🏇 HALLMARK has Greenlit RIDE, an Original Primetime Series for 2023! 🚜

"Saddle up, Hallmark fans: the channel has greenlit Ride, an original primetime series about a rodeo dynasty," Deadline reveals.

According to their article, "Ride is described as a multigenerational family drama that follows the lives of the Murrays as they struggle to keep their beloved ranch afloat. Here’s the logline: “After a tragic loss, each character embarks on an empowering journey of transformation and self-discovery while also uncovering a twisted web of secrets, threatening to tear the family and their small Colorado town apart at the seams. Emotions run high and clashes are common in the complicated Murray clan, but they are a tight-knit group who don’t give up easily. And the three strong women of the family – widowed rodeo queen Missy, matriarch Isabel, and former teen run-away Valeria – resolve to stand strong against all challenges and save their land, come what may.”

We can expect to the series to premiere in 2023 on the Hallmark Channel, as filming will take place this summer in Calgary, Alberta in Canada. Deadline also mentions Ride will be "co-produced by Endeavor-backed Blink49 Studios and Seven24 Films, in partnership with Bell Media for CTV Drama Channel in Canada. The series is based on an original script by husband and wife writing team Rebecca Boss & Chris Masi (Our Kind of People), who along with Sherri Cooper-Landsman (Beauty and the Beast, Brothers and Sisters) are showrunners and executive producers."

🐎 READY to RIDE? HEARTLAND SEASON 12 is COMING to UPtv! @UPtv #ILoveHeartland @Amber_Marshall @GrahamWardle @The_Real_ShaunJ @alijnewton @kevin_mcGarry 🐎 DETAILS HERE:

image: UPtv

The hit family drama "Heartland" returns to UPtv with ALL NEW SEASON 12 Episodes beginning Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 9 PM ET starring Amber Marshall, Michelle Morgan, Graham Wardle, Shaun Johnston, Chris Potter, Kevin McGarry, Alisha Newton, Kerry James, Jessica Steen, Lisa Durupt and Gabe Hogan!

I have personally been watching this one hour drama series since it first began airing on UP many years ago. It's a family series with some intense drama, true to life family moments, and the profound love and care for horses. The main story and heart of the series always takes place on the families' horse ranch.

UPtv provides this description of "Heartland": "A family drama series set in the rolling foothills of the Rockies, “Heartland” follows life on the Heartland ranch as Amy Fleming (Amber Marshall), her older sister Lou (Michelle Morgan) and Grandfather Jack (Shaun Johnston) deal with the challenges of running the ranch that has been in their family for generations. Heartland is not like any other ranch — it is a horse ranch with a special mission of treating troubled or neglected horses and finding them new homes, and Amy has inherited her late mother’s uncanny ability to work with, understand and help heal those horses."

There is something so real and special about this show as you watch this family grow through the years together on this horse ranch. At times, family members may come and go, but in the end, they always pull together when they are needed.

I hope many of you will look forward, as I am, to Season 12 of Heartland on UPtv. By the way, for any Canadian followers here, I am delighted to see your Season 13 of Heartland began on September 22nd on CBC, which means... we have even more episodes to come!

Will INSP's New Series ROPE You In?

Yes, Ma'am. Yes, Sir.
I do think INSP's new weekly show...
"The Cowboy Way" -
will pull you, grab you, and rope you right in!

image "The Cowboy Way" - via: INSP

Do you remember western shows like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifle Man, The Lone Ranger, or the Roy Rogers show? I know these were all popular in my parent's generation - in the 50's and 60's and I enjoyed them years later in re-runs. Still do. Those tales never grow old, and yet, Cowboys, yes, real-life All-American Cowboys still exist! And, INSP is bringing the real-life stories of three friends, these three modern day cowboys, along with their families and everyday life to our TV screens each week - so we can see what it's like for cowboys today.

