As much as I love watching the brand-new Christmas movie premieres along with all of you, I also cherish revisiting the classic favorites I'm sure many of us have adored since childhood, like Home Alone, The Santa Clause trilogy, and so many more!

Typically, Freeform drops its *25 Days of Christmas* schedule around November 1st. Since that day fell on a Saturday this year, I was sure we’d hear something today… but nooooo. Silence. Absolute crickets… *Jiminy Cricket*, to be exact! (haha!)

So while we patiently wait for the 25 Days of Christmas lineup, let’s take a look at some of the beloved holiday classics airing this November, 2025…

✨🎅 New "Prep & Landing" Animation to Premiere This Christmas 🎅✨

A brand-new holiday adventure is on the way! 🎅

"Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol" premieres this Thanksgiving, November 27th, on the Disney Channel, with streaming available the very next day on Disney+.

Viewers will once again get to enjoy the delightful antics of the adorable elves, Lanny and Wayne! Plus, the special will air later in the season on ABC and Freeform as part of their well-loved “25 Days of Christmas” celebration!

According to Disney's press release, this cartoon is "marking the franchise's return after more than a decade, "Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol" is the fourth installment in a series of popular animated holiday specials featuring Christmas elves from an elite organization tasked with preparing homes worldwide for Santa's arrival. The new special follows Christmas elves Lanny and Wayne, whose holiday mission goes awry, leaving Wayne convinced he's in major trouble with Santa and accidentally revealing other merry mishaps."

Please Note: I haven’t always connected with some of Disney’s more recent projects, especially those with woke content, but I’ve always had a soft spot for this charming "Prep & Landing" series and some of the great Disney classics, like Cinderella, Snow White, Bambi, Toy Story, etc... My hope is that the new special will capture the same innocent, lighthearted fun and sweet spirit that made the previous cartoons such a joy to watch.

My thoughts on New Freeform 25 Days of Christmas Movie ‘No Sleep ‘Til Christmas’

For those of you who visit here often, you know me, I'm always game for a new Christmas movie! It can be silly, sweet, romantic, heartwarming... as long as it is family-friendly, contains good morals and has an uplifting, positive story... I'm all in!

Well, once again, I must share that after reading a synopsis of Freeform's upcoming Christmas movie offering, I have decided I will not be tuning in.

The title of this new Freeform Christmas movie is ‘No Sleep ‘Til Christmas,’ which immediately had me imagining a child who was too excited to sleep before Christmas morning, or perhaps a child who was trying to stay up late at night in an effort to try and catch Santa in the act! Both possibilities sound plausible and cute with this title, but are way off the beaten path when it comes to the true story behind the title.

Here it is...
‘No Sleep ‘Til Christmas’ movie synopsis via TVline.com:
"Lizzie (Odette Annable, "Supergirl") is an event planner preparing for her wedding, who lies awake nightly while her fiancé rests peacefully. When a sleep-deprived incident causes her to run into Billy (Dave Annable, "Brothers and Sisters"), a bartender who is just as sleepless and frustrated as she is, they discover that they can only fall asleep while next to each other."

Freeform is well known for crossing the immoral line when creating their content, so I cannot say this particular story is surprising. I did want to make you all aware, and inform you that I will not be watching or sharing further details on this movie here.

Caution #2: Freeform’s Holiday Movie "Angry Angel"

When I first learned about Freeform’s upcoming original Christmas movie “Angry Angel” back in April, my spirit was immediately on guard- regarding the name of the movie and the short synopsis that was given, at the time. (see *here* or below...)

The original synopsis…
ORIGINAL MOVIE - "ANGRY ANGEL" (WORKING TITLE) - Premiering December 2017

From director/producer Will Gluck of "Easy A" and "Annie" comes "Angry Angel" (working title), the story of a young woman who tries to get back to heaven after she seriously messes up. During this quest, she bumps into the love of her life and suddenly heaven doesn't seem so great after all. Think "It's a Wonderful Life" for the Snapchat generation. Produced by Olive Bridge Entertainment in association with Sony Pictures Television, Will Gluck and Richard Schwartz will serve as executive producers. "Angry Angel" (working title) is an all-new scripted two-hour movie, premiering in December 2017.


At the time (back in April) I shared these thoughts….

My Take:

As I read and re-read the description above for "Angry Angel," it sounds like to me, Hollywood is attempting, once again, to skew our religious beliefs. One does not "mess up" and leave heaven. We are saved by God's grace.

