My Movie Reviews:

I personally share my movie reviews from a Christian view point. I'll let you know if a movie is family-friendly, better suited for a certain age group, or one you might want to skip.

Where to find the Movie Reviews at *It's a Wonderful Movie*...

The movie reviews are easy to find! Simply visit the "MADE for TV" MOVIE PAGE - CLICK HERE! Movies are listed by network, theme or season. Simply click on the title of the movie you want a review for - and you'll be sent directly to it's page!

For Christmas movies, you'll need to visit this link... Christmas Movie Reviews - 2020!

Something NEW added to the Christmas Movie Review Post...

If you've visited the Christmas movie review page here at *It's a Wonderful Movie,* then you know it's a VERY LONG LIST of Christmas movies categorized by network and premiere date. A loyal visitor here, Mark 25, suggested that I put the list in alphabetical order - so I gave it some thought. I didn't want to disturb the original listing, so I added a new list of the movie titles near the top of the page in alphabetical order and now you can click on the movie you are seeking - and you will be directly taken to that movie in the post below. It took a little while to do the linking, but I love the result, and I plan to do it again this year! I hope you like it, too! Check it out - *click here*!

This Christmas...

I am so thankful for each and every one of you who have taken time out of your day to share these reviews with others - they truly mean so much. The plan is to do this again this Christmas, if you all would like to join in. Are you ready to watch, review and conquer again?

THANK YOU, again, to EVERYONE who leaves a review or simply visits here. I am so glad YOU are a part of this *It's a Wonderful Movie* family!

Blessings to You All! Net

Thank You All for Your Prayers...

I want to say thank you all, again, for your heartfelt prayers. We were feeling hopeful for my Aunt’s recovery, but my precious Aunt Margaret passed away and into the arms of Jesus today. As I write this, I can hardly believe it still. My family and I are heartbroken, so please continue to lift us up in prayer.

Thank you for your love and support.

Big changes are coming for the cowboys and their families in season 6 of INSP’s original series, The Cowboy Way. While Bubba, Booger, and Cody have built a strong friendship and success as a company, the cowboys’ day-to-day work schedule and life on the road is taking its toll. With a desire to be home more as their families start to grow, they find their business at a crossroads.

Bubba, Booger, and Cody start exploring new ways to expand the company, and each is determined to do it on their own terms. Tensions start to rise as they struggle to see eye-to-eye about what their next move should be. Things get even more complicated when each cowboy is presented with a dream opportunity - leaving them to question if investing in their partnership is what is best - for themselves and their friendship. As they decide the fate of their future, the cowboys will have to make hard decisions that will put their friendship to the test.

###

(- End of Press Release -)

A little more on each Cowboy- from INSP:

Bubba Thompson is a rancher and skilled carpenter. He and wife, Kaley have a fun-loving relationship, often laced with good-humored “bets.” They have a daughter, Andie.

Retired pro-rodeo, calf-roping champ, Cody Harris produces popular rodeos. As he works at life on the other side of the arena fence, he is supported by his wife, Misty. They are devoted to each other, often sharing poignant moments and coming together to make those big life decisions. They have a young son, Carter.

Chris “Booger” Brown is an expert cattleman and a renowned horse and dog trainer. When it comes to joking around, he can give as good as he gets, but should a friend or neighbor need his help, the jokes take a back seat, and he’s ready to help in an instant. He is married to Jaclyn, a pharmacist, and is dad—and cowboy mentor—to young son, Matthew.

Together the cowboys own Faith Cattle Company. In each episode, you’ll share in Bubba’s, Cody’s and Booger’s emotional stories—the business and life challenges, the accomplishments, the joyful events, the unconditional support, the adventures, and lots of laughs.

Update on my Precious Aunt and a Thoughtful Message from Hallmark Actor, Paul Greene...

Thank you all for your continued prayers for my precious Aunt. I feel the love and support of this dear "It's a Wonderful Movie" family, which means the world to me.

Each day she is a miracle, defying the odds the doctors have set before us. She fell on Friday and hit her head causing a brain bleed.

My aunt lives alone, but she has children, grandchildren, and siblings who check in on her, from time to time. However, since this occurred early in the day and many of them were at work, it could have been many, many hours before she was discovered. But the Good Lord had another plan. On Fridays, my aunt drives a neighbor/church friend to get her hair done, go shopping, out to eat, and pick up groceries, etc. Well, when my aunt didn't show up at their scheduled time, her friend became worried. She thankfully called their pastor and they went to check.

