New TV Movies and Marathons this weekend, including "The Wedding Veil," "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," and More πŸ“© See Here:

NEW Movies are premiering this weekend, along with THREE terrific Movie Marathons, including one of my favorites (and possibly yours, too!), the beloved series, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered!"

See all the details below...

Saturday, January 21, 2023:

Storyline: In the third movie of the sequel trilogy, Tracy (Sweeney) is now head of the auction house and Nick’s (Webster) restaurant is such a success, he’s looking at expanding. Their success comes at a cost, however, as it gives them little time to see each other. The couple agree to make time for their long-overdue honeymoon. They head to Greece as it’s the perfect place to relax and sightsee. When a travel delay costs the couple their hotel room, they get the opportunity to stay on a remote island nearby. Is it possible the veil is once again working its magic and bringing them exactly where they need to be?

Premieres Saturday, January 21, 2023
at 8pm/7c. on the Hallmark Channel

Sunday, January 22, 2023:

Storyline: Audrey Harper heads to Hope Cove to write about the anonymous Ask Aunt Hope, a love advice column and a mainstay of the town’s local newspaper. There, she meets the charming and handsome Editor-in-Chief Morgan Cooper, who helps her uncover the true identity of “Aunt Hope.”

Premieres Sunday, January 22, 2023
at 7pm/6c. on UPtv

Movie Reviews:

πŸ’• "Extra! Extra! Read All About It! "The Clue to Love" is such a cute rom-com with charming banter that revolves around a newspaper business and stars Rachel Bles (“Cooking Up Love”) as Audrey Harper and Travis Milne (who I just loved as Charlie Baker in “A Gift Wrapped Christmas”) as Morgan Cooper. Both are newspaper reporters; however, Audrey is learning to write her stories with a little more heart, as Morgan, the Editor in Chief, has shown in his award-winning articles. As Audrey shadows Morgan at the Hope Cove Beacon Newspaper, she discovers the identity of the person who writes the infamous local advice column, Ask Aunt Hope, is a secret, and she is determined to figure out who the person is. Morgan and Audrey have wonderful chemistry together, and there’s some interesting tension at the newspaper on whether or not Morgan’s father will sell the family business. Plus, Morgan is beginning to wonder if he can trust Audrey, since she is connected with the big city newspaper that wants to purchase Hope Cove’s small town paper. Overall, here’s my exclusive scoop… "The Clue to Love" is a charming story with a little bit of mystery and heartfelt moments. I do have to caution that there is one brief comment from a male co-worker near the beginning of the movie about his husband. I believe that is the only time this is mentioned." ~Net

πŸ’• "The Clue to Love - There was a comment at the 13 minute mark where a guy says that "our surrogate has gone into labour" and then "my husband....". Other than that comment, the rest of the movie is family friendly." ~Karen

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! If your weather is getting colder, like ours here in the Midwest, keep warm, everyone, and hopefully, you can snuggle up under a cozy blanket and enjoy one of these movies (or more!) this weekend. My #1 recommendation is the Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies that are filled with heartwarming stories, love, friendships, and incredible lost-letter mysteries, that often take a lot of determination and faith to complete.

I'm also looking forward to this last Wedding Veil movie, hoping it is also a good one, like the previous five (mostly). It looks like it will be fun to see the three best friends vacationing together again, this time in Greece.

I have pre-screened the new UPtv movie, The Clue to Love. It is such a cute movie, and I like both of the leads very much, but there was one brief comment of caution. Please be sure to read my and Karen's reviews above.

Unfortunately, there isn't a new movie on Great American Family this weekend; however, the network will still be airing rom-coms from 12pm-10pm on Saturday and a marathon of Columbo mysteries on Sunday.

Plus, Hallmark Drama will have their own marathon on Sunday with the family series, The Waltons.

Are there one or more movies (or marathons) you are looking forward to seeing this weekend? Be sure to share in the comments below.

Please Note: I haven't pre-screened the new Wedding Veil movie. If you'd like to post a review on whether this film is family-friendly, please share in comments. Thank you so much to those of you who take the time to share.

Disclaimer: Please know when I share a movie, this is NOT an endorsement of any of the actors involved, personally or professionally, with their other TV/film projects.

