HALLMARK DRAMA is now on DirecTV!

Yesterday, my Sister-n-Law called with some fun news! She was looking at the guide on her TV at Hallmark Movies & Mysteries… and what did she see? Hallmark Drama has now been added to DirecTV!

I was ecstatic to learn of this news – and wanted to be certain to share it with all of you!

I quickly turned the station and there it was! At the time, the endearing show, “Little House on the Prairie” was playing. It’s always nice to see wonderful family programming like this have a home on TV, especially with all the non-family programming which is so easily accessible these days. In the future, there have been talks of original movies and possibly, new 1 hour dramas coming to Hallmark Drama, as well, so… it’s a wonderful gift this Christmas season for DirecTV subscribers!

This news was also publicly announced on the Hallmark Drama Facebook page:

“Hallmark Drama is launching today (December 14, 2018) on DIRECTV’s Movies Extra Pak channel 564. Enjoy family-friendly Hallmark Hall of Fame movies and heartwarming TV series on Hallmark Drama.”

I am hoping this change of name will make this station more widely available to all cable and satellite providers!

If you do not have Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, please join me in calling our cable/satellite providers and asking them for the newly named Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel!

• Call DirecTV at 1-800-531-5000. Please ask them to make Hallmark Movies & Mysteries available in SD, standard definition, like the DISH network does.

• Call AT&T u-verse at 1-800.288.2020. Please ask them to give you the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Perhaps, with this change of name, more cable providers will "get a clue" and give its customers the channels they are seeking!

My take...
In any given Mystery, when a character disguises or changes his or her name, he may have something to hide... however,  Hallmark is just the opposite... I believe this new development - the recent changing of name, will make the newly branded Hallmark Movies & Mysteries shine even brighter, from out of the shadows, and eventually gain it's way into more of our homes!

INSP has sent out a newsletter to let their viewers know they are back on DirecTV Channel 364! I am super excited to receive and share this exciting news with all my fellow DirecTV watchers! We will, once again, have this wonderful channel that gives us wholesome Family TV Series and Movies!

If you are a DirecTV customer, then on February 1st, 2014, DirecTV removed the television network INSP, channel 364, from your channel line-up.

Finding TV Shows that are Family-Friendly is difficult these days, and knowing we had a Television Network we could always trust to bring us family entertainment, was priceless!

Thank you to all our INSP viewers for your overwhelming support.

Your emails, phone calls and Facebook posts are making a resounding statement about how important INSP and its family friendly programming is to you.

To be clear, INSP never wanted to come off DIRECTV. INSP is FREE, has always been FREE and doesn’t add one single penny to your monthly satellite bill.

You’re the customer and you deserve to have the programing you ask for.

DISH Network's New "Heartland Package"

For all of you who have the DISH Network, I thought you might be interested to hear this exciting Family TV News.... According to the DISH Network's TV Blog, they are now offering, for an extra $5 a month, an extra package of TV Channels that includes Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movie Channel, GMC TV, PixL, RFD-TV and, starting later this week, Rural TV.

Wow! Sounds good to me! Come On... DirectTV - we want the same thing now, too! Especially the Hallmark Movie Channel and PixL - both are great stations that play Family-Friendly movies. According to DISH, PixL is the first true family-safe 24/7 premium movie channel. They provide safe programming like original movies, miniseries, and series that inspire and tug on the heart strings. The best part of this channel is the no commercial interruptions.

So, why is it called the "Heartland Package"? Senior vice president of Programming at DISH, Dave Shull, gave this comment. “Parents want to be involved and watch TV with their children, and the Heartland Package brings the whole family together around this combination of family-focused networks.

According to Multichannel News, the Heartland Package -- includes movies, classic TV series, inspirational concert specials and rural lifestyle content. Dish also said the new content package includes GMC TV - home of the original family drama series Heartland... another reason for labeling it the "The Heartland Package".

Please Note: I have heard of conflicting news sources on whether it actually includes the Hallmark Movie Channel or not. If anyone reading this knows anything more regarding this news - please leave a comment below.
