It's disappointing we won't have the kitten bowl this Sunday on the Hallmark Channel, which used to be an annual tradition on the day of the Super Bowl. However, you can still see the Puppy Bowl on Discovery+ and Animal Planet, which includes a halftime show with cats!
UPDATE: Variety.com is exclusively reporting today-
"The Kitten Bowl, once a Hallmark Channel staple, has officially moved to GAC Media, Variety can exclusively reveal. The new special, set to premiere on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, will be titled “Great American Rescue Bowl.”
So... we can look forward to the kitties returning next year, along with cats, puppies and dogs, on GAC! As a cat and dog lover myself, I'm so happy to hear this news. Bill Abbott, the CEO of GAC Media, has been such a champion for finding homes for orphaned animals. I'm so glad these cats (and dogs, too!) have found a new home on GAC Family!
I hope you all have a lovely, relaxing weekend. Always remember... God loves you with an everlasting love. Praise God for His unfailing love!
All three of the new Rom-Coms look good on paper - Florence
ReplyDeleteI agree, Florence! Hope they are all good ones! :)
DeleteGood news: GAC Family has saved the Kitten Bowl for next year! -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, I'm so glad they made this official today! We knew they were mulling over the idea; I was delighted they announced this decision so quickly. Plus, it's nice they are going to include dogs, too! :)
DeleteHi Net, The Story of Love is listed twice on the list you have on the right of the page, just checking if that is correct or if another movie showing? Thanks, I am so thankful for your site!
ReplyDeleteThat second listing is supposed to be the movie: The Song to My Heart. Thank you for letting me know. I fixed it in the sidebar.

The Wedding Veil Unveiled is family friendly & it’s based on the book called; “There Goes the Bride” by Lori Wilde. Avery’s friend named Emma Loughery is a Professor whose takes course American Art History for her class & she is still processing the end of a long-distance relationship, is traveling to Italy to teach a course on American Art History in Italy & she takes a supposedly an ancient 19th century magical wedding veil with her on a trip to Venice with her & planning to research its origins in her free time. Paolo loves to correct Emma’s Italian words & Emma never did figure out how to pronounce certain words correctly. Emma’s research leads her to the island town of Burano, which is known for its handcrafted lace. Emma meets a dashing Italian man named Paolo di Stefano, Grandson of the owner of the older shop on the island. It turns out that the wedding veil has a special connection to his family. Together, she & Paolo work to find out how the veil made its way from Italy to an antique store in San Francisco. Emma & Paolo spend more time together, she starts to fall for him. She’s not sure she’s ready for another long-distance romance, but the wedding veil may have other plans. Fate doesn’t need help, it’s just happens, American ones. The bride on portrait by Claudio Amici named Arianna di Stefano who married to Count de Marco who related to Paolo’s Great Great Great Grandfather’s Sister. Emma goes to Library for research for Claudio Amici. Emma faces time with her friends named Tracy & Avery on their Laptop Computers. Emma & Paolo go to see a guy has his Grandma Carmella who works for Great Great Great Aunt La Conessa di Marco. She gave it to her Daughter named Claudia. He had a Cousin named Angela whose moved to US & after war, lost in touch with her. Claudio & Arianna fell in love on 1889, Chambermaid’s Daughter Claudia’s christening gown. She is their Daughter. Adrianna had no intended to keep this wedding veil. Maria believes if found it found its way to Emma for a reason. Paolo’s family opens their own store in New York. 6 months later, Paolo & Emma’s Wedding Day in Chicago, IL.. Paolo’s whole family job in new store in Chicago instead of New York. Tracy’s turn to wear 19th century wedding veil for her next Wedding Day. The Wedding Veil possesses its find true love seems magical.

Harmony from the Heart is another big win for GAC Family!! And 2 new movies next month?! Squeal!! -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, So great to hear your positive review for "Harmony from the Heart!" I'm also excited about the two movies airing next month on GAC Family, even though I've seen Trevor's! I'll have a post up with them both tomorrow.