Happy movie-watching!

Blessings to you all, Net

🌟 UPtv's New JANUARY 2023 TV Movie Premieres! πŸ’• SEE HERE:

UPtv will be premiering 3 romantic-comedy movie premieres - coming in January 2023!

See all the details below...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The Princess and the Bodyguard

Original Air Date: January 15, 2023

Starring: Emily Alatalo, Ryan Bruce, Marcus Craig

Storyline: On her 35th birthday, Lexi discovers who she secretly always was... a royal Princess. She now has two weeks to find a suitable date for the royal gala under the watchful eye of her handsome but infuriating bodyguard, Noah.

Movie Review:

πŸ’• Awww, The Princess and the Bodyguard is such a sweet movie!! –Maria

πŸ’• The Princess and the Bodyguard – This movie started out a little slow for me, but it picked it up as more characters were introduced. Lexi (the princess) is torn between her normal life (working in New York and living with a roommate, who doesn’t know her royal identity) and choosing whether or not she will accept her place back home in her country, Santovia, as royalty. It’s interesting to see Lexi deal with this challenge in her life and how to tell her best friend. I also thought it was a nice touch to the story to see how Noah (the bodyguard) took care of his younger brother, who is in a wheelchair. That showed that his character had empathy for others in the way that he looked after him. The Princess and the Bodyguard ended up being a rather sweet love story; plus, from what I recall, it is family-friendly. ~Net

πŸ’• Watched the Princess and the Bodyguard. It was cute and cheesy, but fun. Could do without the yoga though. ~Abigail

Finding Love in San Antonio

Original Air Date: January 29, 2023

Starring: Valentina Izarra, George Akram, Isabella Rivera-Gandulla

Storyline: A successful Los Angeles TV chef is offered a new network series that will send her traveling around Europe, but her young daughter's heart is in San Antonio, Texas, and the restaurant where she got her start is struggling.

Movie Review:

πŸ’• "Finding Love in San Antonio - Family friendly movie. I noticed a comment saying it was about a single mom. I just wanted to let people know that she is a single mom because her husband has died." ~Karen

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

UPtv will also be airing the British TV Series, Wild at Heart, beginning Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8:30PM ET. The series originally aired from 2006 to 2013. I am not familiar with this show; however, I did notice IMDB gave it a TV-14 rating.

A Country Romance

Original Air Date: October 2, 2022

Starring: Alix Angelis and Jonathan Bennett

Storyline: When Sarah Kress learns her family’s vineyard is up for sale, she leaves her busy urban life and visits her hometown to help with the sale and have her last harvest. With the help of handsome neighbor Gabe, huge challenge becomes fun as she and Gabe fall in love. But when the job is done, Sarah must decide whether to return to her fast-paced life or follow her heart.

Movie Review:

🍁 "I see UP has definitely listed A Country Romance on their site for next Sunday. The reviews for it aren't that good but it's a typical Rom.Com with a familiar plot and although the pace is quite gentle I personally rather enjoyed it, my interest kept until the end. There were a couple of interesting side plots in it. The movie is family friendly but I read a post recently which said they hadn't realise Luke McFarlane was gay and they now wouldn't be watching any more of his movies. For anyone here who doesn't know Jonathan Bennett is openly gay so you can make your own mind up whether you would wish to watch this" - Florence

🍁 "A Country Romance was very cozy." :) -Maria

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

Infamously in Love

Original Air Date: October 9, 2022

Starring: Jennifer Freeman and Adam Huss

Storyline: A frustratingly micromanaged popstar who dreams of the “ordinary” that life has to offer finds herself torn between her celebrity ex, the machinations of her controlling manager, and a developing romance with a down-to-earth record store owner. Will she gain more autonomy over her life – especially her love life – and start making decisions for herself, or will the celebrity machine be too powerful for her to ever feel even remotely normal?

