👑 Great American Media Announces Premiere Date for "A Prince In Paradise: A Royal Wedding"

Great American Media has shared some exciting premiere date news for their upcoming romantic comedy, A Prince in Paradise: A Royal Wedding!

The movie is set to premiere Saturday, August 1st at 8/7c on Great American Family and GFam+.

And if you’d like to watch a little early, you can also begin streaming the film starting Thursday, July 30th, on Great American Pure Flix.

The movie is currently filming in beautiful Australia and stars Rhiannon Fish and Mitchell Bourke, a lovely pairing once again for the third movie in this royal romance!

I hope you all have the sweetest, coziest Valentine’s Day weekend!! 💕

With all the rom-coms airing over the weekend, I couldn’t help but reminisce about some of my favorites that include Valentine's Day in the story. The ones that came to mind for me were Love, Romance & Chocolate, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From the Heart, My Secret Valentine, Harmony from the Heart, and An Unexpected Valentine. Those are the kind of love stories I can watch over and over again!

Plus, I love a long list of rom-coms that don't include Valentine's Day in them. I'll just list 5 favorites... A Country Wedding, All of My Heart, Love in Bloom, The Blessing Bracelet, and Styled with Love.

✨ Casting News! Meet Merritt Patterson’s On-Screen Match for 'Meet Me in the Margins'

Since the movie, Meet Me in the Margins, was announced last week with Merritt Patterson’s name attached to it, a few various actors' names, who might potentially portray her opposite, have been swirling around in my mind, but (bummer!) I didn't guess this one! Although I'm still pleasantly surprised!

Great American Family revealed today that actor Liam McIntyre (Designing Christmas with You) will be portraying Merritt Patterson's opposite in the rom-com movie, Meet Me in the Margins.

Meet Me in the Margins is being adapted for the screen from the novel of the same name by author Melissa Ferguson. In fact, the movie is currently in production in Canada.

*Note: This movie was released in 2022 and has been available on several streaming platforms, but it’s finally making its very first cable TV premiere on Great American Family! I’m so thrilled to see this delightful rom-com joining the GAF lineup and truly hope it will continue to encore there. I’ve been wishing for quite some time that GAF would add this sweet film to their movie library and it’s wonderful to see that's coming true!

💕 Meet Me In New York - First, this movie has excellent leads with Brooke Nevin and Corey Sevier. The chemistry is fantastic, it's funny, entertaining, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! There is one quick comment by Corey's character near the end about living with his previous girlfriend, but beyond that brief mention, the movie is completely G-rated and I loved the interaction between Corey and the young girl who portrayed his niece. This is one I'd love to have on DVD! ~Net

💕 Reel One's Love For Starters (written by Ansley Gordon) is a very lovely movie, and would be a perfect fit for GAF or UP TV. -Maria

💕 Love for Starters was good, just the typical girl comes home to save dad's hotel/restaurant/business. Love Stephanie Bennett and the male lead was awesome. I enjoyed it, just some things were a little wonky like they have this critic coming in only a few days but find the time to frolick around, have a stain/paint fight, go all round and have dinners/lunch. It was so important and the critic was coming in a few days and they have SO MUCH to do, yet they pretty much goof around all the time. I did love that they both found their passions by the end. ~Sabrina

💕 Love for Starters is a lighthearted, family-friendly rom-com. It doesn’t have many surprises, but it’s still a pleasant and enjoyable watch.

Stephanie Bennett is delightfully energetic in the lead role, and her co-star, Jonathan Cherry, makes a nice opposite. It’s especially fun to see Stephanie’s character, Olivia, return home and roll up her sleeves to help redecorate and redesign her father’s restaurant. I enjoyed the talks she had with her father and sister. Along the way, Olivia begins working closely with the new chef, Dax, and their growing connection adds a little extra flavor to the story.

Overall, I enjoyed the beautiful setting next to the water, the cozy restaurant, the sweet moments with family, their creativity in the kitchen, and a dash of romance. Love for Starters is an easygoing, enjoyable film. ~Net

Storyline: After finding a spark with a woman on a train platform, a photographer posts a missed connection in the newspaper but never hears from her. Five years later, they meet again while on the way to the same wedding – hers.

Movie Review:

💕 Mixed Connection was fun. I’ve never seen the woman before but I liked her. Christie

💕 I watched Missed Connection and I enjoyed it a lot. Loved how Max was able to get the wedding party guests to have fun while waiting for the wedding and the groom. I liked the female lead a lot too, hope we see her more. Loved her GiGi too. Very cute and sweet. ~Sabrina

Love Afloat

Starring: Alanna Smith and Travis Bravo-Thomas

Premiere Date: Saturday, February 28 at 8/7c on Great American Family

Storyline: When Lorelei inherits a shabby sailboat from a distant relative, she hires Rob to help clean, fix and sail it from its present location at a Caribbean island to Miami. The two will have to work together as romantic sparks start to fly.

Movie Review:

💕 Reel one's Love Afloat is a fantastic movie, would make a great fit for UPTV or GAF! -Maria

💕 Love Afloat - This movie is family-friendly, but it was just okay for me. The story is sweet and lighthearted, though I did find it a little hard to believe that a young woman would leave her job at such an important moment to go live and work on a boat she inherited from a relative who had recently passed away. That seeemed kinda far-fetched to me.

