ReplyDeleteI may watch some of the movies.
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog today, and was interested in the Chesapeake Shores comments. My daughter and I spent Sunday afternoons previewing the previous episodes of CS. I was surprised so many viewers liked Metcalfe; we found him to be somewhat of a drag. Loved the billionaire; found Megan (Niven) to be very shallow; David was our favorite; Jess needed medication for ADD; you just know Dad is going to become narcotic dependent. These are just things we talked about, and didn't get emotionally involved, but we will miss it. Our concern is there haven't been any promos yet...also, I certainly hope they don't mess with us as they did when they short changed us on The Good Witch.
ReplyDeleteBarbRN, Good to get your take on Chesapeake Shores. I always liked Jesse Metcalfe's role as Trace Riley in the beginning on CS, but I was disappointed in later seasons, where they took his story. There are certainly plenty of interesting characters in the O'Brien family, but it's nice how each piece of the puzzle fits together so nicely. I'm hoping it ends with the parents happily together again, and many of the siblings will find love and happiness, as well. Since they know this is the end, there surely won't be any nail-biting cliffhangers like last season with Connor. Let's hope!
DeleteAnd yes, the new season of Chesapeake Shores is coming... Season 6 premieres August 14th. You've probably seen in recent days - some promos are now showing up on the Hallmark Channel.
I’m watching Love, Lights, Hanukkah!
ReplyDeleteI saw promo teaser trailer of “A Splash of Love” is a cute movie
Love is meant to be an adventure
Chloe goes whale watching when she’s reading a brochure - Pacific Northwest Orca Whale Research Study
Starring Rhiannon Fish & Benjamin Holllingworth
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Chloe (Fish) is studying marine mammalogy, the study of whales. Moreover, she goes to one of Miami’s top universities, and she is now halfway through her Ph.D. program.
Therefore, she spends a lot more time in the lab, but not in the water, her favorite place in the world. This is where she watches and connects with the magical creatures of the water. However, this is a competitive field so, to be successful, she has to keep her head in the game.
Chloe’s hard work has paid off. She is at the top of her field but, now she needs funding for the remaining two years of her doctorate. Her goal is to win a particular scholarship, but the competition here is also tough.
Finally, her mentor, Dr. Andrea Ware (Kelders) encourages her to go beyond Miami to the Pacific Northwest. This can help Chloe get more experience and then confidently apply for her scholarship.
Now, on the other side of the country, Chloe makes the most of her experience. That includes meeting a very attractive whale-watching tour guide (Hollingsworth).
Yes, the premiere movie "A Splash of Love" is coming up at the end of the month. You can see pictures for this new movie - here:

I saw Tamera Mowry’s movie: Girlfriends’ Summer Getaway
After a booking mix-up, Samara's birthday getaway turns into a weeklong journey where three friends rediscover passion, purpose and romance.
The Lowcountry has become a hot spot for filming in recent years, and the latest production from Hallmark is still searching for locals to appear as extras in an upcoming film directed by Keisha Knight Pulliam.
‘Girlfriends’ Getaway,” starring Tamera Mowry, follows a group of women at a retreat and will film in the Charleston and Edisto Island areas.
I, too, noticed a clip of the movie "Girlfriends’ Summer Getaway" in the 'Fall into Love' promo. Perhaps, they will be moving it back into this line-up, or maybe, this promo was made before they removed it's initial premiere date, which was previously at the end of July. Hard to say. At this point, Hallmark has not provided a new premiere date for "Girlfriends’ Summer Getaway." Stay tuned!
DeleteThis movie is filming in my area. I will have to keep this movie on my radar. Fingers crossed it will be family friendly.
Deletekitkat, How fun! Please keep us posted if you hear any news. Wish you could be an extra! :)
DeleteI watched Love, Fashion, Repeat for the second time last night. Since I really like Victor Zinck, Jr., I wanted a second chance to see if it was a keeper for me. It is! His acting never disappoints. This is a nice, family-friendly movie. Nothing spectacular; just relaxing and enjoyable. I will definitely watch again.
ReplyDeletekitkat, Thank you for this wonderful review for "Love, Fashion, Repeat!" I know just what you mean - when you say "Nothing spectacular," but, yet, you simply enjoyed it. I have that same feeling towards many of the movies that draw me in.
DeleteI have this on my to-watch list for this week, and after reading your thoughts, I'm very much looking forward to seeing it!
Again, thank you! I posted your review here:
