  2. I know they aren't planning to air Season 1 before the return of Season 2, but I do hope they are planning some sort of review at the beginning for those who either have seen them, but it's been awhile, or for those who aren't familiar with the story. I've been telling everybody about it and most seem interested, but they aren't sure they will be able to follow what is going on without having first seen season one. With that said, please pass along that it would be a good idea to do a review of Season one at the beginning. Thank you, Rachel

    1. That is an excellent idea. I hope they plan to do a highlight recap of season 1, as well. I know some fans have been keeping up by re-watching episodes, but like you said, others may need a reminder, and of course, we want to bring in more viewers, too, and they will need an introduction to the main characters. I will do my best to pass this along to Hallmark.

  3. I know it took a great deal of effort from the group of Hearties on Facebook and Twitter to get this show renewed. I'm not sure why since it has excellent storytelling and ratings, but it's great the powers that be at Hallmark listened and we all get to see it return to the Hallmark Channel this spring.

    1. You said it! It was certainly a great effort and I'm so grateful for everyone who was a part of encouraging the Hallmark Channel to bring it back, and I know we are all grateful to Hallmark for listening to their very supportive viewers.

  4. This is an excellent show. My husband enjoys it, too. It's been far too long since it was on. I wish that they would show season one, again, before the next season starts.

    1. Yes, it is an excellent show for everyone, certainly a rarity in todays world! I agree, it has been too long, but the wait will be over soon!

I wish they could show season 1, too... but unfortunately, it has been confirmed that the Hallmark Channel won't be showing season 1 re-runs, before the Season 2 premiere. My guess is it's probably due to DVD rights.

So glad both you & your husband enjoy it!

  5. Net, is James Brolin going to become one of the regular cast members this year? I did see him at the end of the season finale last year...didn't I?

    1. That is a great question, Linda. I haven't heard anything about James Brolin's character, but he was involved in the mine investigation, so I would think he would be important to continue in this new season.... Hmmmm??? I wonder if anyone else has heard?
