  1. Awesome list of Christmas movies! It's great to see a few new releases upcoming for this year already announced. Besides those I'll probably get the Garfield DVD, Yes Virginia, Brady Bunch, Operation Christmas, Broadcasting Christmas, A December Bride, Finding Father Christmas, Every Christmas Has A Story, Christmas Cookies, and so on! I had no idea how many favorites I had from last year alone.

By the way, I would still love to see Matchmaker Santa and Window Wonderland on DVD. Maybe those who can make that happen will see this. Thanks Net for providing this list.

    1. Oh, you're welcome! As you know, I love Christmas!

And, I also LOVE your "wish list" of Christmas movies, Mary! I love all of those, too, plus I would love to see "Matchmaker Santa" and "Window Wonderland" on DVD someday! Excellent picks!

    1. The movie "A Cinderella Christmas" with Peter Porte ("Love at the Shore") is especially cute! My family and I really enjoyed it. Very sweet, with a Hallmark-esque feel and Happy Ending!

  3. I'm still waiting on Window Wonderland. It was one of my favorites from the 2013 season. Fingers crossed they finally release it this year. There were also so many good ones from last Christmas I'm hoping they'll release like Love You Like Christmas, My Christmas Love, Sleigh Bells Ring and The Christmas List just to name a few. On another note, I did notice over the weekend that my two favorite Hallmark Fall Harvest movies will be available to buy later this month on Amazon Video...Harvest Moon and October Kiss. Finally!! - Melissa

And, yes, I agree... it's great to see Harvest Moon and October Kiss - finally on Amazon Video! Typically, that means the DVDs are coming, too!!! Hope so!!!

Thank you for commenting, Melissa! Blessings to you, Net :)

  5. Hi Net, Thanks for this list - it is nice to have all of the upcoming releases in one place. Lots of re-releases or repackagings, but that's okay. I wish I understood why Hallmark decides to release a few Christmas movies in January, but at lease they are getting released at some point.

    1. You're welcome, Mark! Glad you enjoyed the list of Christmas movies! Since Hallmark has 33 Christmas movies coming this year, I'm hoping we will hear of even more DVD releases - coming soon, at least!

I, too, think it would be much better to release them before Christmas! I can imagine Santa would snatch up lots of Hallmark Christmas movie DVDs and put them in our stockings - if he could!

Perhaps, they think come January we are all missing Christmas movies on TV so much that we will purchase the DVDs to fill that void. It's a thought, anyway.

Or, maybe... they just won't be manufactured and ready to purchase until then. Who knows?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Blessings to you, Net

  8. I'm glad to know that Finding Father Christmas will have a sequel this Christmas. Just be aware that the Hanna Barbera DVD doesn't have the triple feature listed in the description, nor does it show the back. Ashish from Amazon Customer Service said they won't list the details until it's released. I told them then they won't get anyone to pre-order it, because who wants to buy something when they don't know what they are getting. The DVD that is another triple feature shows the back of the DVD and has Elf, A Miser Brothers Christmas, and a year without a Santa Claus.

    1. That is interesting, Cathie. I checked into this and discovered the cartoons on the Hanna-Barbera Holiday Triple Feature DVD are:

•A Flintstones Christmas Carol- With just one shopping day until Christmas, Fred has completely forgotten to buy any gifts- he's even left Pebbles stranded at Cave Care Center! But Wilma and some familiar ghosts help Fred remember the true meaning of the season. Join the entire Flintstones gang in this hilarious stone-age version of the magical holiday classic.

•Yogi Bear's All- Star Comedy Christmas Caper- Catch the holiday spirit with Yogi, Boo-Boo, Snagglepuss and Quick Draw McGraw as they venture into the big city on one wild Christmas adventure after another! The Flintstones, Huckleberry Hound, Augie Doggie and more also join in, making this a Christmas caper full of animated favorites for the whole hungry family.

•The Smurfs Holiday Celebration- Deck the halls with the Smurfs in these charming animated specials. Watch the Sassette Smurf discover the season, Gargamel plots to ruin Christmas and, despite having no Christmas decorations or feast, the Smurfs still have a smurfy song in their hearts. This wacky collection is the smurfiest gift of the season.

Hope this information is helpful to you. They all sound extra cute!

By the way... I'm also looking forward to the continuing story of "Finding Father Christmas." Loved Erin Krakow and Niall Matter together last year, and I'm sure they will great again this year, too!!!

Thank you for sharing, Cathie!!! Blessings, Net

As far as Gilmore Girls goes... I don't know much about the series, but is this maybe what you are referring to:
Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life: Season 1.

  12. Disney also has Mickey Mouse Merry & Scary coming out September 26. It's not available for pre-order on Amazon, because they don't do Disney film pre-orders anymore, but you can pre-order on Wal-Mart or Target site, or wait until after release date and Amazon should have it available.

