PLOT:

Is 30 days enough time to teach two selfish, wayward boys the importance of giving? Santa had better hope so because if it isn’t, “The Chairmen of Christmas,” his board of directors, are going to fire him because they think children have become too greedy.

Santa has until midnight, December 24 to prove the board wrong by changing the ways of two especially incorrigible boys, Farley and Steve. Carefully disguised as “Kriss,” part-time school janitor, part-time mall Santa, and with his head elf Randall along for the journey, Santa’s plan is to quash the boys’ mischievous ways with an act of kindness. Together, they will work to grant a Christmas wish for a handicapped boy and his mom and hopefully, in doing so, the boys will learn giving a gift feels just as good-if not better-than receiving one.

One by one, Farley and Steve begin to come around but everything is put in jeopardy when a news story catches on about the local mall Santa who is incredibly giving and could even be the real deal. Luckily, Santa still has a few tricks up his red velvet sleeve. Even if it takes a bona fide Christmas miracle and the ultimate act of selflessness, he will liberate Christmas from the clutches of the paranoid chairmen.

PLOT:

If you think the competitive world of fashion is tough, nothing is as intimidating as meeting the fiance's family for the first time. Budding designer Alicia Crosby (Kayla Ewell, "The Vampire Diaries") must earn the affections of a new family and she must do so under the pressures of their annual extravaganza, the "Randall Reunion Races," a Hallmark Channel Original Movie which began production and is slated to have its world premiere in 2011. Two-time Emmy nominee Roma Downey ("Touched by an Angel") and television legend and five-time Emmy nominee Marion Ross ("Happy Days," "Brooklyn Bridge") are among the Randall Reunion competitors.

Alicia Crosby (Ewell) is a hugely successful children's fashion designer based in Los Angeles. Her personal life is equally successful as Alicia suspects her boyfriend Will Randall (Thad Luckinbill, "The Young and the Restless") is going to pop the question any day now. But first, Alicia must survive meeting Will's family, which means getting down and dirty in their family's annual "Reunion Races" where she is up against everyone from Will's mom, Barb (Downey), to seemingly sweet Grandma Dorie (Ross), to even Will's ex-girlfriend, Kris (McKenna Jones, "The Bold and the Beautiful").

It is no surprise to anyone, Alicia included, that she is not up to athletic challenges. Almost out of patience, even going as far as to fake an injury to avoid the games, Alicia at last sees a glimmer of hope and a way to merge her fashion sense with some outdoors know-how. Just as the stopwatch ceases to tick, she might not only win the races, but finally, a place in the hearts of her soon-to-be family members.

PLOT:

A lonely businessman temporarily relocates to Maine after a bad breakup. He moves into a rundown cottage, where he meets the beautiful spirit of a woman who lived in the house fifty years before. As they form a friendship, they begin to help each other in ways they never knew were possible, and change both their fortunes forever.

Movie Review:

This movie may have been fantasy, but it was also quite fascinating!

Brian, a man from Present day has gone off to work in Maine - away from his own family, friends, co-workers, and ex-fiance. He buys this cottage and instantly starts to see odd things. In the past, he has always been too busy with his work to have a personal life, but when he meets Nora at the Edge of the Garden - everything changes!

The fantasy part is... that Nora is from 1960 - 50 years ago! It doesn't seem at all to be spooky or evil, just fantasy. (It reminded me a little of Back to the Future - when Marty goes back to the past and meets his parents and slightly changes the future!)

I wouldn't recommend this movie for children or family movie night. There was no language or immorality; however, this story might be confusing for them.

Nora and Brian continue to meet at the Edge of the Garden to talk. He helps her through her problems and her illness, and eventually convinces her to make a big step in her life - that finally sets her free and leads her towards the path of happiness. In turn, it finally leads Brian to "True Love", as well.

It's an interesting and beautiful story of love that is set in the past, present, and future...

A Reunion Show of The Waltons Cast Members

As a big fan of The Waltons for years... 

I am most excited that they are picking up the series and they are airing a Reunion Show!

"Having all of the surviving cast members together on television is a real treat. 'The Waltons' transcended television and spoke to an ideal of family unity and surviving difficult times that many Americans still strive for today. We're excited that people will have another chance to see and hear from this cast."

Hosted by Mary McDonough (Erin Walton), the reunion special will feature Richard Thomas (John Boy), Ralph Waite (John Walton), Michael Learned (Olivia Walton), Judy Norton (Mary Ellen Walton), Eric Scott (Ben Walton), Jon Walmsley (Jason Walton), David Harper (Jim-Bob Walton), Kami Cotler (Elizabeth Walton), and series creator Earl Hamner. The veteran cast will reminisce about the series, its impact on American culture and family life, and what they've been up to since the series ended its original run in 1981.

Beginning Monday, October 18^th on INSP, viewers also can journey back with "The Waltons" at 1pm EST and 8pm EST when the series begins its exclusive Monday-Friday run on the network.
