"This Thanksgiving Weekend, we have an ALL new Hallmark Hall of Fame Christmas movie world premiere! Details coming later this summer. We wanted *you* to be the first to know!"

Wow! So.... it looks like we can expect the *Hallmark Hall of Fame* movie to come during the 5 night Thanksgiving movie event, if they do it exactly as they did it last year! Will Candace Cameron Bure host all 5 nights again, or will it be somebody new? Only time will tell!!!

UPDATE: It's looking like there is also the strong possibility of this new Hallmark Hall of Fame (HHOF) movie premiering on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel. This has been hinted on social media. (Thank you Sherry for sharing this news with me!) It does make sense, after all, since HMM is promoted as the Network with the Gold Crown Christmas collection!

I'm just hoping those who don't have Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, won't be too disappointed and Hallmark will make this movie available on DVD soon after it's premiere, as they typically have done with other HHOF films.

The annual Chicago Thanksgiving Day parade has to cut costs, or it's going to be cancelled this year. When the city brings in consultant Henry Baldwin to analyze the books, he goes to toe to toe with parade manager Emily Rogers who thinks Henry only cares about dollars and cents and doesn't understand how much the parade means to the city. As parade day draws closer, Emily finds herself falling for the enemy while doing her best to make sure this year's production is a huge success.

Chicago native Emily Jones (Autumn Reeser) loves her city, and has dedicated her career to coordinating its beloved Thanksgiving Day parade every year. This year, Emily is hoping for a memorable holiday and anticipating a long-awaited proposal from her long-distance boyfriend Brian (Ben Cotton). Then, the parade director hires a wealthy development consultant, Henry Williams (Antonio Cupo), to analyze the finances of the parade and increase profits. Immediately writing Henry off as a privileged playboy, Emily worries he will ruin the joyful spirit of the parade, not knowing how much it means to the city like she does. As the two are forced to work together to pull off a successful production, Emily is determined to show Henry she’s in charge. But when Emily suffers a sudden setback, she starts to rely on Henry to help her through it, and suddenly realizes she might be falling for him.

Emily Jones, a lover of books, old buildings, and vintage clothing... is set on making the Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago “the best parade ever”. First, she must find the perfect Santa, who of course, always ends the parade, delighting children and grown-ups, alike... welcoming in the Christmas Season.

Standing in her way, is Henry Williams, a man of modern times, whose job it is to judge the parade and its efficiency for the city. This, of course, causes the two to bump heads as each one represents their side of how the parade should be.

From the start, Henry and Emily begin to think they have each other all figured out. Emily thinks Henry is a Player, who travels from city to city... and Henry thinks Emily is obsessed with the Parade and delusional to think that Brian, her MIA marine biologist boyfriend of 5 years will ever purpose marriage. Luckily for Emily, Henry is instead a true gentleman, and is there for her on her worst day ever... when Brian doesn’t purpose.

As they continue to work together on the Parade, they continue to run into each other - in and out of the office, learning more and more about each other along the way.

One of my favorite scenes is when Emily and Henry meet at the park to watch the Starlight Dancers practice their dancing for the parade. Before the dancers arrive, Henry turns to Emily and asks her if she owns any clothing from this decade. She unfolds then a touching story of her mother.

Just when Emily and Henry start to believe they are falling for each other... Gretchen, Henry’s ex-girlfriend shows up and Emily thinks she has been right about Henry all along. So... when Brian, Emily’s Ex, appears at her office and purposes to her in front of all of her co-workers, including Henry, Emily feels compelled then to accept.

Will they ever figure it all out? Will there actually be a Santa or Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade?

Past secrets will be revealed and you will enjoy every moment along the way until you find out.

This is truly a delightfully witty and remarkably romantic - Hallmark treasure!

There was so much chemistry – sparks flew!

The background music in the movie gave the perfect upbeat tempo to keep scenes floating seamlessly. Terrific casting with the entire cast, including Emily’s best friend Jackie. Henry, handsome and debonair, portrayed by actor, Antonio Cupo, reminded me of a modern day Cary Grant and Emily, stylish and quirky, portrayed by actress, Autumn Reeser, was like a modern day Audrey Hepburn.

In this movie we learn... Everything old is new again and things of the past should not be discarded, but cherished!

The Movie is so Fabulous ... Vintage, Modern, Romantic, Charming, Intriguing, and Captivating... You’ll be swept away!!!

I am So Thankful - He is the Reason for the Season!

