3 New Movies Premiere this Weekend on Hallmark Channel, ABC Family, & NBC !!!

1.)

The First Movie is The Jensen Project.

Premieres Friday Night, July 16, 2010, on NBC.

This is said to be a Family Movie. I, however, have read about it and I have seen some clips & previews - and I feel I must caution this movie for younger viewers. I think it might be too intense for them.

I, personally, look forward to seeing Kellie Martin in this... who I have loved as an actress since her days on Life Goes On as Becca, the smart girl with red glasses!

Anyway, this movie, The Jensen Project, actually looks more like a case for Jack Bauer... so I guess 24 fans will enjoy it. We'll see!

2.)

The Second New Movie is Jack's Family Adventure.

Premieres Saturday Night, July 17, 2010 on the Hallmark Channel.

I have liked Jonathon Silverman, as a comedic actor, long before Weekend at Bernie's... I loved him on Gimme a Break, when he played a nerdy teenager and he dated the middle sister! That was so cute! He is always so funny in whatever he does... so, I so look forward to seeing him in this Adventure, as well.

To me, this looks even more like a great family movie. It's all about coming together as a family!

3.)

The Third Movie is Revenge of the Bridesmaids.

Premieres Sunday Night, July 18, 2010 on ABC Family.

I'm hopeful that this movie will be suitable for family viewing because it stars a Disney Actress, Raven-Symone. You may also recall her as a little girl, on The Cosby Show, as Olivia, Denise's Step-Daughter.

Revenge of the Bridesmaids also stars, Joanna Garcia, well known from the sitcom series, Reba. She played Reba's oldest daughter.

It sounds like this movie will be an interesting "Trip" Down the Aisle!

PLOT:

from Hallmark Channel:

Jack’s Family Adventure, an original movie about a fast-paced, modern-day family that gets caught up in their busy routine. When the Vickerys inherit a cabin in the mountains and are faced with a daunting challenge, they quickly come together as a family and realize that the most important thing in life is each other.

“Jack’s Family Adventure” is the story of the Vickerys, who on the surface appear to be the perfect all-American family: Jack (Silverman) is a star at his ad agency and is looking forward to making partner; Emily (Pfeiffer) is an up-and-coming realtor; Derek (Funk) is a senior in high school and star soccer player; and, Charlotte (Godfrey) is a do-gooder, vegetarian cheerleader. Underneath it all, however, the family is separated by modern-day gadgets and hectic schedules.

When Jack’s Uncle George dies and leaves the family his country ranch in the mountains, Jack takes a look at his family and realizes they could all use some time away together. When the Vickerys arrive, some of them are quick to throw in the towel on the aged cabin with its outdated touches, including an outhouse. But, when the family meets their new neighbor, Wild Bill Cohen (Strauss), they are forced to work together to help him round-up a herd of grazing horses and, in the process, realize that as a family they can accomplish anything.

Movie Review:

This is a lighthearted and sweet family comedy. There isn't a lot of depth to the storyline, but if you just want to sit back, relax, and have a good laugh with the family... then Jack's Family Adventure is just right.

Reminds me a little of Secrets of the Mountain or John Candy in The Great Outdoors. In Secrets of the Mountain, the older kids don't want to go on the trip, but once there - they eventually love it! The same is the case in this movie.

Plus, the kids and the mother don't think they can live, at first, without their cell phone, ipods, and other electronic gadgets... but they learn to adapt and love the country, horses, and the quiet, simple life. It's a sweet family film, perhaps, not always realistic, but charming nonetheless.

Jonathan Silverman was as cute and funny, as ever. And though, it was simple and predictable, at times, we still got a good chuckle out of it and enjoyed the movie, as a family.
