Details: The Way Home is a family drama following the lives of three generations of women -- Kat Landry (Leigh), her 15-year-old daughter, Alice (Laflamme-Snow), and Kat’s mother, Del (MacDowell), who are all strong, willful and independent. More than 20 years prior, life-changing events prompted Kat to move away from her small Canadian farm town of Port Haven, and she remains estranged from Del to this day. Alice has never met her grandmother and is unaware of the reasons for their fractured family. With Kat’s marriage coming to an end and having just been laid off from her job, she decides to return home after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to come back. Although Alice is not thrilled, Kat and her daughter arrive at her family’s farm -- and the reunion isn’t what Kat had envisioned. As the three generations of women slowly work on finding their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening journey none of them could have imagined as they learn how to find their way back to each other.

My movie thoughts and more...

Once again, I'm hoping this all-new Wedding Veil movie will be a good one, but we'll see.

Also, I'm hoping Great American Family's new premiere, From Chicago with Love, and UPtv's The Princess and the Bodyguard will both be cute.

Is anyone here planning on checking out the new Hallmark series, The Way Home? I've decided I'll be skipping this one; I just don't want to get involved in another series at this point, but I'm curious to hear what you all think. Also, I won't be doing weekly reminders (after this one) for The Way Home, but please feel free any time to share your thoughts on this series throughout the first season.

Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is having a romantic movie marathon on Saturday with these movies: The Presence of Love, The Vows We Keep, Always Amore, and more.

Be sure to share in the comments below what you are looking forward to seeing this weekend.

Please Note: I haven't pre-screened the new movies. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in comments. Thank you so much to those of you who participate in this.

Disclaimer: Please know when I share a movie, this is NOT an endorsement of any of the actors involved, personally or professionally, with their other TV/film projects.

Happy movie-watching!

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Blessings, Net

🌟 UPtv's New JANUARY 2023 TV Movie Premieres! 💕 SEE HERE:

UPtv will be premiering 3 romantic-comedy movie premieres - coming in January 2023!

See all the details below...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The Princess and the Bodyguard

Original Air Date: January 15, 2023

Starring: Emily Alatalo, Ryan Bruce, Marcus Craig

Storyline: On her 35th birthday, Lexi discovers who she secretly always was... a royal Princess. She now has two weeks to find a suitable date for the royal gala under the watchful eye of her handsome but infuriating bodyguard, Noah.

Movie Review:

💕 Awww, The Princess and the Bodyguard is such a sweet movie!! –Maria

💕 The Princess and the Bodyguard – This movie started out a little slow for me, but it picked it up as more characters were introduced. Lexi (the princess) is torn between her normal life (working in New York and living with a roommate, who doesn’t know her royal identity) and choosing whether or not she will accept her place back home in her country, Santovia, as royalty. It’s interesting to see Lexi deal with this challenge in her life and how to tell her best friend. I also thought it was a nice touch to the story to see how Noah (the bodyguard) took care of his younger brother, who is in a wheelchair. That showed that his character had empathy for others in the way that he looked after him. The Princess and the Bodyguard ended up being a rather sweet love story; plus, from what I recall, it is family-friendly. ~Net

💕 Watched the Princess and the Bodyguard. It was cute and cheesy, but fun. Could do without the yoga though. ~Abigail

The Clue to Love

Original Air Date: January 22, 2023

Starring: Rachel Bles and Travis Milne

Storyline: Audrey Harper heads to Hope Cove to write about the anonymous Ask Aunt Hope, a love advice column and a mainstay of the town’s local newspaper. There, she meets the charming and handsome Editor-in-Chief Morgan Cooper, who helps her uncover the true identity of “Aunt Hope.”

Movie Review:

💕 "Extra! Extra! Read All About It! "The Clue to Love" is such a cute rom-com with charming banter that revolves around a newspaper business and stars Rachel Bles (“Cooking Up Love”) as Audrey Harper and Travis Milne (who I just loved as Charlie Baker in “A Gift Wrapped Christmas”) as Morgan Cooper. Both are newspaper reporters; however, Audrey is learning to write her stories with a little more heart, as Morgan, the Editor in Chief, has shown in his award winning articles. As Audrey shadows Morgan at the Hope Cove Beacon Newspaper, she discovers the identity of the person who writes the infamous local advice column, Ask Aunt Hope, is a secret and she is determined to figure out who the person is. Morgan and Audrey have wonderful chemistry together, and there’s some interesting tension at the newspaper on whether or not Morgan’s father will sell the family business. Plus, Morgan is beginning to wonder if he can trust Audrey, since she is connected with the big city newspaper that wants to purchase Hope Cove’s small town paper. Overall, here’s my exclusive scoop… "The Clue to Love" is a very sweet story, with a little bit of mystery and heartfelt moments. I do have to caution that there is one brief comment from a male co-worker near the beginning of the movie about his husband. I believe that is the only time this is mentioned." ~Net

💕 "I have seen The Clue to Love as well as Finding Love in San Antonio. The Clue to Love - There was a comment at the 13 minute mark where a guy says that "our surrogate has gone into labour" and then "my husband....". Other than that comment, the rest of the movie is family friendly." ~Karen

Finding Love in San Antonio

Original Air Date: January 29, 2023

Starring: Valentina Izarra, George Akram, Isabella Rivera-Gandulla

Storyline: A successful Los Angeles TV chef is offered a new network series that will send her traveling around Europe, but her young daughter's heart is in San Antonio, Texas, and the restaurant where she got her start is struggling.

Movie Review:

💕 "Finding Love in San Antonio - Family friendly movie. I noticed a comment saying it was about a single mom. I just wanted to let people know that she is a single mom because her husband has died." ~Karen

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

UPtv will also be airing the British TV Series, Wild at Heart, beginning Thursday, Jan. 26 at 8:30PM ET. The series originally aired from 2006 to 2013. I am not familiar with this show; however, I did notice IMDB gave it a TV-14 rating.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I hope you find a movie or two on UPtv in the New Year that you will enjoy.
