*UPDATE: An Anonymous commenter below has shared this may not be a PixL movie based on where it is filming - so please know, we do not officially know where this one will be seen, yet. I received my information directly from IMDB - the Internet Movie Database, which does currently list this movie as a PixL TV Movie on their site. Also, the anonymous commenter mentioned the production company is a Canadian Company. They are exactly right - it is Lighthouse Pictures, and upon checking their other films, it looks like they produce mostly movies for the Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Lifetime. So... Please keep a close eye here and stay tuned for more details on 'The Mechanics of Love'.

*UPDATE #2 (July, 2016): I have just learned from Anderson W., that Lighthouse Pictures has made a movie for PixL. They produced the newest PixL original movie 'Twist of Fate'. Anderson discovered this interesting news when watching the new movie recently. Lighthouse Pictures is shown at the beginning of the film and Larry Levinson's name is featured at the end.

Anderson was also so thoughtful to include these fantastic screen-shots:

Please note... whether, 'Mechanics of Love', ends up on PixL or Hallmark, is still unknown, however this certainly proves it could end up anywhere!

*UPDATE #3 (May 23, 2017): This movie - 'Mechanics of Love' - will premiere on PixL, after all! The premiere date is June 3, 2017! (Thank you, Gina, for sharing this news!)

Family Ranch" follows veteran rancher and former sheriff John Landsburg (Jon Voight), who is forced to face the federal bureaucracy when an old enemy, Tap Peterson (James Caan) seeking revenge over a decades-old grudge falsifies documents and alleges Landsburg doesn't actually own his beloved family ranch. John however isn't the type to go down without a fight.

 "JL Family Ranch" movie

Movie Review:

Not since J.R. and Dallas has TV seen a family like this.

Heritage, Loyalty, Heartbreak, Redemption… 'J.L. Family Ranch' is the epitome of Hallmark.

With an amazing all-star cast: Jon Voight, James Caan, Melanie Griffith, and more… you will be drawn in from the start. 'J.L. Family Ranch' has the feel of a modern day western meets country song.

Rich in history, the name 'J.L. Family Ranch' says it all. John Landsburg (Jon Voight), as the patriarch, is determined to care for his family and his ranch, every member and square inch of it. To the death, if necessary and it just might be necessary!

When a local rancher, Tap Peterson (James Caan), with a vendetta, schemes with local government bureaucrats to take over the Landsburg ranch, John, along with his daughters Rebecca (Teri Polo) and Regan (Abby Brammell), and troubled, but loyal son Brady (Trevor Donovan), do everything in their power to fight back. They are devoted to their father and their roots, and nothing sways them away – not money, temptations, or threats.

This movie has such an authentic feel, so real. Very true to our lives today, as it delves into government control, imminent domain, and our basic rights and freedoms.

If you love American history, the old west, or the countryside… if you believe in an honest day’s work, for an honest day’s pay… and the good ole USA, you will be riveted by Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ 'J.L. Family Ranch'.

Please note: J.L. Family Ranch is like a modern day western with guns and other violence. Adult situations are discussed. Along with drinking, a physical altercation, etc…

If you enjoy the old western type movies and love the country way of life - then you will definitely want to see 'J.L. Family Ranch'.

Memorial Day Weekend - Movies, Specials, and More!!!

The Disney Channel's Memorial Day Movie Marathon!

As I mentioned in a previous post, the Disney Channel will be airing a special marathon of movies this weekend in celebration of them premiering their 100th DCOM - Disney Channel Original Movie this summer! See more details, here!

image: Disney / courtesy: BuzzFeed

After these 4 full days of movies... Disney will be playing 2 movies - twice daily at 12 am & 2 am! See the complete schedule at Buzzfeed!

(Thank you SleepyKittyPaws for sharing this schedule link! Super excited for early Christmas on June 16th!)

movie posters via: Disney

Also, in honor of Memorial Day, I would like to mention two of Disney's most patriotic films... 'Cadet Kelly', which honors our military, starring Haylie Duff and Christy Carlson Romano, and will air Monday May 30th at 11:55pm/10:55c. Then, there is 'Tiger Cruise', which can be seen next weekend on Sunday, June 5th at 2 am/1c. It is a remarkable movie that tells the story of 9/11, starring actress Hayden Panettiere.

National Memorial Day Concert 2016 airs on PBS

Sunday May 29, 2016 at 8pm/7c.

Repeats at 9:30pm/8:30c., 12am/11c., and 1:30am/12:30c.

Please check your local listings - as times may be different in your local area.

This is typically a very emotional and inspiring show, which honors our country and our military's sacrifice and service.

Patriotic & War Movies...

Over the course of Memorial Day weekend, these movies/specials can be seen - which give special tribute to our military...

TCM will be playing 'The Best Years of Our Lives', 'Glory', 'Where Eagles Dare', 'The Great Escape', 'The Guns of Navarone' and more.

TBN will be showing '25 Hill', 'Last Ounce of Courage' and 'Flag of my Father'.

INSP is playing on Monday special episodes of The Waltons and Western Dramas.

AMC is showing 'Patton', 'The Green Berets', 'Heartbreak Ridge', and more.

FX is showing 'Lone Survivor'. (Please note: I have not seen this movie. It is rated R by the MPAA for strong bloody war violence and pervasive language.)

*The movie '25 Hill' and The Waltons are appropriate for family viewing.

*Please know most of these other films are war movies and not suitable for young children. Furthermore, I have seen many, but not all of these movies listed. I have seen 'Glory', for instance, and it is a very intense war movie, with some very graphic war scenes. Just thinking about it, my heart goes out with great appreciation to all of our dear veterans who fought so hard to protect our freedoms today. It is important we all remember liberty and freedom isn't free.

On this Memorial Day Weekend, we remember all veterans with great honor and deep gratitude!

God Bless America and All who defend her!