Movie Review:

πŸ’• "Infamously in Love was very nice!" -Maria

πŸ’• "Maria, I watched the first 15 minutes and wasn't sure about it with the whole purple hair and concert stuff. Did it get better after that, cause the intro was kinda rough? Plus, asking that random guy to kiss her to make her ex mad or something was a bit off to me. I'm sure it got better from there, but my, that beginning." ~Net

πŸ’• "It got better from there." -Maria

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

Love in Wolf Creek

Original Air Date: October 16, 2022

Starring: Tim Rozon and Nola Martin

Storyline: Sam sets out to save a pack of wild wolves and a conservation refuge with the help of the town's handsome newcomer.

🍁 "Love in Wolf Creek is a little intense, but still so good!" –Maria

Star-Crossed Romance

Previously Known As: A Playful Love

Original Air Date: October 23, 2022

Starring: Aliyah O'Brien, Andrew Zachar, and Corina Bradley

Storyline: After a disagreement between her son and another student, single-mother Piper is teamed up with that student’s handsome single-father to stage the school play, Romeo and Juliet. Piper must get past her ego, face her feelings, and figure out how to operate a hot-glue gun – all before opening night!

Movie Review:

🌟 "Star-Crossed Romance is mostly family-friendly, with a few cautions... God's name is used in vain, at least twice, and the drama teacher, who is one of the side characters, acts VERY, VERY Strange. He has a fairly large stomach and he often rubs it and rolls around to get on the stage. My eyebrows were raised more than a few times. The chemistry between the leads was lacking, in my opinion, and some of the acting was sub-par. I never quite understood why the parents were punished to work on the school play's set after their children, who are portraying a modern (very odd) re-telling of Romeo and Juliet, got in a fight. Near the end, there was a nice moment when the two single parents and their children enjoy a family dinner, but even that was spoiled when Piper, the mother, asks if they say grace, and the father and daughter, say “yeah,” and they simply say “grace” loudly in unison. They all laugh and begin to eat. So… praying is essentially laughed at. I could go on, but I'll just say it has a happy ending where family is put first before work, but the movie is definitely not a keeper for me." ~Net

🌟 "I watched Star-Crossed Romance and agreed with all your comments. While it had some cute moments, it was a strange mishmash overall. That drama teacher was so odd and kind of creepy. And the rather gothic vibe of their Romeo and Juliet production bothered me, especially the big red glowing crosses at the end which seemed very gothic. And the makeup on her son bothered me, as again it seemed very gothic. I wouldn’t recommend this one for kids, and regret watching it myself." ~Deborah

Squeaky Clean Mysteries: Hazardous Duty

Original Air Date: October 30, 2022

Starring: Jessica Blackmore, Jamie Roy, and Kristi Murdock

When a routine cleaning job uncovers a murder weapon the police overlooked, Gabby realizes that the wrong person is in jail. With the help of her neighbor, Riley, Gabby plays detective. But can Riley help her before another murder occurs?

Movie Review:

πŸ”Ž "I streamed this movie through Pureflix, which may or may not have edited some of the content. What I saw was a mystery fairly equivalent to any Hallmark Movies & Mysteries type film. The actress who played Gabby's best friend was really perky and fun throughout the movie. Also, the mystery part of the movie was intriguing and the romance part was sweet." ~Net

πŸ”Ž "Squeaky Clean Mysteries was pretty compelling. Looking forward to digging into UP TV's new Christmas movies this weekend!" -Maria

Net's Movie Reviews - God's Not Dead: We the People and The Clue to Love! See Here:

Today I want to share with you all my take on two movies I watched with my family through the Christian streaming service Pureflix.

The first movie is "God's Not Dead: We the People." When Pureflix had a limited viewing of this movie last year in November, I was able to watch then, but with all the excitement around Christmas, I didn’t get a chance to share a review. However, I recently noticed, the movie returned this March to Pureflix, so I gave it a re-watch and decided this was a great time to finally share my thoughts.

"God's Not Dead: We the People"

Before I share my review (below), if you don’t have Pureflix, you’ll be happy to know that "God's Not Dead: We the People" is available to watch through Prime Video, and it's also available on DVD at Amazon, Walmart, etc…

You can also find this movie in a 4 movie DVD collection, which includes all of the "God's Not Dead" films. (By the way, the second movie in the series stars Melissa Joan Hart ("Mistletoe in Montana," "Dear Christmas") and Jesse Metcalfe ("Martha's Vineyard Mysteries," "Harmony from the Heart"), and it is an excellent, uplifting story!)

