option for watching season 2 is through Great American Faith & Living! This channel will have a marathon of the Season 2 episodes encoring on Easter Sunday from 6am EST to 8pm EST. (The new episode for season 3 airs at 8pm EST.)

Episode 1 - Gratitude: As Brookfield begins to recover from the cattle raids, the Mounties (Christopher Russell, Trevor Donovan) close in on the true mastermind while Tess (Wendy Crewson) is captured by wounded outlaw Jerry Huntsman (Jesse Hutch), who admits his role in the crimes. Episode 2 - Dreams: Nora's relationship with Michael Fletcher is tested; Hannah notices Wyatt and Lucie growing closer; Sam weighs his professional options.

Nora struggles with unresolved feelings for Michael (Russell), Ronnie (Crone) chases risky funding, Maggie (Talbot) cautiously explores romance, Hannah (Fisher) prepares for a critical moment in her fashion journey, and Brookfield celebrates new beginnings as Debbie (Teresa) opens her bakery, creating a long-awaited gathering place for the town.


Episode 3 - Justice: Vocational Day at the orphanage turns into a lesson in honesty when the children hide which one of them broke the sewing machine. Meanwhile, Hannah (Fisher) anxiously awaits the arrival of her powerful New York investor (Jillian Murray), and a dangerous stagecoach robbery sparks a major criminal investigation.


Episode 4 - Curveball: The robbery investigation intensifies as Reynolds (Trevor Donovan) questions Justine about her stolen ring, while tension grows between Wyatt (Nick Bateman) and Hannah (Sarah Fisher) as her career pulls her in a new direction. Across Brookfield, Wally grieves his father, Sam (Jon McLaren) struggles with change, and many relationships, including Nora’s (Cindy Busby) and Michael (Christopher Russell) are tested through moments of vulnerability and emotional growth.


Episode 5 - Salvation: A smooth-talking cattle buyer pressures Hannah (Sarah Fisher) to sell her ranch. All the while, Hannah is pushed to the point of exhaustion trying to perfect her fashion brand. As the town plans a new community hall, Sam (Jon McLaren) gains confidence as a businessman.


Episode 6 - Passages: Nora and Fletcher grow closer; the women of Brookfield rally together; Tess takes drastic action; Sam and Maggie reach a turning point; Reverend Daniels addresses the town.

Bee My Love

Storyline: A private chef competing for her dream job with a celebrity restaurateur finds inspiration in her mother’s recipes, the sweetness of honey, and a struggling beekeeper who teaches her to bee-lieve that life, and love, are sweetest when shared.

Movie Reviews:

🐝 Bee My Love was such a sweet movie! I really enjoyed the storyline (we have a good friend who is an Apiarist so it was neat to see the detail they put into the movie) I have never seen this actress before but I think she had believable chemistry with Robin, enjoyed the supporting characters as well. ~Paula

🐝 "Bee My Love" was a very nice movie. A bit slow at times, but we could look past that because the scenery was extraordinary as the relationships were authentic and the story line was good. I liked learning about how to harvest honey. And we especially liked the female lead. She was enchanting! Her sweet smile could light up a room. I wish they would film more movies in Hamilton. I know they have used Hamilton before, in other films, but I think it is the best place in Canada to shoot movies. Anyway, I recommend this sweet gem of a movie. -Joan

🐝 "Bee My Love"--I'm so glad I stuck with this one, thanks to Paula's review! I was having trouble getting into it in the begining, a little slow as Joan said, but I remembered Paula said she liked it and I usually agree with her, so I continued and really thought it was very good! The acting was quality, and it's didn't have the usual storyline with a misunderstanding, etc...I really liked it! -Lizzy R.

🐝 I finally got to watch Bee My Love and ......... I LOVED IT. Yes, there was a little silliness such as her being a culinary expert but she needed to see how honey worked to see if she can use it. I mean, these culinary experts know this already and do not need a bee lesson to know that.

But I loved how she learned the process. It might have been better written if she said she was going to use honey and wanted to see how his was so special and the process. But I am pretty sure she said in the beginning she needed to see how it could be worked into her dishes.

I loved the actress and Robin Dunne together. I loved her sister Emily A and loved the towns people coming together to help Aaron and Whitmore honey. I am just a sucker for a story of the town coming together to help someone. Now the losing of the bee farm stuff, that's overdone but I can see how that happens in life especially nowadays with GLP1's and people eating less sugar. I know people don't like the trope of a city girl coming home and giving up her dream job, but they did this movie so well in the fact that her dream was not what she thought, and it took going home and meeting Aaron and finding her passion to find her true dream.

I just adored this movie a lot and loved all the actors and actresses in this movie. Love seeing Bridgette Kingsley too. ~Sabrina

Great American Family released this new poster today for "When Hope Calls: Brookfield" Season 3!

The key art features Cindy Busby and Christopher Russell in the forefront with other cast members featured in the frames - Jesse Hutch, Sarah Fisher, Trevor Donovan, Hanneke Talbot, Jon McLaren, Jillian Murray, and Nick Bateman.

I also wanted to mention that there has been a slight change in the premiere date on Great American Family. It was originally announced that the series would air on Saturday, but like Crossroad Springs, it has been moved to Sunday nights, with the first episode airing on Easter Sunday.

Premiere Date - TV: Sunday, April 5th at 8/7c on Great American Family and GFam+

Premiere Date - Streaming: Thursday, April 2nd on Great American Pure Flix