It's the Monday before Thanksgiving! Is your Turkey thawing, yet?

I love to smell all the food baking. It's always such a precious time! What memories I have of childhood - watching my Mother make a batch of her famous well-loved yeast rolls the night before - and how we would be so excited the next morning to see how it would all rise in the big bowls. As we watched the Macy's Parade on Thanksgiving Morning, we would help Momma roll up those yeast rolls in warm melted butter. Our hands were all floury & sticky, but my, it was fun! I look forward to us all cooking together, again, this year!

Whether we are celebrating Thanksgiving this week or Christmas in a few more... Make wonderful Memories and Count your Blessings... one by one - and always remember Jesus is the Reason for all Seasons!

We put up our Christmas tree this weekend while watching The Night before The Night before Christmas on the Hallmark Channel. It was simple, sweet and fun... a nice little family fantasy Christmas Movie that everyone can watch together! Very similar, at times, to the movie, Santa Who?. I'll have to write a complete review soon! Anyway, we enjoyed it... so I hope you and your family will, too!





It is amazing how many new Christmas Movies there are this year on TV, especially from the Hallmark Channel. They are "the very best" when it comes to Holiday Programming! There are also new ones from Lifetime and ABC Family, and a new one premiering on the Gospel Music Channel I am excited about - titled "Christmas with a Capital C". It's a powerful film for Christians and it stars Ted McGinley from The Note. Check out the Christmas with a Capital C post for more details and be sure and watch the trailor video under the cast list. It's great!

Hallmark Channel Holiday Movies!

The newest press release from the Hallmark Channel - states that they will begin their Holiday Programming next Month with the premiere of Growing the Big One on October 23, 2010. (Press Release below.)

However, after looking at the pictures released from the Hallmark Channel, of the upcoming movie premiering this weekend, Fairfield Road, (premieres Saturday, Sept. 11th) there appears there will be a scene about Thanksgiving. The characters appear to be in a book shop or library setting, decorated with fall leaves, and dressed in Pilgrim hats, while reading a Thanksgiving story.

GOING FOR THE GOURD


Shannen Doherty ("Beverly Hills 90210," "Charmed") and co-star Kavan Smith ("Stargate: Atlantis") star in the film about a mismatched pair who start out trying to grow the world's biggest pumpkin and end up cultivating something much more evergreen in "Growing the Big One," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere, Saturday, October 23 (9 p.m. ET/PT, 8C). "Growing the Big One" is the first film to be harvested in the network's three-month countdown to the holidays, making Hallmark Channel the biggest holiday destination in television.


Radio DJ Emma Silver (Doherty) leads a chic city life in Seattle until she finds out her beloved grandfather has died. Traveling to his farm in quaint Valleyville, Washington to take care of the details, she is stunned to learn her grandfather has left her his farm, along with a sizable amount of debt. To keep the bank from foreclosing, Emma must find a way to raise the money, or face seeing her grandfather's precious land end up as a parking lot. Following her grandfather's famed legacy, Emma decides to enter Valleyville's annual pumpkin growing contest with his prized seeds and grow the world-record biggest gourd. If she can win the grand prize of $50,000, she can save the farm.


But farming isn't Emma's forte, and she soon realizes she has traded in the glamorous city lights to find herself knee-deep in manure. The pressure to win is even greater when the vicious new radio station manager, Kate (Sarah-Jane Redmond, "Smallville"), revamps Emma's show to include complete coverage from the pumpkin patch. Then, Emma's annoying neighbor, Seth (Smith), cons Emma into becoming partners to get a share of the prize money. But as the two spend the summer nurturing their pumpkin plants, they grow closer and a romance develops. Finally feeling at home, Emma begins to carve out a simpler life in the country, but her relationship with Seth is threatened when her radio show becomes a hit and she gets a job offer in New York. Will Emma be able to grow the biggest pumpkin and win the money to save her grandfather's farm, or is the greatest prize one she just can't put a price on?

Countdown to Thanksgiving - Hallmark Movies and More!

Now that it is officially November, the Countdown to Thanksgiving has begun! I know it's a special day for so many families! It's such a special time and gathering.... a day I hold so dear... especially the precious time that our family is all gathered around at the table and we all bow our heads to say grace to our Precious Lord for all our many blessings!

Also, I just wanted to share... that I added in the Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Thanksgiving Movies! So many wonderful movies to watch and they start from 12 NOON to 12 MIDNIGHT!
