Hallmark Movie Classics Available on Blu-Ray - starring Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar, Lacey Chabert and more!

I know. I know. Streaming is all the rage these days, but I still really like my DVDs. How 'bout you? For me, owning a movie on DVD is very similar to having books. It's something you can hold onto and build a tangible collection of. It can't disappear in some storage cloud somewhere. You can also share them with family and friends, plus wrap them up as gifts!

And while I admit, I do enjoy streaming movies and such, here and there, I'm grateful the production companies still take the time and energy to churn out these DVDs. And I must not be alone, right, or they wouldn't continue to sell them. Nevertheless, in spite of how much people stream, DVDs must still be a profitable industry.

Hallmark not only sells their popular movies on DVD, but some even get elevated to Blu-Ray status! Recently, Hallmark added these great classics below to their Blu-Ray editions, and I wanted to be certain you all were aware, in case you wanted to add them to your collection...

Storyline: After Avery’s (Chabert) storybook Christmas wedding is canceled unexpectedly, dance instructor Roman (Kemp) helps her rebuild her dreams.

Trailer:

Storyline: Lauren leaves everything behind in Boston for a new chapter in her life and career. On an unforeseen detour to the town of Grandon Falls, she discovers love and family, helping her embrace the magic of Christmas.

Trailer:

Storyline: Jenna, a former professional dancer, uses ballet to help a hockey player get back on the ice.

Trailer:

Storyline: Ally Craig has been fostering retired military dog, Sunshine, as she recovers from a broken engagement. But sparks fly again when Sunshine's military partner, Jake Terry, returns to claim the dog.

Storyline: A group of postal detectives work to solve the mysteries behind undeliverable letters and packages from the past, delivering them when they are needed most.

Sunday, August 1, 2021:

This next movie suggestion is not a new premiere; however, I missed sharing the original premiere date with you all back in April, so now that there are two encore showings coming up, I thought I would share these dates/times - in hopes that you might be able to catch one of them!

See the encore airing of...

Storyline: The owner of a quaint New Zealand yarn shop, Sophie Dale, gets her world flipped upside down after learning her top supplier of yarn, King Farms, is stopping production. Much to her surprise, the charming yet stuck-in-his-ways Samuel King has traveled all the way from New York to audit the business model of the farm. Desperate to keep her shop going, Sophie convinces Samuel to give her two weeks to learn the ropes of yarn spinning and raise enough money to buy the mill herself. With Samuel’s help, Sophie comes up with a fundraising plan to host a “knit-off” and auction at the local makers market. However, when the two weeks come to an end Sophie finds herself at the crossroads of business and romance. Could she have misinterpreted Samuels growing romantic interest in her as just business all along?

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend as we transition from July to August. It's been so hot here in the Midwest lately with high, sultry, tropical humidity. Being outdoors, therefore, has been less than enjoyable. This weekend, however, we are expecting milder temps and lower humidity, so I'm looking forward to enjoying some comfortable weather and outdoor activities. Hope your weather is pleasant, too!

As I mentioned above, it's going to be hard to say goodbye to Christmas in July on Saturday, but I'm hopeful we'll have many wonderful Christmas movies to look forward to this upcoming holiday season.

Please Note: I have not pre-screened the new movies above. If you'd like to share a review after the movies air, please share in comments. Thank you!

Blessings to you all, Net

SHINING HIS LIGHT:

The Parable of the Lost Sheep

10 “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven. 11 For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.

12 “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? 13 And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. 14 Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

~Matthew 18:10-14
