NBC has officially announced its lineup of annual holiday programming, featuring cherished classics!

I’m so delighted that Frosty and Rudolph will be lighting up NBC again this year, and Christmas Eve just wouldn’t feel complete without 'It’s a Wonderful Life'! It warms my heart to see these beloved classics return to the holiday schedule. Every year, my family gathers around to watch together, and without fail, our eyes fill with happy tears as we’re reminded just how rich George Bailey’s life truly is... surrounded by the love of family and friends.

With NBC's schedule now revealed, it’s the perfect time to take a closer look at when these specials will air.

COUNTDOWN TO THE 99TH MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
Wednesday, Nov. 26
Broadcast live from the famous starting line on the eve of the iconic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, viewers will get an exclusive first look at the incredible stories behind the floats, balloons and bands as they prepare to make their way through the streets of New York.

99th MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE
Thursday, Nov. 27, 8:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
The 99th edition of the world-famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade(R) brings its one-of-a-kind magic to New York City spectators and a national television audience with its exciting array of balloons, floats, marching bands, celebrities and more in America's most watched entertainment telecast of the year.

CHRISTMAS IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER
Wednesday, Dec. 3, 8-10 p.m.
Hosted by Reba McEntire, the dazzling display of musical talents, star-studded surprises and the lighting of the world's most famous Christmas tree remains one of the holiday season's most anticipated events.

CHRISTMAS IN NASHVILLE
Wednesday, Dec. 3, 10-11 p.m.
Celebrate the season Nashville-style! Ring in the holidays with dazzling performances and a night of music, magic and merrymaking straight from Music City.

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS
Thursday, Dec. 4, 8-8:30 p.m. (encore on Dec. 25 at 8 p.m.)
The classic animated tale of the curmudgeonly Grinch who's hoping to remove the joy from Christmas but, ultimately, has a change of heart.

FROSTY THE SNOWMAN
Thursday, Dec. 4, 8:30-9 p.m. (encore on Dec. 9 at 8 p.m.) The cherished original holiday special about how Frosty, everyone's favorite snowman, came to life one day.

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER
Friday, Dec. 5, 8-9:15 p.m. (encore on Dec. 11 at 8 p.m.)
The classic animated special offers the perspective of Rudolph, who's told he couldn't play in any Reindeer Games due to his glowing nose. Rudolph sets out on a fantastic journey where he meets Hermey the elf, prospector Yukon Cornelius and a host of Misfit Toys, all while trying to hide from the Abominable Snow Monster.

PASSWORD HOLIDAY SPECIAL
Monday, Dec. 8, 10-11p.m. (encore on Dec. 18 at 8p.m.)
"Password," hosted by Keke Palmer and starring Jimmy Fallon, returns to NBC primetime to ring in the holiday season with a very merry, special holiday episode. Celebrity guest Jonathan Groff spreads good cheer, pairing up with contestants to compete against Fallon and his teammate in a festive edition of the iconic celebrity word game.

SHREK THE HALLS
Tuesday, Dec. 9, 8:30-9 p.m. (encore on Dec. 17 at 8 p.m.)
This half-hour animated special debuted in 2007 and features a Christmas twist on the original "Shrek" characters.

A MOTOWN CHRISTMAS
Tuesday, Dec. 9, 9-11 p.m. (encore on Dec. 17 at p.m.)
Hosted by Smokey Robinson and Halle Bailey, this special will feature performances by Motown legends and today's hottest stars celebrating iconic Hitsville U.S.A classics and their favorite holiday songs.

NBC 2025 YEAR IN REVIEW PRESENTED BY ACCESS HOLLYWOOD
Thursday, Dec. 11, 9:15-10 p.m. (one-hour extended version airing Dec. 17 at 10 p.m.)
What: "Access Hollywood's" Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover host NBC's primetime special, recapping the most talked about entertainment stories and buzzworthy headlines of the year.

