Savor The Weekend With New TV Movies, Favorite Movie Classics (including Christmas!), "When Calls The Heart," And More ►►

.Happy Weekend, Movie Friends!

I hope many of you will have sunny skies, without the blistering heat, on this second weekend in June! Although it's not officially Summer, yet, we've certainly had several days this Spring that have felt like it already with high humidity. Thankfully, the dew point has dropped some for us, and we can enjoy a more pleasant feel outside. Hopefully, you are experiencing much of the same!

If you're going to be keeping cool inside, however, or enjoying some downtime in the evenings, then I have TWO NEW MOVIES to share with you, plus some movie classics you might also enjoy rewatching listed in the Programming Notes section near the end of this post.

See all of the details on these movies, plus the all-new episode of When Calls The Heart, below...

Friday, June 7, 2024:

Storyline: A cryptic call about a planned jewelry heist draws a Detroit Free Press tipline operator, Maddie Moore, into a dangerous homicide case alongside a newly promoted detective.

Premieres Friday, June 7, 2024
at 9pm/8c. on Hallmark Mystery

Movie Reviews:

πŸ”Ž Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder Review... This was a very clean and family-friendly mystery I am happy to say!! I had fun watching it. I loved the beginning scene when she switches the hotel room numbers because the customer was VERY insistent on that room even though they are duplicates.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I would have liked it better if Maddie's character could down play a bit. I could see why the police thought her annoying, but she did grow on me. Chris(I almost typed Lucas ;) did a great job as the detective! He's a good actor.

I hope to see more, it was fun. I love it when the police let the amateur detective help out! ~Abigail

πŸ”Ž Tipline Mysteries Dial 1 For Murder is family friendly. I had trouble understanding Holland's dialogue. Speaks real fast. No problem with any of the other actors. Lots of twists and Holland's character takes some really crazy risks as the movie moves along. Fair chemistry between Holland and Chris. Chris does make a good detective. ~Joyce in Carolina

STAR IN
TIPLINE MYSTERIES: DIAL 1 FOR MURDER
A NEW, ORIGINAL PREMIERING JUNE 7,
ON HALLMARK MYSTERY

Hallmark Movies Now Subscribers Get Early Access Starting May 16

A tipline operator finds danger on the line, when Holland Roden (Teen Wolf) and Chris McNally (When Calls the Heart, Firefly Lane) star in Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder, a new, original movie premiering Friday, June 7 (9 p.m. ET/PT), on Hallmark Mystery. Hallmark Movies Now Subscribers get early access starting May 16.

Maddie Moore (Roden) is a concierge at a hotel in Detroit, Michigan, who moonlights at Detroit Free Press in their tipline department. Most nights, calls run anywhere from alien sightings to lost cats. One night, however, Maddie receives a cryptic call warning of a jewelry heist. When Maddie brings this to the police, she finds that her usual, complacent contact has retired and has been replaced by the newly promoted Detective Beeks (McNally). Unfortunately, despite his stellar reputation as an officer, Detective Beeks doesn’t take Maddie’s anonymous tips any more seriously than his predecessor. Maddie, who has always taken exhaustive notes, isn’t ready to let it go. Using an app that allows her to listen into the city’s police scanner, she overhears a dispatch call about a jewelry heist involving a possible homicide. Immediately connecting it to the anonymous tip, Maddie rushes to the scene of the crime, only for Detective Beeks to turn her away. Undeterred, Maddie decides to investigate on her own, sometimes using her day job as a cover, and she continues to cross paths with Detective Beeks. When Maddie’s insights prove to be useful, Detective Beeks reluctantly joins forces with her. However, when the investigation takes a dangerous turn, Maddie begins to worry that her number just might be up.

Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder is from Timeless Pictures in association with USA Today & Gannett Co. and MarVista Entertainment. Aidan Heatley, Ben C. Silverman, Michael R. Goldstein, Alexandre Coscas, Todd Hoffman, David Hamlin and Fernando Szew are executive producers. Ronny Kurland is co-executive producer. Produced by Matthew Santoro. Jessica Harmon and Cynde Harmon directed from a script by Christine Conradt.

Happy (early) 8 Months 'til Christmas!

Tomorrow is April 25th, and if you've been a follower here at It's a Wonderful Movie for a while, then you know on each 25th day of the month we highlight the day as we Countdown to Christmas!

In honor of the 25th, we try to watch something Christmassy on this day - a movie, cartoon, etc... If you'd like to participate, simply share what Christmas movie/show you plan to watch to *Mark the 25th* in comments below.

My schedule is a little busy this week, so I'm going to try to catch some of Call Me Mrs. Miracle, in honor of the fact that Eric Johnson will be Candace Cameron Bure's co-star in her upcoming Great American Family Christmas movie, A Christmas Less Traveled. I just adore that Hallmark movie classic!

Also, the Hallmark Channel has some fun Christmas movies airing Friday night - here are two I recommend-

It's Christmas, Eve - 7pm/6c
Three Wise Men & a Baby - 11pm/10c

Have a Wonderful Day, Everyone!

Stay tuned for my weekend movie post on Friday and something special tomorrow!

Blessings to you all,
