πŸŽ„Happy 4 Months 'til Christmas!!! #CountdownToChristmas

πŸŽ„ Merry *Mark the 25th*! πŸŽ„

Can you believe it? On this August 25th, there are now only 4 months until December 25th, Christmas day, and the Christmas movie season will begin even sooner, of course, at the end of October!

Until then, we will still enjoy our Summer, while looking forward to Christmas, too! Here at *It's a Wonderful Movie* we each pick our own Christmas movie, cartoon, etc... to watch and celebrate the day. If you'd like to join in, please share your choice in comments below.

Christmas on TV today:

Hallmark Drama has two great classic family choices...

The Waltons - The Best Christmas at 2PM

Storyline: After having a number of failed Christmases over the years, Olivia wants to make certain that she makes the last Christmas that the entire family will be home for and spend together the best one ever at the Walton household.

Video Clip: (Spoiler Alert: this is the last scene of the episode!)

Little House on the Prairie - Blizzard at 7PM

Storyline: Miss Beadle delights her class by closing early for Christmas break because she wants them to get home before the coming snowstorm hits, but many children are caught in the blizzard and the townsmen search for them while the doctor treats frostbite.

Other Christmas TV Specials Today:

If you'd like to do a little Christmas shopping today, then check out QVC. All day long they will have their special Countdown to Christmas Sale! One of my personal favorites is Bethlehem Lights Seasonal Lighting.

My Christmas Movie Pick:

I decided my Christmas movie pick to *Mark the 25th* is the Great American Family movie: Much Ado About Christmas, which stars Susie Abromeit. I have this movie on my DVR, and thought it would be a fun re-watch before the premiere of Susie's new Great American Family movie this weekend, Love in Bloom!

Plus, I have great news!
is now available to order on DVD

Have a Merry Day, everyone!

5 All New Christmas Movies This Weekend! Be There for GAC Family's First Christmas Movie Launch!

It's a weekend filled with NEW Christmas movie premieres on Hallmark, but what I am most excited about it is the launch of Great American Christmas on GAC Family! The first All NEW Christmas movie for the network, Much Ado About Christmas, will premiere Saturday night, October 30th. The writers of this movie are Janeen and Michael Damian, who also wrote and directed: A Princess for Christmas, A Royal Christmas, Crown for Christmas, Christmas Waltz, and others. They are well-known for their wonderful, intricately detailed films, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing their incredible work here.

I also want to share some sad news. Both Michael Damian and actor Cameron Mathison just recently shared that their mothers have passed away. Let's be sure to keep both of these gentlemen and their families in our prayers. My heart goes out to all of them.

It's hard to believe it's the last weekend of October now, although, it's truly feeling like Fall for us in the Midwest with a nip in the air and the leaves turning those lovely rustic tones. I hope your weather is pleasant where you live. When it's chilly outside- it's the ideal time to stay inside and watch a Christmas movie or two. Here are the new ones premiering this weekend...

AN AUTUMN ROMANCE
Starring Jessica Lowndes & Chad Michael Murray

In "An Autumn Romance," when Seattle-based librarian Taylor Harris (Lowndes) suddenly loses her job, she travels to Montana to visit her brother Craig (Andres) and his wife Christine (Ogunsuyi) and quickly finds herself immersed in her brother's effort to save the Graff Hotel, which has been purchased by tech tycoon Joel Sheenan (Murray) and his associate, Ray Dixon (Brown). The town of Forest Ridge, Montana is split on Joel's decision to turn the once quaint hotel into an upscale property for tourists. To protect the hotel's charm and her brother's place of employment, Taylor goes on a search to find a significant historical event that will qualify the hotel for landmark status and prevent the City Council from issuing permits for its renovation. With the clock ticking, Taylor seizes on a photograph that has the potential to verify the property's historical value while also providing an invaluable piece of personal history to the hotel's new owner. Executive Producers of "An Autumn Romance" are Brad Krevoy, Chad Michael Murray, Jessica Lowndes, James Moorhouse, Susie Belzberg Krevoy, Bradley Walsh, Amanda Phillips, Amy Krell, and Eric Jarboe. Reviews:

🍁"That GAC one was (originally) called Tycoon's Kiss and I saw some of it on YouTube. It was family friendly from what I recall." Misty

🍁"Autumn Romance (aka Colors of Love) was good! It wasn’t too much of a fall movie, but the leaves were actually real! At least in the scene where she drives her car off the road. I especially enjoyed it because I am a history buff and that part of the story line was so different and intriguing. The perfect twist to an otherwise normal movie plot. The mixed couple was a bit strange, but I’d give this family-friendly movie a watch!" ~Anonymous

🍁"I watched Autumn Romance Saturday. Really felt and looked like fall. Really liked story line and characters had a good chemistry. Family friendly for sure. Especially liked the surprise at the end. Had the feeling of some of the older HMM Christmas endings. Just curious about historical reference as to actual event or just creative license." ~JoCo