From there, my aunt was taken to the hospital, where we learned there was bleeding in her brain. She had stopped breathing in the ambulance and was put on a ventilator. The doctors said the bleeding was in the middle of the brain and there was nothing they could do surgically. They didn't give us much hope, at that point, but we didn't give up, we were all still interceding for her healing. I'm so grateful for each and everyone who said a prayer, too.

On Saturday, the doctors advised my cousins to remove their Mother from the ventilator, informing them she would most likely only live 10 minutes after doing so. The family all gathered around her singing praise songs and hymns. 10 minutes passed... 20... 30... and so on... and now nearly 48 hours have passed, and she is still breathing on her own- Praise God!!!

She looks comfortable as she is resting and I know this time is healing. Each step, each day has been a miracle, thus far, and I know there are many steps to go...

My family and I keep repeating the same scripture- that has given us great peace throughout this difficult time... "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." ~Matthew 19:26 (NKJV)

When all of this first happened, I recalled right away that this similar event happened to Paul Greene's mother. (Paul Greene of "When Calls the Heart") I remembered praying for her and Paul when it occurred, and being so happy, rejoicing with their family when she recovered. Knowing Paul's mother was able to overcome this, gave me and my family such great hope. My Momma suggested reaching out to him and his Mother for prayer, so I sent a prayer request through my friend Ruth Hill, who I knew could get the message to Paul. Ruth responded right away and let me know she would be praying, along with Paul and his mother (a prayer warrior, as Ruth called her), with all of us. And Paul, so graciously and giving, sent the most beautiful, encouraging voice message to my Sister through Instagram, to play for my Aunt. Paul's reassuring, calming voice was telling my Aunt she could get through this, many people are praying for her; it is possible. It was such a precious moment when we played that message for her in the hospital; everyone became silent all at once and gathered around to listen. I just know if my Aunt could've responded at that moment, she would've been overwhelmed and elated by Paul's sweet message. She just loves "When Calls the Heart" and all the Hallmark movies. From now on, Paul will always have a special place in my families' heart. And as we all listened intently to Paul's message, who plays a physician on "When Calls the Heart," it was a comfort knowing our hope is in The Great Physician.

My aunt's condition is the same today, but we are beyond grateful she continues to breath on her own. Family stays by her side 24/7, and she is never alone. And we know The Lord has been by her side every moment along the way.

Thank you all for your continued prayers. If you would like to add her name to your prayer list, her first name is Margaret.

God Bless You All, Net

THANK YOU UPtv for these Great Gifts, Plus *Gilmore the Merrier* and *A Christmas Movie Christmas!*

On this Thanksgiving week, I wanted to say a special *Thank You* to my dear friends at UPtv for the thoughtful gifts they recently sent to me.

First, their special surprise arrived in the cutest little white box with their logo "UPtv Christmas Movie Christmas" on the side! It was so adorbs... I could hardly wait to open the box!

I carefully opened the flap and discovered inside a wonderful Yeti Traveler Tumbler (what a great gift!) with the UPtv logo on it, of course... plus, darling "Gilmore Girls" socks and a schedule of all the new UPtv Christmas Movies! I loved it all!!!

Thank you UPtv for these incredible sweet gifts!!!

This week is *Gilmore the Merrier* on UPtv - a marathon of "Gilmore Girls" episodes from the beginning to end! On my socks - are the inspirational words "omnia paratus," which means, translated from Latin, “ready for all things.” It was a popular phrase used in the "Gilmore Girls" series. I've not seen all of the episodes, myself, but I've caught some fun ones, here and there, and I know it has such a huge following! I always loved the bantering conversation between Lorelai and Rory.

Plus, if you like my gifts, then you'll like this special treat from UPtv:
Scott Patterson, who plays Luke Danes, will host UPtv’s binge-a-thon of every Gilmore Girls episode. “GilMORE the Merrier” will also feature a watch-and-win sweepstakes containing hourly prizes during the marathon… plus 10 grand prizes. It’s the ultimate “Gilmore Girls” viewing party all throughout Thanksgiving week!

A little "Gilmore Girls" trivia:

Did you know the "Gilmore Girls," Mother and Daughter, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore, lived in "The Waltons" house! Well, kind of! The original exterior of The Waltons home used in the series was on the Warner Brothers' back lot in Burbank, California. Unfortunately, that set burned down and they turned the land into a parking lot.

