Please Note: These "Love Club Moms" movies are said to be sequels to the four original Love Club movies that premiered on the Hallmark Channel in 2023, but these new movies are brand new love stories about fresh new characters, all single mothers.
FYI - the first movie in the original Love Club series, The Love Club: Nicole's Pen Pal, introduced two married men at the end of the film. I don't know if these characters were in subsequent Love Club movies after that. You can read reviews for The Love Club: Nicole's Pen Pal - here.
You can also see details on the three following Love Club movies... The Love Club: Sydney's Journey, The Love Club: Lauren's Dream, The Love Club: Tara's Tune - here. According to an Anonymous reviewer, the first two are family-friendly. In the last movie, Tara has a gay co-worker.
I don't know if the "Love Club Moms" movies are family-friendly. I started watching the first one starring Ashley Newbrough via streaming, but I wasn't fond of the guy they were pairing her with and didn't end up finishing it.
If any of you have had the opportunity to watch these movies on UP Faith & Family, please share in the comments below. I would love to know your thoughts.
These do not look good at all. Funny that Hallmark is calling May movies Mothers movies too. Weird. I miss when it was Countdown to Summer on HM. Now it seems both networks are doing Mom movies. Not that I have anything against it, its just weird that both are doing the same thing.

Sabrina, Yes! I loved Countdown to Summer, too! Or why can't the Spring movies simply be both April and May?
DeleteI’m going to pass on these. Don’t care for the male nanny or the married woman, not yet divorced falling in love with someone else.
ReplyDeleteToo bad, these could have been better.
Abigail, Totally agree!!! There are definitely some questions surrounding Harper's story, especially since she’s only separated from her husband.
DeleteAlthough Tory's story sounds better on paper since she’s single and has adopted, I completely share your concerns about the male nanny.
Ugh!!! No wonder you couldn’t make it through the first movie, Net. I just watched the trailer for Tori and no, a big no for me, too. And not to be sexist or anything but I think it’s odd to let a strange man take care of your baby girl, and he ends up not being an actual nanny. Did she not do any sort of check on him?
ReplyDeleteAllie B, I completely understand your discomfort with the idea of a male nanny. It seems that he isn't even a certified professional, which raises serious questions about Tori's judgment in leaving her daughter with someone so unqualified.
DeleteWithout the right training in baby care—like feeding, diaper changes, and safety measures—it's quite concerning to think about all the things that could've gone wrong.
Hmmmm idk about these….I do really enjoy Rebecca Dalton but her storyline and the “heated volatile relationship” sounds like a strange love triangle with her and the 2 men. Harper, that storyline doesn’t sound interesting….The Tory one, man I just cannot get into any newer Ashley movies lately! I liked so many of her older ones like Snowmance and A Small Town Christmas but her newer ones she just seems to intense like her acting is just so one dimensional….hard to explain. The only one that sounds interesting is Nila but I have a hard time watching movies about widows so there’s that Lol
ReplyDeleteAnd I totally agree Sabrina, I miss the Countdown to Summer! Some of my faves were: Season for Love with Autumn Reeser , Summer in the City with Vivica A Fox surprisingly lol, Sailing into Love with Leah Renee, Eat Play Love with Jen Lilley and so many more!

So, I too am going to pass on the first two for sure. I say this based on the storyline and the ratings on Amazon. I will probably end up passing on the last two as well but the ratings a bit better for the last two movies. I am honestly surprised to see these types of movies on UPTV.
ReplyDeleteWell, I re-read all of the descriptions again and I need to revise the original comment I submitted. :-( Thankfully, I haven't seen it come through yet. I was going to skip the first two movies, based on the reviews and subject matter. But, I am definitely going to skip the last two as well. I don't know how I missed the fact that Harper was only separated but falling for another man. :-( Oh my!
ReplyDeleteSo disappointed in UPTV. I hope this is not the direction they are going to go.
I have only one word to describe these ugh.
ReplyDeleteI won't be watching any of them.
Very disappointed with UPtv at the minute - there are a few Rom.Coms out there which they might have picked up - although I don't know anything about the financial aspect - Florence
interesting.