In addition to "God's Not Dead: We the People," I recently viewed another movie on Pureflix that might be of interest to many of you. The movie is a lighthearted rom-com titled "The Clue to Love". It’s from the production company Reel One Entertainment, which is where UPtv acquires many of their new movie premieres. Hopefully, they will acquire this one day, but until then, "The Clue to Love" is available to stream through Pureflix and Prime Video; plus, it is available on DVD, as well, at Amazon, Walmart, etc…

See my reviews for both of these movies below…

"God's Not Dead: We the People"

God’s Not Dead: We the People - Movie Review

Intense! Powerful! Uplifting! “God’s Not Dead: We the People” (the fourth film in the “God’s Not Dead” series) is an inspirational Christian film about standing up for our religious rights. Specifically in this film, homeschool parents are targeted for teaching the Bible in their homes and not the standard curriculum taught in public schools. It was incredibly moving to see this group of parents and their pastor, Reverend David Hill, (portrayed by actor/producer, David A.R. White) stand up for their beliefs and take their case all the way to Washington, D.C. I believe this movie will embolden you in your faith, encourage you in your commitment to stand on God’s Word, and invigorate you in your strength to fight for your freedom, no matter the cost.

The movie also had a wonderful cast, with Christian singer, Francesca Battistelli, as Rebecca McKinnon, one of the main homeschool parents, actor Antonio Sabato Jr., as Rebecca’s incredibly supportive husband, actor Isaiah Washington, as Congressman Daryl Smith, who helps to defend religious liberties, and Fox News host, Judge Jeanine Pirro was truly dynamic as Judge Neely, whose role was pivotal to the entire film.

Another beautiful touch to this impactful film, were the meaningful and heartwarming flashbacks to previous “God’s Not Dead” movies. The moral of the story is... how far are you willing to go to stand up for your beliefs? “God’s Not Dead: We the People” is family friendly – a perfect movie for believers, churches, homeschool families, youth groups, etc... This film is a perfect reminder of how fragile our freedoms are, and that message is even more meaningful in the world we live in today.

~Net, It's a Wonderful Movie

The Clue to Love - Movie Review
(Note: I watched "The Clue to Love" through Pureflix)

Extra! Extra! Read All About It! "The Clue to Love" is such a cute family friendly rom-com with charming banter that revolves around a newspaper business and stars Rachel Bles (“Cooking Up Love”) as Audrey Harper and Travis Milne (who I just loved as Charlie Baker in “A Gift Wrapped Christmas”) as Morgan Cooper. Both are newspaper reporters; however, Audrey is learning to write her stories with a little more heart, as Morgan, the Editor in Chief, has shown in his award winning articles. Overall, here’s my exclusive scoop… "The Clue to Love" is a very sweet story, with a little bit of mystery and heartfelt moments. I hope to see it on UPtv some day!

~Net, It's a Wonderful Movie

Where you can see...

Stream through: Pureflix or Prime Video
DVD: Amazon or Walmart

Note: I noticed Amazon has this movie rated as TV-14 and I can't imagine why. I personally didn't see any content that required this rating when I watched this movie through Pureflix, and to my knowledge, the movie was not edited in any way. In fact, I checked the time on the DVD versus the time of the movie at Pureflix, and it was actually a few minutes longer at Pureflix. So, that rating makes no sense to me at all. What I saw was a decent, lighthearted movie.

UPDATE - Another Movie Review:

"The Clue to Love that was shown in Canada had a man making a comment about his Husband not letting him see their baby. It was fairly close to the beginning when Rachel Bles is having a meeting with the people at the newspaper. It shows the guy answering his cell phone talking about the surrogate about to have the baby and then he makes the comment about his husband. The US version must have removed that comment." ~Anonymous

*Note #2: I spoke to Pureflix and they said some of the movies are edited by the companies before they are submitted to Pureflix. So... the version I watched must have been edited. Please know, I'm not sure what is on the DVD.

I sincerely hope you enjoyed reading my reviews for both of these movies.

Blessings to you all, Net
