Dear Friends, Here we come to another weekend. Like many of you I've been watching the latest news on TV as coronavirus numbers go up and down. I keep praying cases will decrease so life will able to return to some normalcy. I wear my face mask when I'm in a public place - to protect myself, my family and those around me, but I sure miss smiling at people and seeing their expression back. I hope when things are normal again - we won't lose that friendliness.

Again, I want to thank all of you for your prayers for those in my family who have the virus. I hear they are getting better each day, which is, of course, a great blessing! My heart and prayers go out to those who lost loved ones through all of this. I cannot imagine.

I also want to share that I am fully aware of the latest news coming out with Hallmark and their desire to have more inclusivity with their movies. I know many of you here share my concern on their willingness to produce movies that include same sex couples. This is definitely not something I support according to my Christian faith and beliefs. (I spoke more in depth about this - here.) I've been talking this over with my family, pouring out my heart, and for now, I'm taking it one day at a time here at *It's a Wonderful Movie.* I'm disheartened over their decision, but I want to be here for all of my dear IAWM friends. I will continue to stand on God's word and share which movies are family friendly and which movies include content of concern so you and your family can decide what is best for you. If I personally see any objectionable content I will be changing the channel, and I hope many of you will join me.

As I've shared in the past, each of us has to make the decision for ourselves – on how we’ll respond and what we will watch. It has always been my goal to only share family-friendly programming here at It's a Wonderful Movie, and I will do my best to be even more careful and cautious with the programming I share here in the future. However, if I haven’t pre-screened a movie, it’s sometimes difficult to know. That’s why I’m also truly grateful for those of you – who take the time to share your reviews. Your support and kindness at this time has been such an encouragement to me.

Thank you for being understanding. I hope you all have a nice weekend!

God’s Blessings to you all… Net

  1. Thanks for your comments. I’m going to depend on your website even more for reviews and what you are able to share about new movies as they are released on the Hallmark channels. Their decision definitely makes me sad.

  2. Thank you Net for being here for us! So thankful you are sharing your pure heart with us. You are a blessing to so many. Appreciate info on the Signed, Sealed, Delivered Christmas show tonight. I usually watch Dr. Stanley at that time, so I will DVR to watch later.

    2. Thank you Amanda and Unknown! I'm so glad to have so many wonderful friends here at IAWM who share the same values and morals. It's going to be different this year, for certain, but we'll help each other out - like we always do!

    1. Kathy, Thank you for thinking of my family. It is such an unusual time. I am grateful they are young enough and strong enough to get through this, unlike so many other people.

Thank you also for your comments on Hallmark's future; I'm so glad to know you feel the same. Thank you for standing with us! Bless you! :)

  5. I am right there with you Net. I will definitely not be watching any movies that include content that I do not believe in. I am fine "respecting" others rights to be who they are but it doesn't mean I agree with it or that I want to watch it. I am very sorry that Hallmark is buying into the "inclusivity attitude" but perhaps it is all about the money....sad but true. I buy almost all of the movies that come out on DVD and I can assure you that I will not watch or buy any movies with their inclusivity theme. Stay true to your beliefs, I know I will!

    1. Janet, Wow! Thank you so much for taking such a strong stand along with us! I will definitely not bend or give in on my strong beliefs rooted in the foundation of God's Word. I'm so glad to know you share these same beliefs.

I will do my best to report here any news I hear throughout the Christmas season - and I know others will be sharing here, too. I'm so grateful for all of you!!!

      Bless you, Janet!!! :)

  6. I really appreciate all you do, and will continue to rely on you as a reference for what movies are worth watching. I'm so glad to see them re-airing Signed Sealed Delivered this weekend, as it is probably our all-time favorite series and I'd love for more people to have a chance to fall in love with it!

    1. Sharon, Thank you for your sweet comment! I'm so grateful for your visits here and support.

So glad you enjoyed the SSD marathon! It really is the best of Hallmark. How I wish they would create more shows just like it! I, too, hope more people discovered it on Saturday! I know I certainly fall in love with it more & more - each time I watch!

      Blessings to you, Sharon!!! :)

  7. I share you opinions & concerns & will rely on your judgement to share which movies are family friendly. I was so glad to see Signed Sealed and Delivered on today and want to know if it will come back again to HMM. I really loved it and miss. I hope it will return again to HMM. I also am glad I have been able to get your emails IAWM now that I have a different carrier.

    1. Estra, Thank you for sharing! I'm so glad you feel the same on everything that is happening. We'll be here for one another.

As for "Signed, Sealed, Delivered..." oh my, wasn't the marathon absolutely wonderful? I could hardly pull myself away from the TV! It is so good! They were supposed to do a new movie this year - to premiere on Hallmark Drama, but of course, the virus changed those plans. Hopefully, they'll be able to work something out for next year.

Also, so happy to hear you are receiving my emails again! That's wonderful news! :)

      God bless you, Estra!!!

  8. Are there Godwink Christmas 3 with Kathie Lee Griffith’s different characters for Hallmark?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Great question! I sure hope so! Word was, in the beginning, that Kathie Lee had a contract for 3 Hallmark movies. I'm assuming they would all be "Godwink" movies. I'm not sure if this is still the plan this year to film #3, due to the virus, but we'll see.

Course, Kathie Lee Gifford is also currently grieving the loss of her beloved friend, Regis Philbin. They were certainly wonderful those many years on their talk show together.

  10. Thank you, thank you, thank you Net! I've only had HMM channel for about a year so I had never seen the Postables Christmas movie. Absolutely loved it! The true meaning of Christmas! This is what Hallmark was back then. Blessings all around! Sorry for posting again but I had to send you a virtual hug for this info.

    1. Awe, hugs to you, too, kitkat! I'm so glad you loved the SSD Christmas movie! Isn't it fantastic?!? Not even a question is it? It's The Best! That story about the Fourth Wise Man always touches me deeply and then the Nativity Story too! Martha Williamson sure knows how to write a Christmas movie. This is what I would love to see more of on Hallmark! :)

      Bless you, too, kitkat!!! :)

So glad you got the chance to watch "Christmas at Graceland: Home for the Holidays" on Saturday night! I love the singing in the movie - especially the children! I agree - it's a sweet one! :)

  12. Now I am upset. Last July, I did not know about your site Net. Did not know SSD had been moved to the Drama Channel. Of course, I don't get the Drama Channel on Comcast, even though we have a premium package. I ordered two of the SSD DVD's. The complete season is out of stock on Amazon now but I am on the wait list for it. Love SSD! Was surprised to see Kevin McGarry in the Paris one. I am not a WCTH fan but I do like Kevin.

    1. Hey kitkat, Here's the deal on SSD on Hallmark Drama... There was supposed to be a brand new "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie premiere there this year, but due to the coronavirus that didn't happen. To my knowledge, none of the old SSD movies have even played on the Hallmark Drama channel this year. They've only aired on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. So... thus far, you haven't missed any thing SSD related on Hallmark Drama. I hope once the new "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie comes (hopefully, next year!) - even more cable providers will offer it.
