Happy last weekend of March, everyone!
We are certainly MARCHing right through the year. Spring is truly a delightful season!
The Hallmark Channel is airing their second *Spring into Love* movie this weekend, Hearts Around The Table: Shari's Second Act, which brings back many of the same characters from last week's premiere, Hearts Around The Table: Jenna's First Love.
And all of us County Rescue fans won't want to miss the finale episode of Season 2 this Sunday night. Hopefully, we will eventually receive news on a season 3 for this series soon!
Plus, I have a special reminder below for Hearties and Hopefuls!
See all the details below...
Saturday, March 29, 2025:

Storyline: Shari just moved back to D.C. after a breakup and hopes to start painting again. Inspiration hits when she meets Evan, a repairman who winds up actually being a gallery owner.
Sunday, March 30, 2025:

Episode 6 - Out of the Ashes:
Dani reconciles with the team and Duke returns to his position at County Rescue; Dani prioritizes family time and enlists Griffin to help the team prank Scotty.
Hearties and Hopefuls...

For those of you Hearties who are going to be missing When Calls the Heart this Sunday night, we are now just one week away from When Hope Calls premiering on Great American Family (and Super Channel Heart & Home in Canada) on Sunday, April 6th at 8pm/7c!
Also, good news for Super Channel Heart & Home viewers, you can catch a marathon of When Hope Calls season 1, along with the Christmas episodes that begin season 2, before the NEW season 2 premiere on April 6th. (If you have Great American Pure Flix, the streaming premiere date is Thursday, April 3rd!)

When Hope Calls is a spin-off series from When Calls the Heart. The two main characters from the first season of When Hope Calls, sisters Lillian and Grace, first visited Hope Valley at Christmastime in "When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing." This was a very special episode that aired between seasons 5 and 6 on Christmas day in 2018. (the image above is from that Christmas special - click here to enlarge)
These two series are mostly separate from one another; however, the inaugural season of When Hope Calls featured guest appearances from When Calls the Heart characters: Mountie Nathan Grant and Lee and Rosemary Coulter.
The first two Christmas episodes of season two featured three familiar characters from Hope Valley: Abigail Stanton, along with her son, Cody, and a dream appearance by Mountie Jack Thornton.
I created a fun video below that I recently shared on Instagram for all the Hearties out there who are missing When Calls the Heart. I thought it would be enjoyable to share it with everyone here, as well. (click the image below to play)
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! I'm planning a busy one with my family, but I also hope to squeeze in some movies I haven't seen, yet... and I'm definitely looking forward to the County Rescue finale. The EMTs have formed an incredible team this season, facing various challenges both at work and in their personal lives. Even with these obstacles, they continually uplift each other, and Dani, Ashley, and Andy draw strength from their faith to keep going, positively impacting those around them.
Please note: I haven't pre-screened the NEW movie listed above. If you'd like to post a review on whether a film is family-friendly, please share in comments below.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Hallmark and GAF for me this weekend. :) -Maria
ReplyDeleteThis scripture verse, Joshua 1:9, is a verse that I've been meditating on for a few weeks now and have put to memory. Then I see you posted it here today Net. Another one of those Godincidences that always amazes me.
ReplyDeleteAmen Jim! I love when that happens and we absolutely know that is God encouraging us 😊

Jim, That is beautiful! I absolutely believe that God speaks to us in all sorts of ways... Godwinks! Bless you, my friend! :)
DeleteI am really sad WCTH is over, but glad When Hope Calls is coming soon. Although I might have to wait until it’s on DVD. I can’t afford to pay for another subscription right now.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone here watch the Chicken Sisters? It kind of looks good and I was thinking of watching, but wondered if anyone knew if it was good. Is there a Season 2 coming?
ReplyDeleteSabrina
Sabrina, sorry but all that I’ve heard suggests not family friendly. I would suggest reading Maria’s review of it. It’s not worth it.
DeleteSabrina, Thank you for mentioning the "Chicken Sisters" series. I meant to say something about it in my post above.
DeleteFrom what I've heard, there is a same-sex couple added to the show in the second episode.
Common Sense Media has a good review of it here:

Somewhat missing Sunday morning that replay every Sunday morning When Calls the Heart: S12 E12 but it’s turned out to be Reba on TV Guide?

It's a family weekend for me, so I might not watch much. Two of my sons are coming in from out of town, and the other is local, so we'll all be together.