It includes animated specials for both Halloween (Mickey Mouse: The Scariest Story Ever) and Christmas (Mickey Mouse: Duck the Halls). My family especially adored Duck the Halls last year, and the Halloween special is new for 2017 and will air on the Disney Channel at some point in October.

The original DVD release date was August 29, but it was pushed back for some reason. Maybe not to air before the show was on TV?

  13. Ooh, thanks for sharing the news! I'm happy to see several of my favorites from last year. I'll definitely be getting "Operation Christmas," "Finding Father Christmas," and "Christmas Cookies." Also happy to see Mr. Miracle is finally being released.

I will add my "vote" for a "Window Wonderland" DVD. The other one I would most like to have on DVD is "The Christmas Shepherd," one of my all-time favorites. Also "Dashing Through the Snow" and "On the Twelfth Day of Christmas." And of course a whole lot more from last year, like "Love Always, Santa," "The Sound of Christmas," "My Christmas Love," "A Nutcracker Christmas," and I could go on and on! :)

I can't believe there are only 51 days left before new Christmas movies!! Yippee!!! :)

I second all the movie picks you selected! It's getting tougher and tougher to choose favorites every year and with the addition of all the great ones on HMM, too, it's nearly impossible!

I agree -- If only they would release "Window Wonderland" on DVD! I think I've mentioned maybe once or twice (HA!) that it's also on my most wanted list, too! I'm so glad we all love it - maybe one day they will hear us and release it!!!

Thank so much for sharing in the fun!!! :)

    1. Oh my goodness... I 100% agree!!! I absolutely loved the movie "A Gift Wrapped Christmas" in 2015 on Lifetime! Travis Milne (AKA Charlie Baker!), as you mentioned, was spectacular in it and so was Meredith Hagner, who starred in Hallmark Channel's "My Christmas Love" last year. I loved every minute of it and would love to see it on DVD, too!!! Thank you so much for mentioning it!!! :)

    4. Broadcasting Christmas was good. Small Town Santa was also a good Dean Cain Christmas movie. Also, try Trading Christmas... It's made by the same writer who made dashing through the snow. It has Tom Cavanaugh He's a writer who wants time alone. Kind of like The Holiday... Swapping houses, except the friend of the woman he is borrowing her house to do his work, ends up there with him, throws in her few hundred cents and it is comical and a romance builds.

I'd buy all of these if they put them on dvd as I am sure many others would too. And you are right Net. They would make great stocking stuffers except I'd need an awful big stocking for all of these. 2. A Dream Of Christmas surprised me. She was putting an ornament on the tree on her step ladder after foolishly wishing that she wasn't married. Her wish came true, she was rich exec... and saw her husband, only he isn't anymore. So she tries to get him back... So eat the cake, and frosting... Except... He doesn't want her, so she must choose between the old life and the new life. Great movie.

  33. Countdown to Christmas has wrapped for 2017 and I'm looking forward to some new releases from Hallmark and other networks. So many this year that I want on DVD. Sleigh Bells Ring, Christmas in Homestead, Catch a Christmas Star, Miss Christmas, Royal New Year's Eve are just a few. I was also disappointed that One Winter Weekend in Hallmarks 2018 Winterfest, was not a sequel to My Summer Prince. Love Taylor Cole and Jack Turn in that movie and would loved to seen it as a sequel. They are so good together. Did enjoy other networks Christmas movies but to much to mention. Would be here all night listing. Thanks for the Chance to comment.

  36. Thanks for this DVD list, Net! I've been missing the Christmas movies day and night since January 1. I've been trying to get into the other movies, but they just aren't Christmas. Lately, I've found myself popping in my Christmas DVDS more and more.

  40. I would like to see Lacey Chabert missed movies on hallmark DVD (Matchmaker Santa) (A Family For Christmas) And her new Valentines Day Movie (My Secret Valentine) Also I would like to see Hello Sister Goodbye Life get released, even though it was an ABC family movie, I want it on DVD. Back to hallmark... A Dream Of Christmas would be also nice on DVD and also.... Finding Santa (Eric Winter) And also An oldie never on DVD hallmark movie (Christmas Secret / Reindeer Fly) 2000 movie starring Richard Thomas and Beau Bridges.... Also Dashing through the snow... Here's hoping to see those on DVD... Watching Hallmark movies at Christmas helps me to celebrate the holidays a little more cheerful instead of the new stuff movies in theaters put out... Too much junk... But not on Hallmark... Bring it Hallmark...

    1. The movie that made me get hooked on Lacey was A Royal Christmas, that is my sister's all time favorite... I think the Sweetest Christmas and Royal Christmas and The Color Of Rain are some of my favorites. A Family For Christmas and matchmaker Santa I never seen all the way through... Lacey Chabert has impressed me through her movies, and I like that she sees movies similar as I do... Sick of the worldly junk and love to see Hallmark because it is uplifting, family friendly and brings hope and closeness. Love it.