However, a replica of "The Waltons" house was built on the Warner Brother's Ranch lot in Burbank for the Reunion Movies that took place after the original series ended. This home/set was used as the fictional Dragonfly Inn in the show "Gilmore Girls," that was set in the fictional east coast town of Stars Hollow and followed the day to day life of this Mother and Daughter.

Happy Thanksgiving Week, Everyone!

THANK YOU HALLMARK - for CHRISTMAS Movies in JULY, a Treasured Keepsake!!!

It has become an annual July tradition for the HALLMARK CHANNEL and HALLMARK MOVIES & MYSTERIES to bring us a little Christmas in July! In just a couple weeks (17 days, actually... July 7-23...but whose counting, right? *wink*) Hallmark jam-packs many of our Christmas movie favorites from the past year and previous seasons... festive, delightful, family-friendly holiday movies that are always welcome in our homes!

Plus, Hallmark gifts us typically with one, and now TWO this year - New Christmas Movie Premieres in July! Wow, you never cease to amaze me! I am continuously surprised by your ability to outdo yourself! Thank You, truly, for these wonderful weeks of *Christmas in July* Movies!

It's clear, Hallmark executives and leadership know what the viewers like and most assuredly they know how to help us all "beat the heat" during these hot summer days! Simply turning up the AC, watching scenes and scenes of snowball fights and sleigh rides effortlessly drifts ones mind to white Christmases and chilly winter nights!

In fact, one of my followers here- Travis, emailed to let me know - his family cranked up the AC enough to turn on the fireplace, then, they played Christmas board games (including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Operation!), and sipped hot chocolate (with marshmallows, no less) while watching Hallmark Christmas movies! I LOVE it!

By the way, I found the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Operation game and more Christmas board games - at Amazon, including a Christmas Monopoly Limited Edition board game and Christmas Charades - the "Perfect Party" Game!

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer Operation
Christmas Monopoly Limited Edition

Also, dear movie friends, Linda and Jim, who are faithful visitors here - shared that they both decorated their homes, just a little, to get into the spirit! Linda put up a wreath (which sounds lovely!) and Jim turned on Christmas lights (nothing compares to that warm glow!)! If you decorated, too, during Christmas in July, please share in comments below!

Bethlehem Lighting Pre-Lit Christmas Wreath /
Holiday Wonderland 100-Count Clear Christmas Light Set

I just love how everyone got into the spirit this year during Christmas in July! I always have a small Countdown to Christmas clock on my desk, which is a constant reminder that Christmas is one day closer than it was yesterday! Plus, this year - I got out some of my favorite decorative Christmas pillows - which were comfy on the couch while watching Hallmark Christmas movies!!! (these pillows below are very similar!)

Kneeling Santa Pillow / Set of 4 Decorative Christmas Pillowcase Covers

By my count, there were 59 Hallmark Christmas Movies that aired in July during Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Gold Crown Christmas and the Hallmark Channel's Christmas Keepsake Week event! In turn, reverse that number around... and there were approximately 95 Hallmark Christmas movies that didn't air during Hallmark's Christmas in July celebration at all! And, I know many of you, like myself, certainly missed them! (More Below...)

For all of you who are familiar with the animated cartoon - "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer..." if you recall there were many sweet toys that were left behind on the island of misfit toys and Santa found them and delivered them all - just in time for Christmas! These movies, just like those toys, weren't at all misfits - they were all quite fit and just needed to be loved & enjoyed! Be sure to take a look at the listings below of the movies that played during Christmas in July and the movies that didn't and please share in comments (remind Santa!) which movies you missed during July, but hope to see in October, November, or December!!! Hopefully, Santa will turn that sleigh around, pick these movies up again, and play them at Christmastime!!! (Ha! Ha! or rather, Ho! Ho! Ho!)

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer - Ornaments

Movies I personally loved & Movies I missed during Christmas in July:

I'll start in by saying again how much I thoroughly enjoyed Christmas in July on the both Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and the Hallmark Channel! Thank you, Hallmark! I am truly so grateful you continue to air in July these sweet Christmas movies and fill our homes with the Christmassy spirit in the midst of summer!

I LOVED...