Deletedstoutholcomb, Awww... glad you had such a wonderful family weekend! Were you celebrating your husband's birthday early? (You did say his b-day was on April 3rd, too, am I right??)

Praying for those here during these tornado storms. It’s coming our way so we are thinking of driving away to Lexington in case it really is a F5. I may be away for sometime.
ReplyDeletePlanning on finishing Joy for Christmas tonight before the storm hits. Might as well enjoy tonight!😀 Stay safe!
I’m in a Hotel in Hurricane, WV while there’s a Tornado weather in my home KY. Funny considering the name. ;)
DeleteJoan, how is going in Louisville? Praying for you.
Hi Abigail,
DeleteThank you so much for your prayers! We are all going to need them unfortunately. We did have several weak tornadoes touch down in and around the Louisville area. Not much damage thankfully. But, as you know, there are more storms coming and a ton of rain and we are expecting life threatening flooding throughout the state of Kentucky. I have been praying non-stop and my anxiety level is through the roof! :-(
Also, like Net, my dad's birthday is this coming Thursday and we are going to have to postpone a celebration. Abigail, thank you again for your prayers and for thinking about me! Hugs!
Hi Net,
Happy early birthday wishes!
Abigail and Joan, I've been keeping you both in my prayers, along with family members who live in your area, as well. These spring storms are not to be taken lightly. So scary. We had some intense moments on Sunday, as well, but the main destruction hit north of us.
DeleteAnd, yes, I've been hearing about the possibility of 5-6 inches of rain in Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana. That doesn't sound good at all. Is that what you're hearing too?
I'm sorry you'll have to postpone your birthday plans, Joan, for your dad. I know you'll make up for it when you can. Just be safe, my friend, and take care. Hopefully, it all won't be as bad as the weather people are saying. They've been wrong before, and I hope and pray that will be the case this time.
Thank you for your sweet early birthday wish for me. That means so much to me with all you are going through.
God bless you both... Joan and Abigail, and everyone reading this who lives close around that area. We'll all be praying! Hugs to you all!!!!
These storms always rattle me and we’ve been having a lot of them lately. I’ll continue to pray for you Joan and your family here Net. And we have a storm coming on Wednesday and Thursday. And I’ve heard they are worse. I’m really praying our trees are not weakened from the last one.
DeleteOoh, sorry Joan about postponing your dad’s birthday. I hope it all works out for you.
Happy two days early Birthday Net! If you decide to do a When Hope Calls Cake, share those pictures. Your other ones look so neat! And thank you so much for praying, it means a lot to me.
We’ve been watching this guy whenever we’ve had storms. He’s so helpful. And always is live during a storm. His name is Max Velocity.

Gotta watch last week’s ep of County Rescue and then the finale on Sunday. Great series, but needs more time with so many different storylines going on. Do you think they’ll bring it back?
ReplyDeleteI love your When Calls the Heart/When Hope Calls video, Net. Sunday night won’t be the same without WCTH ☹️, but glad we have When Hope Calls next week!!!! 😊
Allie B, I know just what you mean. Sunday night really felt different, kinda strange, without WCTH; I'm also glad we'll have When Hope Calls this Sunday!!! :)
DeleteAbigail, I'll be keeping you and your family in my prayers! Stay safe, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAww! Thanks so much Mark 25 for praying! We just came home today after a day in W. Virginia. The Lord was good to us. We came so close to it going bad, but it lessened when it came to my city. Not only was our home safe from fallen trees, but we had a great family time on that drive. All six of us, and my corgi is a great car companion. He loves to lay on the seat. He was so happy, I didn’t mind that I had dog hair all over me. ;)
DeleteThank you for praying Mark, it made me feel better. I always get anxious during storms and I appreciate your prayers. You’re a good friend.
Shari's Second Act is another sweet entry in the collection! -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, I so appreciate your review! Wonderful to hear this news!!! :)

Amazing finale of County Rescue! -Maria
ReplyDeleteI just loved this season of County Rescue-I did the review on the GAF site and let them know that I love this series, but that the episodes/season needs to be longer, and I also mentioned that sometimes it seems like it is too edited and that we aren't getting the full story-those are my only complaints about the show! I love all of the actors in it, and Julia Reilly was especially terrific this season. I also loved the dedication to Keller Fornes-I'm sure his family appreciated that.
ReplyDeleteSarah, Thank you for sharing your review of CR. I agree, the timing seems too short and it doesn't do the characters full justice. It was a wonderful season/finale all around.
DeleteThank you for sharing your thoughts! :)