This would not be the first time that Freeform/ABC Family's so called Holiday programming was less than family-friendly or respectful of religious beliefs, or the Christmas holiday. ("Christmas Cupid" is a prime example)

I personally found the title of the movie, "Angry Angel," to be extremely offensive. To portray an Angel as Angry over frivolous (worldly) matters - is quite demeaning. Since this is the working title, it may change before it airs on TV, this Christmas, but I still want to caution you all - I have a strong feeling that this movie may not be in the same sweet-nature as Clarence, in "It's a Wonderful Life." (as they claimed)

And now…

Since then, a cast has been named for this made-for-TV movie… Jason Biggs (Orange is the New Black), Brenda Song (Pure Genius), Ricky Mabe (Preacher), Andrew Bachelor (Meet the Blacks) and Andy Favreau (The Mick).
And a new synopsis via Freeform…
(NOT for children to read, please!)
“Angry Angel follows a young woman turned angel, Allison Pyke (Song), who is stuck on Earth and can’t seem to ring the right bells in order to pass through those pearly gates into heaven. When the love of her life, Patrick (Mabe), shows up in New York City, it complicates Pyke’s journey as well as frustrates her angel mentor Jason Biggs (Biggs). The not-so-merry situation also turns into an unexpected love triangle with her friend with sometimes benefits, Barker (Favreau).”

My Take #2:
All of my concerns over this new Holiday movie, “Angry Angel,” have been completely justified in this new synopsis. Everything about this production twists reality and the spiritual realm entirely upside down.
Freeform’s “Angry Angel” is a complete mockery of Christianity and celestial beings… featuring a (“supposed return-to-earth”) angel who is in love with two men, one who is a friend, (and I QUOTE) “with sometimes benefits.” (This is blatant immorality.)
I am not surprised over what Freeform (who has increasing gone the way of the world) has created here, but I am deeply offended that they are boldly taking something so Holy and Precious, as one of God’s Angels, and making a deceptive parody of them. This caricature is completely false. Blasphemy. Sacrilegious. They must have no shame or respect for God’s Holy Word as they attempt to destroy something so sacred. Angels are supernatural messengers of God… holy, mighty and powerful!
Please – everyone do everything you can to warn your family and friends NOT to watch “Angry Angel” this holiday season on Freeform. This is not a cute little Christmas TV movie they are making here. They are trying to send a message– attempting to mock and destroy the very truth of God’s Word.
I am saddened to share this news, but I just had to inform you all of the worldly content within this movie. Please, join me in praying for those involved with this production.

As I read and re-read the description above for "Angry Angel," it sounds like to me, Hollywood is attempting, once again, to skew our religious beliefs. One does not "mess up" and leave heaven. We are saved by God's grace.

This would not be the first time that Freeform/ABC Family's so called Holiday programming was less than family-friendly or respectful of religious beliefs, or the Christmas holiday. ("Christmas Cupid" is a prime example)

I personally found the title of the movie, "Angry Angel," to be extremely offensive. To portray an Angel as Angry over frivolous matters - is quite demeaning. Since this is the working title, it may change before it airs on TV, this Christmas, but I still want to caution you all - I have a strong feeling that this movie may not be in the same sweet-nature as Clarence, in "It's a Wonderful Life."

Santa Baby 2 + ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas

ABC FAMILY ANNOUNCES UPCOMING PROGRAMMING SLATE

Actress Jenny McCarthy will star in the network's new original holiday movie, "Santa Baby 2," with Paul Sorvino and Dean McDermott. The movie will premiere in December during ABC Family's 12th annual "25 Days of Christmas" programming event which will feature over 200 hours of holiday-themed entertainment for the whole family from December 1- 25. McCarthy reprises her role as Mary Class, Santa's business minded daughter, to help save Christmas in "Santa Baby 2," the sequel to ABC Family's original hit movie of 2006.

Santa's in the midst of a late-life crisis -- he's tired of the responsibilities of the job and is ready to pass on the reins to Mary, who feels torn between the family business and running her own high stakes firm in New York City, along with balancing a relationship with the love of her life, Luke. The situation gets increasingly dire when a disgruntled former elf, Teri, in cunning disguise, sows dissension at the North Pole in an effort to take over Christmas. "Santa Baby 2" also stars Paul Sorvino as 'Santa Claus,' Dean McDermott as 'Luke Jessup' and Kelly Stables as 'Teri'; written by Peter Garrett Frawley & Brian Turner and executive-produced by Jody Brockway and Craig McNeil.

In addition to "Santa Baby 2," the network will feature classic holiday favorites such as "Rudolph's Shiny New Year," "Frosty's Winter Wonderland" and "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town." ABC Family will also present the basic cable premieres of Disney·PIXAR's Academy Award®-winning (Best Animated Feature Film) "RATATOUILLE" and "Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause."