  42. I would like to add a few more Christmas TV Favorites I have in my collection... These are good ones in my book.

    1. The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year - A snowbound stranger (Warren Christie) brightens the holidays for a retired police officer (Henry Winkler) and his niece (Brooke Burns).

    2. The Color Of Rain - While consoling each other over the recent loss of their spouses, a man (Warren Christie) and a woman (Lacey Chabert) grow close and fall in love.

    3. A Bride For Christmas - Aiden (Andrew Walker) bets his friends that he can convince a woman to marry him by Christmas, and he sets his sights on Jessie (Arielle Kebbel), a young woman who has sworn off serious relationships.

    4. A Royal Christmas - The queen (Jane Seymour) of Cordinia schemes to break up her royal son's (Stephen Hagan) romance with a seamstress (Lacey Chabert) from Philadelphia.

    5. All Of My Heart - After inheriting half of a house, a young woman (Lacey Chabert) develops an unexpected relationship with her co-owner.

    6. All Of My Heart: Inn Love (Released February 2018) - Brian and Jenny are preparing for the grand opening of their bed and breakfast, Emily's Country Inn, when a big storm hits Buck County. Brian agrees to go back to Wall Street to boost their funds, while Jenny scrambles to keep the opening on track. Lacey Chabert & Orig. Cast Returns.

    7. Sweetest Christmas - A struggling pastry chef is thrilled to learn that she has made it to the finals of the American Gingerbread Competition, but distractions in her love life threaten to derail her dreams of taking home the grand prize. Lacey Chabert. Jonathan Adams

And to just name a few more titles...

Crown For Christmas... My Christmas Dream... Journey Back To Christmas... A Wish For Christmas... Christmas Melody... Let It Snow... And Northpole 1 & 2 & Snow 1 & 2 And Santa Baby 1 & 2 (Santa Baby 2 is the better movie.) A Mom For Christmas... Olivia Newton John Disney club only... And also Christmas Carol 1999 Patrick Stewart... Just to name a few...

Bring on Finding Santa, Matchmaker Santa, A dream Of Christmas & A Family For Christmas & Why not My Secret Valentine (Lacey Chabert)

    Sorry I posted so much...

    1. These are all excellent Hallmark movie picks, Jason! Glad you are able to have so many that you love in your DVD collection! Like you, there are still many I am hoping to see one day on DVD. (such as: many of the ones you mentioned + "Window Wonderland" and the beloved favorite from ABC family: "The Christmas List" AKA: "The Perfume Lady")

It does, sometimes, take some time for them to come to DVD, and it seems for some, we will have to keep on hoping and wishing!!!

You have such a nice collection. I have many of the same ones (not quite all), and all of the Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies, which are wonderful and inspiring!

Lacey is definitely one of my favorites, as well. I have all of hers, that are available, and I sure hope one day they release "Matchmaker Santa"! But, since that was originally a PixL movie, that's most likely where the issue is. If you have any way to record it off TV, I would definitely suggest doing that.

Thank you for commenting! Blessings, Net

    2. These in particular are very inspiring movies...

      This one is just fun...
      4. A Royal Christmas - The queen (Jane Seymour) of Cordinia schemes to break up her royal son's (Stephen Hagan) romance with a seamstress (Lacey Chabert) from Philadelphia.

      And I love...
      7. Sweetest Christmas - A struggling pastry chef is thrilled to learn that she has made it to the finals of the American Gingerbread Competition, but distractions in her love life threaten to derail her dreams of taking home the grand prize. Lacey Chabert. Jonathan Adams

But if you want two more suggestions... Good Clean, inspiring and tear jerkers in a good way, not sad, but happy....

      1. Dreamer - Ben Crane (Kurt Russell) is a horse trainer who is struggling to connect with his precocious daughter, Cale (Dakota Fanning). But then a horse by the name of Soรฑador suffers a broken leg after its evil owner (David Morse) races her despite Ben's advice. Rather than put his client's injured horse down, Ben adopts her and welcomes Cale into the family business. They train Soรฑador to race again as grouchy but kind-hearted Grandpa (Kris Kristofferson) lends his encouragement.

      2. Savannah Smiles - Savannah (Bridgette Andersen) is the daughter of a neglectful politician who is consumed by his U.S. Senate campaign. She decides to run away, hiding in the car of two men on the run from the law. Alvie (Mark Miller) and Boots (Donovan Scott) initially try to use her to obtain a hefty reward for her return, but a bond grows among the three runaways. Their relationship is tested when the convicts, now seen as kidnappers, must choose between their freedom and their new friend.

This movie is being re-released May 22nd 2018 on Blu Ray for the first time, and DVD (Better Quality) Ignore Cheesy Flicks 2006 version... It's bad quality.