🍁"An Autumn Romance was fun to watch. Loved seeing Jessica Lowndes and Chad Michael Murray together. I do love history along with surprises. This movie proved to be so much more interesting than I expected. I am looking forward to their Christmas movie! The mixed couple appeared to be added for no apparent reason, plus there isn't a lot of scenes with the two of them." ~kitkat

🍁"An Autumn Romance was a great start to original movies on GAC Family. I enjoyed the history part and the family relationships. Chad Michael Murray is definitely becoming a family movie staple." ~ Jennifer R

🍁"Autumn Romance" was family friendly and quite enjoyable in spite of the done-to-death plot. Chad Michael Murray made it worth watching. He was excellent, as always, and though Jessica Lowndes isn't one of my favorites, I felt they had good chemistry. The movie kept me engaged throughout." ~Amy Lama

🍁"I saw "Autumn Romance" and I really enjoyed it. The book that it is based off of, however, is not family friendly. I read a portion of it and then stopped. "Autumn Romance" has a more wholesome feel and while similar to the original book, it is quite different. Of the two family friendly movies I saw this weekend, I'd probably watch "Autumn Romance" a second time." ~Mary

🍁"An Autumn Romance is a festively fun, family-friendly fall-themed movie, an ideal movie launch for GAC Family! The setting was a beautiful farm - with all the lovely, rich fall colors changing their hue in the background. And if the beauty of nature wasn't enough, the entire town and the Harvest Ball were decorated with lots of faux leaf garland and autumn decor. Jessica Lowndes and Chad Michael Murray, once again (they also star together in Lifetime's "Too Close for Christmas"), have an excellent on screen connection, and I thoroughly enjoyed watching their cute glances and playful banter back and forth, as they disagreed over the tearing down of the old, Graff hotel. It's a wonderful story, with a delightful ending. This is one of those movies I look forward to watching over and over again!" ~Net

🍁"We really liked An Autumn Romance, the story and characters were all really good, like a lot of others here, I enjoyed the history aspect. We will definitely watch again next fall. -brother in Christ

Starring Dewshane Williams, Rukiya Bernard & Tom Pickett

In "Christmas Time Is Here," Nia Moore (Bernard), a successful small-town realtor, has her heart set on closing a big sale on a new resort for her client, Julian Parsons (Williams), just in time for Christmas. There is only one hitch. No matter how many properties in Pine Valley Nia shows Julian, he keeps coming back to the one resort that isn't for sale…the one belonging to Nia's widower dad, Patrick (Pickett). Patrick would like to sell the property and retire. It's Nia who cannot let go of memories of an idyllic time in life when her mom was still alive and very much a part of the resort. Julian realizes Nia's reluctance to sell the property, but it may not matter. Julian's impatient boss has come to Pine Valley intent on getting the deal done before Christmas. THREE CHRISTMAS MOVIES in the works for "When Calls the Heart" Producer and "A Princess for Christmas" Creators!

images: Hallmark Crown Media Family Networks

News has been reported via Deadline Hollywood, that Brad Krevoy Television (a division of Motion Picture Corporation of America and one of the Producers of "When Calls the Heart"), along with Michael and Janeen Damian (who are well known from the enchanting royal movie, "A Princess for Christmas" and the "High Strung" dance movies) will be developing this year, in 2020, THREE NEW CHRISTMAS MOVIES!

The titles for these films have been revealed: Much Ado About Christmas, Christmas in Transylvania and The Christmas Waltz! Since these movies are still in their early stages, please know it is possible any of these titles could change.

At this point, what can we glean from these titles alone? Well... each one already has a unique, interesting sound to it.

Much Ado About Christmas sounds, perhaps, Shakespearean. Could it possibly be an adaptation or new holiday take on Much Ado About Nothing?

Christmas in Transylvania sounds like a movie filled with mystery and adventure, possibly a new royal holiday romance filmed in Transylvania, Romania - just hopefully not in Dracula's castle!

Last, but not least, The Christmas Waltz sounds like a captivating film centered around the love of dance. And since the Damians are well known from their recent dance movies, this one sounds like an ideal theme coming from them.

Michael and Janeen Damian and Brad Krevoy - image via: BK TV

According to the article, Michael and Janeen Damian and Brad Krevoy previously collaborated on four Hallmark movies: A Princess for Christmas, A Royal Christmas, Crown For Christmas, and The Sweeter Side of Life.

I know many of us enjoyed those films and will look forward to seeing more news on these three new Christmas movies as they begin production on them this year!

If you're familiar at all with Michael Damian's music from the 80's, then you'll totally get my reference here when my response to these projects is... "Rock On!"

Hope you enjoyed this Christmas movie news!

Blessings on your day! Net
