This new animated special, titled "Mickey's Home Alone," sounds so cute - I absolutely couldn't resist sharing! Plus, I just love the original Home Alone movies, and this sounds like an adorable twist on those fantastic films!
This time, though, it's Mickey who is Home Alone, with his dog, Pluto!

(BURBANK, Calif. - June 16, 2026) Today, the new full-length Christmas special "Mickey's Home Alone" was announced. The special is set to debut in the 2026 holiday season on Disney Jr. and Disney+.
In "Mickey's Home Alone," Mickey can't wait to spend Christmas at home. His plans take a turn when Minnie surprises him and the gang with tickets to spend Christmas at a world-famous Ice Palace. In the morning rush to make it out the door, Mickey and Pluto are left behind and home alone. While Mickey and Pluto must protect their home from two feisty villains, a raccoon and a weasel who are after their Christmas dinner, Minnie and the gang desperately try to make their way back home to Mickey.
The special features original songs "Ho-Ho-Home for Christmas" and "Favorite Christmas Feeling" by songwriter Keith Harrison Dworkin, and a new arrangement of the holiday classic "Jingle Bells," with a score by Tony Morales.
"Mickey's Home Alone" is produced by Wild Canary in association with Disney Jr. The special is executive-produced by Tom Rogers and co-executive produced by Rachel Ruderman, with Shane Prigmore as director.

Doesn't this sound adorable? I know... I know... It is the Home Alone story, but I'm sure there will be plenty of cuteness and uniqueness to this new animation, as well.
Just reading the synopsis gave me all the cozy feels of the sweet Disney cartoons I always loved growing up.

This does sound cute. I would never or have ever had Disney+ but I saw it says Disney JR. Is that a channel on cable tv? I hope so. I do love Home Alone and this does look cute.

Sabrina, I have the Disney Jr. channel in my DirecTV package, and I did a search and it looks like it is available through lots of various cable providers in their basic packages. I hope you have this channel, too!
