  1. Lifetime has never been very interesting to me, even during my 'obsessed with Hallmark' faze, and before Lifetime started going woke in 2019.. And this lineup, well. I'm not sure if i want to say it looks as bad as Hallmark's, but it's not very good looking either.

Most of these actors I either don't know, or look very uninteresting to me. A lot of these movies either look very bland or dirty.

I'd say there's probably only 2 or 3 or even less out of this lineup that I'm interested in. Looks like UP TV, GAF, and probably ION will definitely be my main hideout for good new movies this Season. Hoping to catch some of Lifetime's older and better movies this year. -Maria

  2. Santa Bootcamp has Deanne Bray which puts it on my list. Sue Thomas F.B.Eye was one of my favorite shows when it was on. I'm hoping for some signing.

Baking all the Way has Yannick Bisson and I'm always happy when he shows up.
The 12 days of Christmas Eve looks interesting and possibly Reindeer Games Homecoming,

A lot of favorite actors seem to be missing this year.

  3. I feel like it's impossible to know which ones are actually going to stand out, so I'll just wait to be surprised and delighted--that mindset helps me thwart disappointment. :-) I'm fortunate to have good internet, so the 40+ Lifetime Christmas favorites they're promising to offer via streaming is pretty exciting! Hopefully there will be some good ones from past years that I can catch for the first time.

  4. I hope that for both Lifetime and Hallmark that there's some kind of advance notice (like in a promo pic or in the promo itself) with most of these movies for well, bad stuff so that we know which ones are going to be bad. Saves having to try and get through the movie and see the junk. -Maria

  5. Some of the movies look bad, and it seems the theme this year is a pop singer, or country singer, or actress.

Baking all the way, there is a large age gap in the 2 leads, honestly Yannick could almost be her dad. I just really hate the movies when they try and pass the actors off as the same age and it is obvious they arent.

There are a handfull that look good. Reindeer Games, six degrees of santa, Santa Bootcamp, 12 Days of Christmas Eve, Christmas Spark, then some movies that were from another year like A Recipe for Joy, Wrapped up in love, and then Record Breaking Christmas looks good too.

I have to say more of these movies look good than most of Hallmark or HMM. I am OVER the singer or actress comes home movies.

I am hoping Lifetime will play older christmas movies like Snowed Inn and A Gift Wrapped Christmas cause i need to record them on my new DVR we got at end of december last year.

  6. One other thing, Lifetime is giving Hallmark a run for its money on the Thanksgiving weekend movies, with Lifetime seeming to win for me. They have Jana Kramer, Kelsey Grammer, and the Jane Seymor movie.

I like that there seems to be more santa type movies on Life. And I am way long over the A Christmas Carol storylines.

  7. Interestingly there's one site which has had all these movies posted as airing on Lifetime for a couple of weeks now wherever they got that information.

I was expecting maybe 35 or so.

I see A Recipe For Joy and Wrapped Up In Love which Lifetime purchased from Reel One in 2021 have eventually turned up.

I'll avoid A Christmas To Treasure at all costs plus all those where one of the leads has been married before.

I certainly won't watch Steppin' Into Christmas - Mario Lopez (together with Benjamin Ayres) are the two most boring actors I have ever come across.

The ones which look to me the best are Reindeer Games Homecoming, Baking All The Way, Holiday Dating Guide and Record Breaking Christmas plus the one that really stands out for me Single And Ready To Jingle with Edward Ruttle.

Edward was in the disastrous A Honeymoon To Remember (although in all honesty the problem with that was the female lead).

In the trailer he looks almost a different person and the chemistry is leaping out of the screen - Florence

  8. I'm bitterly disappointed that they've chosen to go with Christmas On Mistletoe Lake as the Corey Sevier showcase.

I was hoping for Christmas Plus One in which he stars with Erin Agostino - the trailer is really good.

It looks like we may never get a chance to see this movie now but I'll keep hoping - Florence

    1. Florence, I was hoping to see that movie, too! I didn't watch the trailer, but I was intrigued by the poster and storyline. Hope we don't have to wait until next Christmas to see it!

  9. I noticed Bethany Joy Lenz is missing from any channels Christmas. she is always in a movie for either Lifetime or Hallmark every year. I will miss her, i like her. No Chad Michael Murray either. Or Jessy shram.

    1. Sabrina, Same here! Bethany is so great in a number of excellent Christmas movies on Hallmark & Lifetime. That is rather strange she didn't do one for either network this year. Love Christmas Secret, Five Star Christmas, Snowed-Inn Christmas, etc...

I, too, will also miss Chad and Jessy. Perhaps, they are all involved in other projects. I know Chad is working on a new series.

  10. Now that Lifetime has declared I have started compiling my journal of the full list in chronological order ( the four biggies plus Fox Nation and CBS) so I can decide what to record, what to watch, and what to ignore.

it would have been to messy to start this before now.

I just hope it's similar to last year and they don't start messing the slots around.

For a few years there there really was an awful lot of this.

There's still a few more to come from ION and (maybe) BYUtv.

More than ever this year there are a lot of new Christmas movies out there which no-one has picked up. - Florence

  12. I noticed that Lifetime is airing Christmas movies again on Friday night, 10/21/22. More importantly. they are also airing Christmas movies ALL DAY on Monday, 10/24/22 starting at 7:00 AM CST. There are also a few of their Christmas movies available at the website’s store, although quite a few are sold out. I am just a fan of family-friendly Christmas movies! From Lifetime, I especially enjoy “Comfort and Joy” and movies with Tatyana Ali and the Mowry sisters. “Comfort and Joy” is impossible to find. I hope it will be available on their app or on their website when I click on “Lifetime Classics”. Speaking of the website, I find it strange that now that their 2022 Christmas movie info has been released, they don’t have Christmas as a selection on their website menu anymore, and they haven’t put promo info somewhere on their website homepage yet.

    1. Thank you so much for sharing this Lifetime news! I noticed the Christmas movies on the 21st a few days ago, but I had not seen the addition of Christmas movies all day on the 24th, yet. How fun! I will definitely have to tune in to some of those that day to see if they share any holiday promos.

Also, they are playing Dear Christmas again on the 28th!

    3. Net, Thank you for mentioning that!!! So far in my movie-watching career, I have never put a movie on my calendar, but I'm putting "A Gift Wrapped Christmas" on there right now so I don't miss getting it on the dvr. Such a cute movie.

  14. Single and Ready to Jingle is NOT family friendly. A woman introduces another woman as her wife.

  15. I'll admit, I was plesently surprised by how many movies from this lineup I ended up watching! I thought I'd only watch just a couple because I thought almost every movie would be bad. Nice little improvement over last year's lineup.
Here's my rankings of the movies I watched:

    #1, Steppin into the Holiday
#2, The 12 Days of Christmas Eve
#3, Kirk Franklin's The Night Before Christmas
    #4, Record Breaking Christmas
    #5, Reindeer Games Homecoming
    #6, Scentsational Christmas
    #7, Six Degrees of Santa
#8, Cloudy with a Chance of Christmas
    #9, Baking All the Way
    #10, A Recipe for Joy

    1. Yes.

I've probably still over half of them to watch but from those that I have Lifetime has definitely upped their game this year - Florence