Along the way, she discovers a journal that shares the relative’s love story, and at the same time she begins to feel a spark with a man who is also searching for direction in his own life. She hires him to help restore the boat and serve as her captain as they sail it back to Miami. Overall, some of the acting was a little off, but all the characters seemed really nice. It's a one-time watch for me, but others who really enjoy boats and stories set on the water, may appreciate it more. ~Net

💕 Love Afloat-I hesitated to review because I appreciate any movie that is clean and family friendly, but I agree Net, it was just okay. Actually, your words are more generous than I can be! I did watch through to the end, but I really struggled to stay with this movie. The acting felt forced and I didn't sense chemistry between the two. The setting was loveley though. ~ Lizzy R.

💕 Love Afloat--I liked it too, though I am left wondering what or where St Tequila is?? When she landed by airboat, there were sky scrapers on the background. Was it just off Miami's coast? Was it one of the Florida keys? I know it's not but anyway. I liked the girl and the guy leads but did laugh at a few things such as her driving the boat and saying "I have never driven the boat in open seas" as you can see land right behind them and close. I am guessing St Tequila or whatever must just be across Biscayne Bay off Miami, and having been in a boat there as a kid when we moved to the keys on our boat, I would hardly call it the open seas. ~Sabrina

Exciting News! Lacey Chabert Announces New Hallmark Rom-Com with...

Hallmark has just posted to their socials the delightful news that Lacey Chabert (An Unexpected Valentine) and Ian Harding (The Magic of Lemon Drops) have just finished filming a new rom-com in Fiji, which will be coming to the Hallmark Channel in early 2026!

Presumably, this movie will premiere as part of the network's *Winter Escape* in January or during *Loveuary* in February! (The first theme seems to make the most sense though, since it is a destination movie, but we'll see.)

Doesn't Lacey look vibrant and fantastic here? I'm loving her skirt and top! Based on her upbeat personality in the video below, and their natural teasing, it seems like these two had a fun time filming this new romantic comedy.

Hallmark Makes New Streaming Deal for Christmas and Beyond - See Details:

Hey, Streamers & Movie Dreamers...

In case you missed this news, Hallmark Media has struck a multi-year agreement with Netflix that will bring Hallmark’s original series and select films to Netflix in the United States, as well as make some of its holiday films available internationally.

With this new deal, the first two seasons of the series "The Way Home" will stream on Netflix beginning October 1, 2025, with the third season arriving in February 2026. Future seasons will debut first on Hallmark Channel/Hallmark+ before streaming on Netflix.

In addition to airing Hallmark's series, the agreement also includes some of Hallmark's Christmas movies, including "Haul Out the Holly," "Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up," "All I Need for Christmas," "Christmas Under the Lights," "Our Holiday Story," and more.

Romantic comedies that will debut on Netflix include "An Unexpected Valentine," "Sisterhood, Inc.," "The Royal We," "Hats Off to Love," "Love in the Clouds," and more.

These movies will stream in markets where Hallmark’s own streaming platform, Hallmark+, has less reach.

Hallmark views Netflix as a way to reach a broader audience worldwide, while still maintaining its main shows and movies on Hallmark+ and its cable channel.

On Wednesday, August 6th, I had the joy of revealing the winners of the It's a Wonderful Movie Awards for Favorite 2024 Romantic Comedy, Mystery, Faith-Based film, & Christmas.

To the delight of myself and so many fans, His & Hers took top honors as the #1 voted favorite romantic-comedy of 2024.

To celebrate, I shared a special reel on X and Instagram, that highlighted the past 15 years worth of past winners and the newest champion.

Not long after, I received the sweetest response in my direct messages from Brennan Elliott saying, "THANK YOU so much Lacey and I are beaming!!"

I, of course, was elated by Brennan's words and so glad this news brought joy to them both.

Yesterday, Brennan shared the wonderful news on Instagram, posting a photo of himself with Lacey along with a heartfelt message thanking viewers for choosing "His & Hers" as their favorite movie.

Brennan also spoke movingly about how much this recognition means to him during a difficult season of loss, and he honored the special friendship he shares with Lacey.

"To say that @thereallacey and I are very humbled and grateful that our movie #hisandhers @hallmarkchannel was voted by all you wonderful fans as your favorite @hallmarkchannel movie of #2024 would be an understatement! Thank you all for supporting the movie and all our 10 movies together! I have been so blessed to be able to share the screen with her on 10 movies and love her as a scene partner and creative collaborator, but what you all do not see is how she is off screen. @thereallacey is one of my #bestfriends in the whole world and a beautiful human being who has been there for me through thick and thin. Especially the last number of years through this dark time of #cami being sick with cancer and her passing. This last year especially has been the hardest for the kids and I and I have a number of friends who have been there for me and help love myself and the kids through grief. But this soul sent from heaven @thereallacey is at the top of the list! I love you my friend and appreciate our friendship and to say I can’t wait to do a hundred more movies with you is the truth! But more important than that is I can’t wait to continue our friendship forever. Thank you @thereallacey for being a true friend and helping the kids and I as well as #cami when she was here on this plane through the struggles our family has gone thru. I am here for you and your family forever u know that! If anyone out there can have just 1 friend like I have in @thereallacey u r blessed! 🙏 ❤️"

I was so touched by Brennan's heartfelt message, I just had to share it here with all of you. It’s easy to see how much love, respect, and gratitude he has for Lacey as a co-star, but more importantly, as a true, lifelong friend. I believe that’s what makes "His & Hers" so special, and why fans embraced it with such warmth. It was made with real heart, on and off the screen.

It was an absolute honor to give Lacey and Brennan this year’s viewer-voted *It’s a Wonderful Movie Award*. They’ve brought so much joy to so many through their 10 films together, and they've shown us all the beauty of friendship, loyalty, and love that lasts through life’s hardest seasons.

I pray for them both... many more beautiful stories ahead!
