✨Surprise!✨ Ryan Paevey Filming Christmas Movie with Great American Family -- See Details Here:

( Ryan Paevey / Britt Robertson )

Great American Family surprised their social media followers today with a fun video of Ryan Paevey (Christmas at the Plaza) with his co-star, Britt Robertson (I Still Believe) - stepping out of their trailers on the set of their new Christmas movie!

Christmas at Moose Lake has been filming in Kentucky (across Somerset and Pulaski County), but it's a complete surprise to viewers that this will be a Great American Family holiday movie!

Also in the cast are Natasha Henstridge (Christmas Song) and Kevin Dillon (Reagan).

Here's the fun video Great American Family posted:

Parade released the image above with the storyline below - via Great American Media:

Alyssa Dawson (Robertson), a New York-based professional, returns to her family’s lake house for Christmas following a recent breakup, only to find herself navigating unresolved grief, evolving family ties, and the pull of long-held traditions. As her dad (Dillon) cautiously steps into a new chapter with Donna (Henstridge), Alyssa must reconcile the past with the promise of what lies ahead. When she reconnects with Sean (Paevey) – a thoughtful visitor with a meaningful connection to her history – a misplaced engagement ring sets off a heartfelt journey that leads Alyssa back to what matters most: love, belonging, and the courage to embrace new beginnings.

Are Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey Hinting at a Return to Hallmark?

( image: Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey, Hallmark Media )

Yesterday, on Sunday afternoon, Jen Lilley (A Paris Christmas Waltz, USS Christmas) dropped another hint for her Instagram followers, and it's still got people chatting and guessing today!

Jen posted numerous press shots of herself (seen above) with the caption:

"Mark this moment. Everything’s about to change. Big things are coming!

PS I have way too much fun Everytime @bradley206 get together!"

(By the way, in case you're wondering, @bradley206 is photographer, Brad Everett Young.)

You may have noticed that above I said another tease, because on June 10th, Jen Lilley also shared a similar message, stating, "Something major is going on behind the scenes. Let me know your guesses. (And no, not welcoming baby #5)"

Of course, many people are throwing around different theories, like if she’s going to be in movie sequels, whether she’s coming back to the soap opera "Days of Our Lives," or if she’s doing something with the Hallmark Channel. Is she starring in a new project for Great American Family? Has she written a book, working on a music album, or planning to help foster kids??? The guesses just keep rolling in...

On Sunday, former Hallmark star Ryan Paevey just happened to randomly post a scene featuring himself and Jen Lilley from one of their earlier Hallmark films, Harvest Love. Now, if Ryan shared various scenes from his movies often, I might not think anything of it, but it's been a VERY long time since Ryan has shared anything specifically movie related, although back in April, he did share that he will be attending Small Town Christmas in Georgia from July 25-27, a meet and greet event with other actors and fans. Also in April, Ryan shared that he had been chatting with folks at Hallmark and was open to the possibility of getting back into acting.

Ryan Paevey stepped away from acting to prioritize his family, particularly to support his mother during some health challenges. In June 2024, he officially announced his decision to take a break from his acting career, expressing a desire to explore other interests and spend more time with his loved ones.

The website Just Jared took a poll back in late April to mid-May asking fans which actor they would like to see return to Hallmark. Ryan Paevey won the poll decisively with 47% of the vote and Jen Lilley came in second with 21%. I remember Jen Lilley encouraged her social media followers to vote for her and she even playfully teased Ryan about beating him in the poll. It was all lighthearted and fun, but in the end, Ryan came out on top, a result that surely caught the attention of Hallmark executives.

Aside from their earlier collaboration in Harvest Love in 2017, Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey last appeared together in the 2021 rom-com A Little Daytime Drama. The film was a charming nod to the soap opera world, an industry both stars know well from their time on General Hospital (Ryan) and Days of Our Lives (Jen). If the picture below is any indication, it's obvious these two have a level of comfort working with each other.

So, what does this mean if Jen Lilley returns to Hallmark? Will we see her on Great American Family again?

Unless Jen Lilley signs an exclusive contract, this simply means that she has the open door to work at more than one network. While Jen has mainly acted in Great American Family movies the last four years, she would now have the opportunity, if presented, to work on both channels.

In fact, many actors have found success working with both the Hallmark Channel and Great American Family, including Cindy Busby, Christopher Russell, Rhiannon Fish, Paul Greene, and Daniel Lissing. So it's entirely possible that Jen Lilley could follow a similar path.

Which brings us back to the original question: Do you think both Jen Lilley and Ryan Paevey are making their way back to Hallmark? Or could Jen be focusing on something entirely different?

If, by any chance, Jen Lilley is making a return to Hallmark, I’d personally love to see her paired with Ryan Paevey in a DaySpring Christmas film this year. Jen has often spoken about how important her faith in Jesus is to her, and she co-hosts a podcast called Into the Supernatural with Billy Hallowell, where they explore miracles and other supernatural aspects of the Christian faith. With that in mind, an inspirational DaySpring movie seems like a perfect fit for her, at least, that’s my hope!

