Get ready to experience a transformative journey of spiritual renewal!
The Hallmark Channel has an all-new DaySpring inspirational film premiering this Easter weekend titled Journey to You, starring Erin Cahill.
In this film, Erin portrays Monica, an over-worked ER nurse who embarks on a journey to pay tribute to her late father. She walks the renowned Camino de Santiago in Spain, guided by a devotional journal her father left to her.
During her trek, Monica forms a bond with Luis (played by Eric Valdez), a single dad traveling with his father and teenage son. Their adventure together, filled with both physical challenges and emotional growth, is marked by gradual healing, a renewal of faith, and deep introspection.
I thought it would be nice today to feature the No Worries devotional journal Monica uses throughout the movie to reflect on God's word and her journey, not only in Spain but in life.
(By the way, If you order from Amazon today, you may be able to receive this devotional before the movie premieres or for Easter Sunday. Click here for product and shipping details.)
DaySpring's description of this journal:
No worries! God's got this. God's got YOU.
Use this journal to help you calm your heart and mind. Take a few moments each day - when you wake up in the morning and before you go to bed at night - to read, reflect, and pray. You will be reassured that God is always with you, watching out for you, and caring about every detail of your life, no matter what.

I located some black hiking pants at Amazon that are similar to Erin's.
And these Merrell Women's Moab Speed 2 GTX Sneakers are exactly the shoes Erin wears in the movie. You can also find them on Amazon.
This Polartec stretch fleece layer is the exact one Erin wears while hiking. It's not only trendy but practical!

ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie. All of the other Dayspring movies have been great, so I can’t wait to watch this. Christie
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about this movie. The preview, I saw, looked really good. And, I recently read an interview from Erin, where she talked about her experience making this movie. It is an excellent interview from The Christian Post.

This interview made me love Erin even more. :-) I had no idea how strong her faith was and she is very open about it.
I can’t wait to see this one!
ReplyDeleteI love stories and movies about "Camino de Santiago". There is one movie that I especially like called "The Way" with Martin Sheen. It's about him walking the "Camino de Santiago". It was a very spiritually enriching movie for me.
ReplyDeleteHi Jim,
DeleteI need to watch "The Way". I have heard really good things about it. Glad to hear you really liked it.
I really think you will like it Joan. You experience so many emotions during it. I think it is just wonderful!
DeleteThis movie looks so great! We just took our kids to see “King of Kings” today and it was such a good movie, really broken down for kids to understand the life of Jesus. Our almost 4 year old was just there for the popcorn but our 7 year old was really into it, she was excited to see parts that she remembered from us reading to her and church. She said “mommy it was sad about what happened to Jesus” I’m like I know but he died for our sins so we could have the opportunity to be in Heaven one day. There was only 2 parts that was kind of scary for her, when Jesus healed the man who was demon possessed but it was a very short scene, like 2 minutes. And the actual crucifixion, they showed some lashing and nailing but not all the graphics. It was rated PG so I didn’t know what to expect but having seen it I would say suitable for maybe 13 and older? Our 7 year old was a little taken aback by some scenes as we had of course explained to her for example that Jesus died for us, but not in detail of how he was crucified just yet.
