This film is currently being shot at Great Point Studios in Buffalo, New York, and is set to premiere as part of the 5th Anniversary of GREAT AMERICAN CHRISTMAS in 2025. The beloved programming event will begin airing in October on Great American Family, GFAM+, and streaming on Great American Pure Flix. A Belle Christmas joins a new, all-star lineup for Great American Christmas 2025, celebrating faith, family, love, joy, and hope. Christmas as it is meant to be.

In A Belle Christmas, Belle Carter (Tsai), dedicated but exhausted head of beloved local nonprofit, Bedford House, has devoted her whole life to making Christmas bright for those in need. But with the holidays just days away, donations are down, time is running out, and Belle feels her efforts are slipping away. When the town’s Mayor announces a new nonprofit consultant, Clara James (Reilly) will be joining Belle to help, Belle fears she’s being replaced in the role that has defined her for years. Annoyed at first, Belle unexpectedly finds space for joy she has long ignored. The season brings another surprise: the return of Marine Sgt. Will Mattinson (Williams) who is welcomed home from military service. As old feelings stir, Belle struggles to release responsibility and open her heart to possibility. With Christmas fast approaching and the community’s hopes hanging in the balance, Belle discovers believing in the best of people is the greatest gift of all.

Hallmark heads to the Grand Ole Opry for a Magical, Musical Christmas Story this holiday season!

The Hallmark Channel is bringing nostalgia, time-travel, and country music to *Countdown to Christmas* this year with "A Grand Ole Opry Christmas," a brand-new Christmas movie starring Nikki DeLoach and Kristoffer Polaha!

The story follows Gentry Woods (played by Nikki DeLoach), the daughter of late country music legend Jett Woods. Once an aspiring songwriter herself, Gentry walked away from the music world after her father’s tragic car accident thirty years ago. But when the Grand Ole Opry invites her to honor her father at its centennial Christmas celebration, an unexpected twist of Christmas magic transports her back to 1995.

In the past, she crosses paths with her best friend Mac (played by Kristoffer Polaha), a country music talent manager who is also swept back in time. Together, they face old wounds, rediscover lost dreams, and uncover long-buried truths about Gentry’s father, finding healing and hope in the process.

Adding even more star power, country superstar Brad Paisley is writing and performing original songs for the film, including the theme for this year’s *Countdown to Christmas*.

Hallmark’s Chief Brand Officer Darren Abbott calls the project a perfect pairing of heartfelt storytelling with the Opry’s 100th anniversary, and filming will take place in real Opry locations to give the movie an authentic Nashville feel.

Yesterday, I shared the exciting news about the upcoming movie Grounded in Love and its streaming premiere on August 7th. Today, I’m thrilled to bring you the official update on when it will air on Great American Family!

Coming this Fall, Great American Family will present audiences with Grounded in Love! This all-new heartwarming romance stars Danica McKellar and Trevor Donovan, who are both well-known to rom-com movie watchers.

The film takes viewers on a soul-stirring journey, following Annie (portrayed by Danica McKellar), a globetrotting flight attendant whose life takes an unexpected turn when she loses her job and her relationship. In Home Sweet Christmas Wedding (wt): As snow falls gently on their quaint hometown, Sophie and Sam are swept into the magic of the Christmas season—only this time, it’s through the lens of a movie being filmed about their very own love story. At first, the process of art imitating life is like a fairy-tale, but soon, the challenges of making the film start to threaten Sam and Sophia’s real-life wedding plans or lack thereof. Holiday Film "Christmas in the Ring" Greenlit for Production from Imagicomm Entertainment

Imagicomm Entertainment is stepping into the holiday ring once again with the announcement of a brand-new boxing-themed Christmas movie titled Christmas in the Ring, set to begin filming later this year and scheduled to hit screens in 2026.

My pick of these three Christmas movies is Santa Tell Me since it's a true romantic-comedy. It's lighthearted and hilarious, with a great cast of supporting characters. Looking for a reprieve, Annie drives from Manhattan to her grandmother’s Kentucky farm. After a few character-building days, life on the farm ultimately brings Annie unexpected blessings in the form of rediscovering her faith, and reconnecting with her handsome childhood friend, Jake (Donovan), who has just moved back from the big city to create a more grounded and intentional life for himself.

Grounded is Trevor Donovan’s fourth film shot in Kentucky. “I’ve really enjoyed working here, and I’m hoping we can make it a regular thing because the state has so much to offer filmmakers,” Donovan said.

My Quick Take:

This is such wonderful news today from Great American Media! A few weeks back, Danica and Trevor shared a fun, quick video of the two of them dancing together, and everyone on social media wondered if they were working on something together.

Then, Trevor revealed shortly after, just before he left to film When Hope Calls (which is also premiering next year on Great American Family), that he had just filmed something!

So... now we officially know what they were filming! And I must say, it sounds terrific!

First, I love the fact that they filmed this movie in Kentucky! Yay! I'm all for filming in the good old USA, and Kentucky is such a beautiful state that holds a special place in my heart due to family connections there.

Also, I'm thrilled that this movie will be filled with faith! We need more inspirational films in our world today, and it's a blessing to know Great American Family is creating more of them!

INSP’s Breakthrough Series ELKHORN

Greenlit for a 2nd Season

[Indian Land, SC – October 28, 2024] – Western themed general entertainment network INSP today announced that the highly acclaimed series ELKHORN has officially been greenlit for a second season. The new season is expected to premiere on INSP in the fall of 2025. The announcement comes from Craig Miller, VP of Original Programming for INSP and an Executive Producer for the series.

ELKHORN, a scripted period drama inspired by true events, brings to life the dramatic story of young Theodore Roosevelt (played by Mason Beals), who abruptly leaves his promising political career in New York for the unforgiving Dakota Badlands. There, he carves out the sprawling Elkhorn Ranch and transforms himself into a cowboy and a cattleman.

“When we left Theodore Roosevelt at the end of season one, the future president had somehow managed to establish Elkhorn as a formidable ranch while still reeling from the deaths of his wife and mother,” said Miller. “In season two, Roosevelt finds enemies at every turn as he struggles to keep the ranch afloat.”

In ELKHORN season 2, Roosevelt and his fellow ranchers must defend themselves against the men of the Chicago Beef Trust, who embark on a campaign of sabotage and violence to protect their stronghold on the local cattle market.

Roosevelt continues his power struggle with the enigmatic town founders, the Marquis de Morés and his wife, Medora, who reign over the townsfolk with threats, intimidation, and hired guns.

Amid this turmoil, Roosevelt also learns to navigate the cramped quarters of the Elkhorn cabin with the wives of his partners, Bill Sewall and Wilmot Dow. Though Roosevelt agreed to let the men bring their wives when they returned from Maine, the women’s presence is clearly unnerving for the recently widowed Roosevelt, who moved to the Badlands to escape the painful memory of his own wife's death.
