πŸŽ„ Lifetime Announces "Ladies of the 80’s: A Divas Christmas"

Today Lifetime announces one of their Christmas movies to premiere this 2023 Christmas movie season, Ladies of the 80’s: A Divas Christmas.

If you watched TV during the 80's or you've watched reruns from that time, then you'll surely recognize these ladies and names... Loni Anderson (WKRP in Cincinnati), Morgan Fairchild (Falcon Crest), Linda Gray (Dallas), and Donna Mills and Nicollette Sheridan (both from Knots Landing).

According to Lifetime's press release, "In Ladies of the '80s: A Divas Christmas, five glamorous soap opera actresses reunite to share the spotlight to shoot the final Christmas episode of their long-running soap opera. The producer, Alex (Travis Burns) and director Nell (Taylor Ann Thompson), who happen to be old college friends, do their best to keep things on the rails but as the ladies come together, old rivalries resurface that threaten to tear the whole production apart. With the show nearly canceled before it even begins due to the ladies' famous diva behavior, they reluctantly agree to set aside their differences and past secrets to "act" as if they all still love each other. When old sparks reignite between Alex and Nell, the ladies become eager to play cupid and conspire to bring the couple together. Along the way, the divas also discover that the love between them all is still very strong too."

Cast members also include:
Taylor Ann Thompson and Travis Burns

Lifetime is reporting... "an airdate will be announced (for Ladies of the 80’s: A Divas Christmas) in the coming weeks, along with the rest of the channel’s It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday movie slate. So stay tuned!

May your Day be Merry & Bright!

Jane Austen fans will love seeing Notable Austen Character in Hallmark Channel Movie

I could reveal the answer right away - as to who he is... but I think it would be more fun to see who can guess the right answer first!

Here's a Photo of him in the new Hallmark Channel Romantic Comedy Movie, Honeymoon for One:

And, here's a photo of him, from a favorite Jane Austen film:

5 Questions:

Who is this Actor?

What Jane Austen Movie is he famous for?

What character did he portray?

Which popular Jane Austen Actress, is his real-life wife?

Which Jane Austen Character is she famous for?

Check the Family Schedule to see when this movie is airing on the Hallmark Channel.

See the Honeymoon for One Page for more details - cast list, pictures, plot, etc...

JANE AUSTEN BLOGS, etc...

I must also mention... there are truly some really wonderful Jane Austen Blogs out there that I just love! I shall mention & limit myself to only 3! (which, as Emma must agree... "shall be very difficult, indeed!")

One of these blogs is actually having a Jane Austen week - this week! - so it's quite appropriate that the week will end with a Jane Austen character in a new movie! She has been asking terrific Jane Austen questions all week - and I 've enjoyed reading every post! Her Austen images are always a delight to see!

Here's the Blog, you must see!: Elegance of Fashion

Also, I adore...
another Jane Austen / Period Movie Blog: Old-Fashioned Charm

She always makes her page layouts and everything - quite lovely! I look forward always to seeing what she creates next!

Old-Fashioned Charm

And, last... but certainly Not least! Enchanted Serenity of Period Films

This is such a beautiful blog - so informative on all kinds of period films - Jane Austen and much, much more!!! I always enjoy it emmensely!

Honeymoon for One - Hallmark Channel Movie

MOVIE REVIEW

Honeymoon for One

Network: Hallmark Channel

Original Air Date: August 13, 2011

CAST:

Nicollette Sheridan ... Eve Parker
Greg Wise ... Sean
Patrick Baladi ... Greg
Katie Bannon ... Kathleen

PLOT:

An ambitious advertising executive finds out her fiancΓ© is cheating on her just days before their wedding. She calls things off, but decides to embark on their honeymoon to Ireland solo, where she meets a simple Irishman who shows her love doesn’t have to be complicated.

Movie Review:

This was a fairly predictable and fairly decent Romantic Comedy. Any fans of Nicollette Sheridan should enjoy it - as she is in nearly every scene!

As far as being decent - well, the only minor thing was the implication that she and her fiance are living with one another. Otherwise, there were no improper situations. Eve is on the phone in her bathroom and her boyfriend is on the phone in his bathroom, talking to one another- then they both, still on the phone, meet each other at the front door.

Eve discovers, before their wedding, that her fiance is cheating on her - so of course, the wedding is off and she eventually decides to go on their Honeymoon alone - where she meets a handsome Irishman. Instantly they are attracted to one another and become attached, yet, she will be going home and he is a single father, not sure of opening himself up to relationships and busy trying to protect their homeland of redevelopment projects that would ruin the local inn, other businesses, and the nature around them.

It is a Hallmark Movie, after all... so of course there is a predictable happy ending - they fall in love and the land is saved! Very sappy, but sweet... a happy love story!
