It's hard to believe it's already mid-September! It's nearly Autumn, children are back to schoolwork, it's Harvest Season on the farm, and there are only 99 Days until Christmas!

Have you done any shopping or list making, yet. I must say I have... just a little! I am hoping, as I do every year, to have all of the gift buying done early so I can enjoy the season's true meaning all the more!

I have been looking over the new Christmas Movies on DVD, and trying to decide which ones to add to our collection this year...

Dr Quinn Stars - Jane Seymour & Joe Lando Together Again!

Jane Seymour is filming a sequel to her 2008 Hallmark Channel Movie, Dear Prudence.

Her Dr Quinn Medicine Woman co-star, Joe Lando, who played her love interest and husband, Sully, will also star in this new Movie, being made for the Hallmark Movie Channel, titled: At Home With Prudence.
So, for all Dr. Quinn fans, it is the next best thing to a Dr Quinn TV Movie Reunion!

This new movie is currently in Production and will air on the Hallmark Movie Channel in Spring of 2011!

Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D - Christmas Movie

There is a New Christmas Movie rumored to be in the works titled "Holly, Jingles and Clyde 3D".

It will hit theaters in 2011. Two Main Disney stars are said to be in the film - The Suite Life of Zack and Cody's Ashley Tisdale and Hannah Montana's Jason Earles.

Here is the description from IMDB:


“Two bumbling elves, Jingles and Clyde, team up with Santa’s daughter Holly to try to help a Michigan family in danger of losing its Christmas-tree farm.”

There are a number of Disney stars rumored to be in the film!

PLOT:

The Town Christmas Forgot portrays a small mining town that's suffering after the mine has shut down. In the film, a Hallmark production, a family traveling for Christmas encounters a blizzard that forces them off course and into the run-down, forgotten Nowhere Town. This wealthy family is stranded in the town before Christmas and saves it from demise.

Just days before Christmas, Annie (Holly) and Charles (Roberts) Benson hit the road for a holiday ski trip with their two children, the materialistic Trish (Webster) and the quiet and introverted Nolan (Greco). Together, yet separate, each lives in a world of digital communication, satellite radio and cell phones. But when the family takes a short cut through back roads, contact with the outside world is lost, and when their SUV breaks down, they end up stuck in the rural burg of Nowhere.

The town is dying and Christmas is bleak for the locals who can only exchange inexpensive or homemade gifts. In spite of the town's depressed economy, Samantha "Sam" (Stephanie Belding, "Eureka"), the owner of the local cafe, lifts the town's spirits by organizing a Christmas Eve pageant, and enlists the Bensons' help. It is a chain reaction of enthusiasm as Annie lends her dancing skills, while Trish offers to help out with the rock band, and Nolan rounds up Santa Claus. With no outside distractions, the family learns that life "simply" is better. What began as a misfortunate event leaves an indelible lesson: being present in the lives of others is the best gift of the season. Now, holiday hope is everywhere.

Also Note: Lauren Holly's real life son, Azer Greco, plays her son Nolan in this movie!

A Family Affair: Joining Jane Seymour in this movie, is her real-life love, husband, James Keach and daughter, Katie Flynn.

PLOT:

This is a Sequel to the Hallmark Channel Movie - Dear Prudence. This is another mystery wrapped around the character of Prudence McCoy, a humorous, Martha Stewart-like TV personality, well known for her ingenious PruPointers™ program of homespun remedies for a variety of life’s little problems.

Prudence MacIntyre is asked to make changes to her successful television show when the network sends in new producers to revamp her image. To her surprise, one of the producers is an old flame, and the other is a seedy womanizer who enchants Prudence's daughter. With the help of her faithful sidekick Nigel, Prudence rekindles the love she thought she lost, protects her daughter from the wrong guy, and finds a way to keep her show right on track.

Movie Review:

For fans of Dr Quinn... I know it will be interesting and intriging for you to see Dr. Mike & Sully together again as a Couple... since Joe Lando, who played Jane Seymour's Husband and Love Interest on Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, also plays her love interest in Perfectly Prudence, as well!

This Movie is not recommended for young viewers, though. I truly don't think many would stick with the story, anyway. It's kind of slow moving at first. Jane Seymour's Daughter portrays her daughter in this, her acting is good, and of course, the two worked well together.

What I wasn't particularly fond of... repeated remarks of Prudence past steamy romance with Jack. The two were never married, by the way. However, the chemistry between their characters is undeniably strong - sparks fly!

Prudence (Jane Seymour) has a "Martha Stewart" type show and it is being taken over by new Producers... one of which, is Jack (Joe Lando), of course. They ask her to change her image and her show in ways she would never dream. One way is by adding a new co-host, who just happens to be a blonde-bimbo type... (with big hair and tight dresses) who we later learn - got her job because she is involved with the other producer, Michael. They are found together twice - once on a couch (kissing) and then later, on a picnic blanket in the woods.

At times, the show is somewhat cheesy, thrown in with some minor language, drinking, and then Prudence's boss, named Mister, shows up - he hits on Prudence, but she turns him down.... which is all the more funny because her boss, Mister, is portrayed by her real-life husband James Keach.

The show is wrapped up fairly quickly at the end....

SPOILER:

Mister, her boss, loves the show that Prudence and her crew produced. They didn't go with any of the new changes.

And, in the very last 30 seconds - Prudence reveals to Jack that Annie (a grown woman now) is also his daughter. He is calm and takes it all in too well - instantly forgiving Prudence, as they call for Annie two seconds later - deciding to tell her, too. It just seemed too fast, and yet, predictable!