JIMMY FALLON'S HOLIDAY SEASONING SPECTACULAR
Wednesday, Dec. 17, 9 -10 p.m.
Jimmy Fallon searches for the holiday spirit in New York, exploring a surreal and magical apartment building where behind every door a different celebrity joins him for a performance from his festive holiday album, "Holiday Seasoning." The star-studded lineup of guests includes Meghan Trainor, Cara Delevingne, Dolly Parton, JB Smoove, Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, LL Cool J, The Roots, "Weird Al" Yankovic and more.

IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
Wednesday, Dec. 24, 8-11 p.m.
NBC again presents this Frank Capra classic starring Jimmy Stewart. An angel is sent from heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed.

HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS
Thursday, Dec. 25, 8:30-11 p.m.
On the outskirts of Whoville, there lives a green revenge-seeking Grinch who plans on ruining the Christmas holiday for all of the citizens of the town.

ALERT: Holiday Warnings - From the Parade to Santa 🎅 See Here:

On Thanksgiving morning, it's an annual tradition for families to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade; however, oftentimes, children watch much of the program alone as parents are in and out of the room, cooking the turkey and side dishes and generally, just preparing for Thanksgiving day. While the parade is thought of as a safe, family-friendly show, this year, it will include some content you should know...

The prominently known organization made up of Christian mothers, called One Million Moms, began a petition on November 8th, warning that the "holiday parade will potentially expose tens of millions of viewers at home to the liberal LGBTQ agenda."

One Million Moms further stated, "Performances showcased in the parade will include music from two Broadway musicals, "& Juliet" and "Shucked," both of which feature transgender and non-binary performers in major roles."

I wanted to be certain you all were made aware of this content before watching the parade with your families. The Broadway musical portion of the show is usually the entire hour before the actual parade begins.

Also, I have some news for those of you, who have the streaming service, Disney+. The series The Santa Clauses Season 2 includes anti-Christian content in its 2nd season.

According to a review by Movieguide, "The first three episodes of THE SANTA CLAUSES: Season Two have many funny, entertaining and heartwarming scenes, but a subplot occurs in Episode Two and especially Episode Three where Scott’s daughter, is taking lessons in witchcraft from the local witch at the North Pole."

The review from Movieguide further explains that Scott Calvin's daughter... "Sandra, who works with Santa’s reindeer, is having problems handling her new magical powers, which let her hear everything every animal at the North Pole is saying. Her parents don’t understand what she’s going through. Also, she’s becoming estranged from her mother, Carol, aka Mrs. Clause. So, Sandra turns to the local witch, the eccentric La Befana."

I personally do not have Disney+, but The Santa Clause original movies have always held a special place in my heart, so it's disappointing to learn the series is heading down this dark path. I'm not sure where this story will lead throughout the rest of season 2, but Movieguide gives us a glimmer of hope with this statement, "Hopefully, though, the series eventually will denounce the use of witchcraft in the final three episodes of Season Two. MOVIEGUIDE® will let you know what happens."

Well, I just wanted to inform you all so you can make viewing decisions that are appropriate for yourself and your families.

We remember today, with gratitude, the course the Pilgrims took to make it to America... to cross the ocean and then survive through many trials and obstacles. Were they joyful or fearful when they landed that day on Plymouth Rock? We cannot even imagine the hardships they faced as the set off on their mission to leave their homeland behind, determined to live in America, where they would be free from religious persecution. We thank the Lord for guiding them here and we pray for that same bravery and courage today.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, 2009 - celebrates its 83rd Anniversary! Parade hosts are Meredith Vieira and Matt Lauer on NBC for this spectacular, annual celebration. America's favorite Thanksgiving Day parade features all the amazing pageantry, fun and surprises that have made this annual New York City extravaganza a perennial favorite. Heralding the start of the Christmas season, this beloved holiday parade features colorful grand floats, lively marching bands, amazing character balloons and special performances by some of today's hottest stars and Broadway performers -- plus an appearance by Santa Claus.