VIA INSP:

"INSP’s new original series The Cowboy Way sets the stage for real-life cowboy adventures. This one-hour series follows three modern-day cowboys – Bubba, Cody, and Booger – as they build their cattle business in south Alabama and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

The Old West meets the Deep South with these three friends who spend their days herding cattle, breaking horses and tilling fields while taking time to sip a little sweet tea. These men live by a code that is as important to them today as it was to the cowboys who first tamed the West. They work hard, play hard and depend on each other. When the sun goes down, they head home to hang with their wives, babies and those they love. Their days may not be easy, but these three friends wouldn’t have it any other way.

image "The Cowboy Way" - via: INSP

Bubba Thompson is a rancher and skilled carpenter. He and wife, Kaley have a fun-loving relationship, often teasing and joking around. Retired pro-rodeo, calf-roping champ, Cody Harris produces popular rodeos. As he adjusts to life on the other side of the arena fence, he is supported by his wife, Misty. They are devoted to each other, often sharing poignant moments. Chris “Booger” Brown is an expert cattleman and a renowned horse trainer. When it comes to joking around, he can give as good as he gets, but should a friend or neighbor need his help, the jokes take a back seat, and he’s ready to help in an instant. Together the cowboys own Faith Cattle Company.

In each episode, you’ll share in Bubba’s, Cody’s and Booger’s emotional stories—the business and life challenges, the accomplishments, the joyful events, the unconditional support, and the fun. Get ready to go into their homes and ride into the herd!"

image "The Cowboy Way" - via: INSP

Episode 1: An American Tradition

via INSP: "The cowboys of Faith Cattle Company risk their safety while removing a rogue bull from their herd. Bubba and Kaley get ready for their newborn, Cody must put on a successful rodeo, and Booger tries to tame the wildest horse in the county."

Back in the Saddle Again... HEARTLAND Season 8 returns April 8 on UP-TV!

via UP-- HEARTLAND is a family drama series set in the rolling foothills of the Rockies, Heartland follows life on the Heartland ranch as Amy Fleming (Amber Marshall), her older sister Lou (Michelle Morgan) and Grandfather Jack (Shaun Johnston) deal with the challenges of running the ranch that has been in their family for generations. Heartland is not like any other ranch -- it is a horse ranch with a special mission of treating troubled or neglected horses and finding them new homes, and Amy has inherited her late mother's uncanny ability to work with, understand and help heal those horses.

Season eight of Heartland continues the saga of a Western family as they chase big dreams and manage life's setbacks, while holding on to what matters most: courage, love, family and a home you can always come back to.

The season begins with Amy arriving back from the European Equestrian circuit, still riding high on the opulent lifestyle and adrenaline of working with Prince Ahmed's high-performance horses. But if she thought life at Heartland was going to pick up where it left off, she is sadly mistaken. Amy's time away has changed her and everyone else back home. And as the family struggles through secrets, rivalries and misunderstandings, Amy and Ty must find solid ground in their relationship. By the end of the season they have persevered and grown as a couple, moving forward into their future.

Season 8 of the TV series Heartland
begins Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 on UP-TV at 9 PM/8c.

In coming weeks:

Wednesday, April 15 – 9 p.m. EDT
Episode 802 / “The Big Red Wall”
After her initial shock at her grandfather’s announcement, Lou throws herself into party planning mode and forces Jack into an awkward reunion with an old acquaintance. Ty becomes the middleman when Amy and Caleb butt heads over horse training. And still reeling from her recent discovery, Georgie pulls away from Amy and focuses on donating money to an online animal sanctuary.

Wednesday, April 22 – 9 p.m. EDT
Episode 803 / “Severed Ties”
Amy’s attempts to reunite with Georgie are continually thwarted by the arrival of lavish gifts from afar. When Tim is captivated by an old acquaintance, he and Jack team up for a charity event. Meanwhile, Lou and Peter disagree about potential pre-schools and Lou takes Katie for an assessment. And an unexpected revelation forces Ty to question his career prospects.

Wednesday, April 29 – 9 p.m. EDT
Episode 804 / “Secrets and Lies”
A surprise visitor at Heartland makes an unwelcome declaration and Amy is forced to deal with the devastating consequences. Meanwhile, a dire animal crisis at the Reserve eerily parallels Ty’s personal life when he realizes that some things just can’t be saved. Still stinging from Katie’s pre-school rejection, Lou’s insistence that a specialist test her daughter brings an unexpected result. And Georgie realizes she needs her own trick riding horse in order to keep up with her nemesis Olivia.