With all this build up to Aurora, I fear this is the last movie. I know there have been a lot, but it is a series you can always count on for a good movie.
ReplyDeleteSabrina
Sabrina, Oh, I hope not! Hopefully, the ratings for "Aurora Teagarden" will be good this week and weekend and they will plan to make more.
DeleteI imagine the expense for creating these is pretty high, though, since they already have a large cast, then they have to bring in more actors for potential suspects.
I sure hope it continues; I would love to see Aurora and Nick start a family.
I forgot to post about the POstables marathon. Those are some of my favorite movies, but i just think those movies have such great writing.
ReplyDeleteIn Truth Be Told--Shane tells Oliver, Well i dont have any plans to leave, if that matters. Then Oliver says, It Matters. I just love shane and oliver developing all the way thru this series.
I also enjoyed the Monk marathon on Sunday.
Sabrina
Sabrina - Oh my goodness, YES!!! The "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movies are the best and the writing is top-notch. I was in and out on Saturday and couldn't see them all, but I was literally putting away groceries and watching "The Impossible Dream" with tears in my eyes. It's so beautiful the way our military went in to save one American solder, leaving no one behind. It's so sad we don't have that policy today. My heart is breaking for the Americans who are now in Ukraine, and especially those still in Afghanistan, too.
DeleteThank you so much for sharing. Glad you enjoyed the SSD marathon and Monk, too! I caught some of Monk on Sunday, too! Wouldn't it be great if those writers could write a new Hallmark movie? Those are all so incredible.
Blessings! Net
Harmony Of The Heart is close to perfection! What a beautiful story! Loved everything about this movie. I have watched it 3 times already. The singing blew me away.
ReplyDeleteTo Bill Abbott I say "THANK YOU" for giving us these beautiful stories. Praying God will bless GAC to soar above all expectations.
kitkat! Wow! What a fantastic review for "Harmony from the Heart!" I'm ecstatic to hear how much you enjoyed it!!!
DeleteI feel the same way towards Bill Abbott, and I'm looking forward to what they have planned in the future as the channel grows. I'm really curious to see if they might plan something special around Easter Sunday. Perhaps, another episode of "The Chosen" or something else?
By the way, we were saving "Harmony Of The Heart" to watch tonight on Valentine's day, but we ended watching just a little late last night and so far, it is soooo good! Can't wait to finish tonight! :)
I shared your review here:

Net,something about Easter on GAC would be wonderful. The Chosen would be perfect. Are you listening Bill Abbott?
DeleteI just watched Love Stories in Sunflower Valley last week. I would highly recommend it. Loved everything about it, Drew's politeness to Kate's sweet parents, all the couples telling their stories of how Olivia matched them, the kindness Drew shows to Kate at the mid-end, and of course the many, many sunflowers EVERYWHERE in the small town. I really enjoyed it. Loved Erin and Marcus together.
ReplyDeletePlanning to watch the Unveiled movie tonight with my mom. Looking forward to it. ❤πΊ
Abigail, So glad you enjoyed it! "Love Stories in Sunflower Valley" was one of my favorites from UP last year. It is such a sweet, lighthearted story! In fact, I caught some of it last night on UP. Thank you for sharing! :)

The Wedding Veil Unveiled...
ReplyDeleteThis movie was wonderful and 100% clean and family friendly. I really enjoyed all of it. Loved his Italian family and the chemistry between the two of them was great.
Also, just love the whole plot of these three friends and the historical wedding veil. Hope Hallmark continues more like this.
Happy Valentine's Day to you all!π
P.S. Autumn Reeser's dresses and high waisted pants were so cute on her.
Abigail, Thank you for sharing this review for the latest Wedding Veil movie! I'm most happy to know it is family friendly. hoping the same for the final movie, too!
DeleteThe Wedding Veil Unveiled is very charming! I'm very glad at how clean this trilogy has been! Hopefully the last one can still be a good one. -Maria
ReplyDeleteMaria, Thank you for sharing. So nice to hear how much you enjoyed "The Wedding Veil: Unveiled." I'm hoping the last one is just as good!
DeleteSo wish I had GAC! Some of the GAC movies have showed up on Prime, but it's not the case sadly with Harmony from the Heart (and so many great reviews!!). I did watch The Wedding Veil Unveiled, and I was not at all impressed. I am not sure I can put my finger on it, but I don't think the role was well suited for Autumn Reeser, one of my favorites. The location was gorgeous, of course, but I think it lacked chemistry and I admit I was confused about the mystery as well. I might be in the minority, but so far, I am not impressed with either Wedding Veil story, but maybe the third one will be the charm. Also, so very disappointed at the lack of new Valentine's movies from Hallmark. I find myself watching less and less. Thanks, Net, and I hope you had a nice Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteSavvyy Girl & Net
DeleteSo happy to see someone say that didn't like "The Wedding Veil Unveiled". I thought I thought I was the only one!! I just could not get into that movie! The role just didn't seem to fit Autumn Reeser. I finally changed the channel and watched Harmony of the Heart...great movie by the way!
Savvy Girl & Joyce, Thank you for sharing how you truly felt about "The Wedding Veil Unveiled." I've been wondering if it would match up with all of the hype. I hear it did well in the ratings, but that doesn't mean anything in regards to viewers liking it.
DeleteAnyway, good to hear you enjoyed "Harmony for the Heart," Joyce! I loved it, too! :)
Very interesting and surprising that despite the good viewing figures (3.29m) and mostly favourable reaction to The Wedding Veil The Wedding Veil Unveiled had less than 2.6m watching and was even below the 2.72 for Butlers In Love the previous week.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what sort of viewing figures the GAC movies are getting? - Florence