Blessings on your day,

I hope you all will enjoy many of the Christmas movies airing on TV this weekend, old and new! I'm hoping to watch one or two of the new movies over the weekend, but I'm definitely going to record all of them! Sometimes, I get wrapped up in watching the older Christmas movies, though, it's harder to find time to watch the new ones. I'm sure many of you can relate.

Speaking of great Christmas movie classics, Hallmark Drama is airing two wonderful ones on Saturday, Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas and Trading Christmas! Both films follow a Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie marathon that begins at 1pm/12c. on Hallmark Drama.

It's going to feel a little strange not to have a new episode of When Calls the Heart this weekend, but at least we have the new Christmas movie with Kevin McGarry, Checkin' it Twice. From the various promos I've seen, this movie looks like it's going to be super funny, and I'm so looking forward to it, even though I must admit, I know only the basiics about hockey.

I'm also looking forward to Great American Family's premiere of 'Twas the Text Before Christmas. First of all, that title is so creative; I just love it! It may be the best NEW Christmas title this year. Plus, I think it will be great to see Merritt Patterson and Trevor Donovan in another Christmas movie together, since many viewers loved Jingle Bell Princess.

Be sure to share which movies you are looking forward to seeing this weekend in the comments below!

Please note: I haven't pre-screened the new movies listed above. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in comments.

Visit the *Christmas TV Schedule* for the dates and times of NEW Christmas movies airing in October, November, and December.

We certainly have a wonderful variety of new movies to choose from this weekend. Which one will you fall for?

All three movies look intriguing to me for various reasons...

Guiding Emily is sure to be a heartwarming, inspirational story full of emotion. The story is based on the book, Guiding Emily: A Tale of Love, Loss, and Courage, by Author Barbara Hinske (writer of The Christmas Club, which also became a delightful Hallmark movie).

Love Can Surprise You, Great American Family's first Autumn movie premiere, looks to be a lighthearted romantic comedy. I've seen the lead actor, David Lafontaine, in a couple movies, but the one that stands out to me the most is Christmas at the Plaza, where he plays the rather clueless boyfriend, who is not in tune whatsoever to his girlfriend's feelings. I'm hoping this new GAF movie will be a redeeming role for him. David's character in Love Can Surprise You seems to be much more knowledgeable about love, but can he apply it to real life?

And... since Hallmark Channel's new premiere Fourth Down and Love has two well-known and well-loved Hallmark actors, Pascale Hutton and Ryan Paevey, along with the football theme, I have a feeling this film will definitely draw in viewers with it's familiar and cozy fall feeling. It's set to record on my DVR; I'm sure it will be a ratings touchdown!

I'm also looking forward to the sweet reunion on When Calls the Heart Sunday night when Elizabeth's former student, Rosaleen, returns to Hope Valley. My hope is that it will be a touching episode building up to forgiveness from Rosaleen to Henry Gowen, who she still blames for the mine accident years ago that killed her father. From the promos Hallmark has shared, it's clear that Molly Sullivan explains to her daughter that Henry Gowen is not the same man he used to be.

Forgiveness is not always easy; it can be a struggle to give, but it's an important step to healing from past hurts. Honestly, the person we are to forgive may not always, in the rational sense, deserve it or even ask for it, but the Bible instructs us to forgive as The Lord forgives us for our sins. As we forgive others, through our faith, we are released from the anger and bitterness that once held us. Scripture tells us in Mark 11:25, "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." When we choose to forgive others out of obedience to God, then we receive spiritual freedom.

I hope you all have a blessed and wonderful weekend. Please note: I have not pre-screened the new movies listed above. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in comments.

Blessings to you all,
Net

🌟🎁 Unwrap NEW Christmas Movies on Great American Family, the Hallmark Channel, UPtv, Lifetime and More... All Weekend Long! 🎁🌟

It's the first weekend in December, so that means we have a sleigh-load of NEW Christmas movies coming our way this Saturday and Sunday! Set your DVRs now! You'll find listed below 11 all-new Christmas movies from Great American Family, UPtv, the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, ION, CBS, and Lifetime!

Recently, I found myself caught up in a re-airing of "White Christmas" on AMC and the 1994 version of "Miracle on 34th Street" on Freeform. While I do, of course, like the new Christmas movies, there's nothing quite like catching a beloved, cherished Christmas classic, as well. There's just something about the nostalgia and familiarity that is so warm and comforting.

As for the new Christmas movies, it's always delightful to watch something brand new and instantly know it's one of the movies you will enjoy watching over and over again - for years to come. Maybe there will be one like that this weekend???

Whatever you watch this weekend, old or new, I sincerely hope you find something enjoyable to view - that uplifts your spirit and brightens your day!

See the NEW Christmas movie premieres below...
