*Please note: the sixth movie in the "Fall Harvest" series is a new movie in the on-going Hallmark TV series starring Catherine Bell, James Denton, and Bailee Madison. Just so you know, I will not be promoting this Halloween film.

I am most excited, however, to cozy up this fall to the first 5 original movies Hallmark is airing from September 23rd - October 21st! They all sound so warm and inviting, which will surely be the perfect anecdote to autumn's chill!

I hope you've enjoyed this little preview and will join me in watching Hallmark's Fall Harvest!!!

Blessings, Net

cold and heat, summer and winter,
day and night will never cease.”

  2. Disappointed more of the movies aren't actually Halloween, or even Thanksgiving, based. I know they actually start in with Christmas Countdown even before Halloween, but past "Harvest" movies that actually focused on those holidays were definitely my favorites, for example October Kiss (2015) and A Family Thanksgiving (2010). Too bad Hallmark seems to be going towards ever more generic offerings for all but Christmas. Bummer.

    1. As someone who has strong feelings against Halliween, I'm glad for the generic fall movies. Though, I would like to see a Thanksgiving one.

    2. Yes, I would love to see more Thanksgiving movies, too! I just adore "Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade," (with Autumn Reeser and Antonio Cupo) which is never played nearly enough!!!

Thank you for sharing! Blessings, Net :)

  3. I know my comment doesn't relate to this post, but are you going to talk about the upcoming Christmas movies that were announced on Home & Family?

    1. I sure can. I saw the segment this morning on Home & Family. Holly Robinson Peete was their first guest today and she was there to talk about the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries 12 new Christmas movies, plus her new Hallmark mystery movie based on Al Roker's books - "The Midnight Show Murders," and she spoke of her family reality show coming to Hallmark, letting everyone know it wasn't going to be your typical reality type program, but an uplifting family show. So, they covered quite a bit in a short period of time.

As far as Christmas, they showed a promo video clip for HMM, but all of the movies shown in the clip were from last year or previous seasons. They did mention a few of the new titles by name and they showed movie posters for "A Bramble House Christmas" with Autumn Reeser and David Haydn-Jones decorating a Christmas tree, and "Engaging Father Christmas" with Erin Krakow and Niall Matter riding in a sleigh!

They also mentioned there will be a Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Holiday Preview, happening October 21st at 10pm/9c -on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, of course!

It was previously mentioned (at Hallmark's TCA event) that Candace Cameron Bure would be doing a preview special for the Hallmark Channel. Perhaps, more details on that will be given as Lacey Chabert reveals the Hallmark Channel's Countdown to Christmas movies tomorrow on Home & Family!

  4. Absolutely thrilled to see Jill Wagner back.

I really loved her in both Autumn Dreams and Christmas Cookies.

However I'm confused by the Fall Harvest Preview Video. In it they show a clip of Sam Page and Sarah Rafferty but this doesn't appear to relate to any of the above.

    1. I know just what you mean! Interestingly enough Hallmark often throws in little clips in their commercials from movies that don't always relate to a season. Sometimes it's a clue and other times it doesn't mean anything at all! :)

  6. Hi Net,

    1. Welcome, Sarah, to “It’s a Wonderful Movie!” I’m so thrilled you found my site and I appreciate your comment!

To answer your question... I have chosen over the years not to watch “Good Witch” on Hallmark based on my own personal religious beliefs and convictions. As a Christian, I try my best to live my life according to God’s word, and in the Bible (Isaiah 5:20 ) God warns us of "calling evil good and good evil", and portraying witches as "good"- I feel is simply wrong. That is my own personal firmly held belief.

When I have shared this on my site before, an Anonymous commenter also shared these relevant verses from Deuteronomy 18:9–12: “When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who… practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD…”

I know this is an individual personal decision for all of us. For myself, and my family, we have chosen not to open ourselves up to that world.

Again, I appreciate you commenting & asking, Sarah… and I’m so glad you found my site! Welcome in! We saved a seat on movie night just for you!!!

      Blessings on your day, Net

    2. Thank you Net. I am a Christian as well so I know where you are coming from. I quite frankly don't like halloween, and that show hasn't piqued my interest in the slightest. I started to really get in to the Hallmark Christmas Movies 2 years ago- My favorite one is Christmas Magic- I just adore that one. But anyway, I found this website a couple of weeks ago and I am hooked! Lol. I will definitely will be commenting more.

      Have a great blessed night!
      Sarah

    1. I don't mind you asking, at all. I choose not to watch "Good Witch" due to my own personal religious beliefs and convictions. Please see my comment above to Sarah, as it more thoroughly explains my decision.

Thank you for visiting my site and commenting! I hope you enjoy all the family movies! Blessings to you, Net

    2. Thank you for responding, although not brought up in a particularly religious household I respect every person has their own beliefs and appreciate why you have chosen not to promote a show that goes against these beliefs. Also I love your site I check almost everyday to keep up to date on any movie news, thanks for all the hard work.

Any idea who the leading man on A Harvest Wedding? Hope it'll be Colin Egglesfield. Jill and Colin did a fantastic job in Autumn Dreams.

  10. I cant wait for Falling for Vermont, this looks like my kind of Fall Harvest Movie!!!!! I have been rewatching Autumn Dreams, Harvest Moon, and October Kiss this week to get in the spirit. The 1st year of Fall Harvest were my favorite, last years didn't do it for me, although Autumn in the Vineyard grew on me as I love Rachel Leigh Cook. Here's to Saturday and cant wait to see Poppy Summerall on TV for anyone who hasn't saw October Kiss, I hope it becomes your favorite.
