  1. Is that Opal in the yellow dress and long straight hair. If so she's grown! And so has Timmy. I've been watching this show since it started, wow!!! 11 years! I can not wait for this!!!

Elizabeth's hair is growing on me. Like this updated version of her. We also noticed the raised skirt, but look at her shoes! Her ankles are showing and clear panty hose.

Mei Sou seems to be wearing some sort of Mary Jane shoes that were popular in the 1920's.

    1. Abigail, Yes, that is our little Opal! She's really grown up on the show. She should still be holding her teddy bear, right?

I agree; it is interesting to see the styles change on the show throughout the years. I do wish they would wear hats more, though, because people in that time period loved their hats. Oh, how I wish more people cared about their appearance today, as they did back then.

  2. Can't believe I'm about to say this, but here it is: Thanks to finding the Hearties community on Twitter, they've... slightly convinced me to consider getting through these episodes instead of just reading about them. Guess I'm not ready to be done with this show just yet when there's still parts of it that I love.

Just don't expect me to ever be okay with E and N scenes. -Maria

    1. Maria, I totally understand. I wasn't sure I could watch after Season 8 and to be honest, in the beginning, the Elizabeth and Lucas scenes were somewhat cringey for me. Perhaps, if you watch some of the trailers floating around social media that will prepare you for what is to come. I'm actually still getting used to the idea of Elizabeth liking Nathan now; as it all seems rather unreal.

I'm just hoping more than ever, that as other things change, the true morals and principles of the show remain the same.

    1. Anonymous, I tried to share a variety of images that were made available from Hallmark Media for this upcoming season. Thus far, there are no studio images for little Jack, Allie, or Fiona.

  6. When I see these images of E & N gazing adoringly into each other’s eyes, I remember the moment at the end of season 8 when Elizabeth rushed into Lucas’ arms and said “thank you for waiting for me” with such love. I loved them together so much. I just can’t watch. Aside from that, whenever period films/show start to enter the 20s, I lose interest anyway because that’s when our country really to lose its way morally, I feel. Certain styles and fashions started creeping in that we’re seeing the results of today. So I would’ve lost interest anyway. But I hope it remains clean and uplifting for others to enjoy.

    1. Rebecca, I appreciate your comment. I sure hope as the show eases into the 1920's, that the values don't change. I think many today have that perspective that everything was the "Roaring 20's" then, and I don't think it was like that in small towns at all. I think people were just working hard then trying to make ends meet; they went to church and held strong values; children attended school and had chores; fathers worked to provide, while mothers stayed at home and cared for the children and home and life was fairly normal. Anyway, I sure hope they stay away from the worldly version of the "Roaring 20's."

That was so thoughtful of you, Rebecca, to wish all of us well who will be watching.

      Blessings to you! Net

    2. When calls the heart was never a good depiction of the life of people living on the frontier (at that times) anyway so creators can easily avoid those changes.

  7. Looking forward to this new season of When Calls the Heart. I am excited for the Nathan and Elizabeth story, the always seemed to have more chemistry to me. Maybe it's their real life relationship carrying over. Also, so glad to see Erin's natural hair. I'm sure she's happy to be rid of the wig!

    1. Seeing her in that new hair style is really growing on me. It's cute on her. I bet Erin was tired of wearing a wig or hair extensions. The can be damaging for new hair growth and cause breakage.(Traction alopecia)

  9. I would be ok with Elizabeth choosing Nathan over Lucas but if it happened back in season 8 not now after 2 seasons she spent with Lucas. I don't understand how Lucas could fit in in this new season.

  10. I haven't watched a single episode (for perfectly good reasons), but what I'm hearing is being done to Lucas makes my blood BOIL! -Maria