Like all of you Christmas movie viewers, I was happy to see many of my favorites, including these ten: "The Christmas Secret," "Hearts of Christmas," "Love Always, Santa," "A Christmas to Remember," "Christmas Cookies," "The Christmas Card," "My Christmas Love," "Debbie Macomber's Dashing Through the Snow," "Christmas List," "When Calls the Heart Christmas" and oh, my goodness... so many more!!!

I MISSED...

With so many movies in the Hallmark Christmas library, unfortunately not all of the movies we love could be played.

The ones I missed the most were... (I picked a baker's dozen!)

"Signed, Sealed, Delivered: For Christmas" - Such a beautiful, amazing story of the true meaning of Christmas - wrapped in a non-delivered letter mystery! One of Hallmark's overall best Christmas movies ever, in my opinion!

"The Nine Lives of Christmas" - Originally this fan-favorite feline movie was scheduled to play during Christmas in July, but was replaced by an airing of "When Calls the Heart Christmas." I love WCTH, but I also very much missed seeing this adorable movie, which has two very sweet cats and the most precious love story!

"Broadcasting Christmas" - Surprisingly, this is the ONLY New Christmas Movie from 2016 that was NOT played during Christmas in July! Starring Dean Cain (Mr. Christmas, himself!) and Melissa Joan Hart, this movie, all about reporters vying for the same position in a Christmas contest, is cleverly unique and always entertaining!

"A Boyfriend for Christmas" - One of Hallmark's first - best Christmas Movie romantic comedies (from 2004)! Even all the guys in my family still like this one! When Holly brings Douglass Firwood home to meet her parents for Christmas - that's when the real fun begins! After all these years, I still love it!

"A Season for Miracles" - This Hallmark Hall of Fame movie from 1999 will always be a sentimental favorite! I love everything about it... the dear aunt, who wants so much to care for her precious, yet scared, niece and nephew, the sweet sisters who conveniently live next door and are always trying be supportive and neighborly, the helpful handsome police officer who serendipitously is always there when he's needed the most, and of course, the Angel, portrayed by the wonderful actress Patty Duke!

"The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" - Yes, the one with The Fonz, Henry Winkler! This is such an amusing, charming movie - the very moment Morgan shows up with Uncle Ralph unexpectedly for Christmas!

"Moonlight and Mistletoe" - Candace Cameron Bure's first Hallmark Christmas movie! It's so sweet when Holly comes home to take care of her father after his sleigh ride injury, then finds herself helping to save Santaville from financial ruin, and all the while, discovering love - with some mishaps along the way! Also stars Barbara Niven of "Chesapeake Shores!"

"Battle of the Bulbs" - This is not your typical romantic Hallmark movie, but it is still a lot of fun! There's a fierce competition between neighbors for the best Christmas light display and it's a blast to see them do their best to out do one another! The movie stars one of Christmas Movie's biggest stars, Daniel Stern - Marv, one of the infamous robbers from Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York!

"Holiday Engagement" - If you want to watch a Christmas movie that will make you literally laugh out loud... then, this is it! When Hillary brings home David, an actor, to pretend to be Jason, her ex-boyfriend, the real fun begins! Just thinking about various scenes makes me giggle... plus, there is a beautiful scene where Hillary and David sing "Angels We Have Heard on High" together at the piano - just before the real Jason unexpectedly arrives!

"A Princess for Christmas" - Absolutely enchanting! I am always swept away by this beautiful royal story... it's like a fairytale dream come true with the castle, prince, and a happily ever after!

"Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade" - I just fell in love with this movie! From the quirky, perky background music to the vintage wearing Emily and all her woes - including a marine biologist boyfriend who is completely clueless, and Henry, the new guy at work - who she fears may ruin the parade and everything she plans tediously each year! This is truly a delightfully witty and remarkably romantic - Hallmark treasure!

"Snow Bride" - One misconception snowballs into another... as an old flame resurfaces, sibling rivalry rises, and love that is at first fake becomes reality! And, it's all such fun to watch unravel and resolve itself in the end!

"Window Wonderland" - This is a fascinating, engrossing look into the lives of two very different people, so it seems, who create window displays and are competing for the same position at work. Looks may be deceiving and not quite exactly what anyone initially perceives. Filled with challenges, misconceptions, and quick witted banter - it's a beautiful window into their world where true love is, at last, discovered! Even stars two of Hallmark's most popular leading men - Paul Campbell and Cameron Mathison!

Please take a look at the list of movies below NOT played during Hallmark's Christmas in July, and share in comments (further below!) which movies you missed!
