Happy Wednesday, friends! Typically the movie reminders are mainly on the weekend here at It's a Wonderful Movie (except Christmas, of course!), but there are several notable movies airing this week on TV - I thought you all might enjoy watching now or DVR-ing (is that a word?) for the weekend!

The first movie is one that was originally available through Hallmark's streaming service Hallmark Movies Now. Then it aired twice, I believe, on Hallmark Drama, and now it is airing for the first time on the Hallmark Channel...

Storyline via Hallmark: When a series of wedding-planning setbacks raises the bride’s doubts, Maid of Honor Meg and Best Man Tyler put their old differences aside to restore the couple’s faith in love with a walk down memory lane.

Note: I have not viewed this movie, yet, but I have heard from various sources that it is family friendly.

In case you missed it over the weekend...

There's a repeat showing of "Love, For Real" on Thursday night. I haven't viewed this one, yet. Have any of you? Plus, I haven't really heard if it was good or bad; so... if you've seen it, I would love to hear your thoughts in comments below.

As the Christmas spirit washes over him — and he begins falling for Julie — the once self-centered Nick discovers the joy of helping others. Lara originally plans to sell the shop quickly, but switches course to fulfill her aunt’s last wish – to have one of her teas awarded by the prestigious International Council of Tea Sommeliers. With the help of handsome local flower expert Matt, Lara sets out to recreate a long lost “love potion” tea. One problem – the tea’s secret ingredient is the extinct Kissing Falls rose. As Lara and Matt work together, she finds herself not only falling for Matt but for the town itself.

Friday, August 6, 2021:

It's a two-part patriotic "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie showing on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries with...

and

SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED: TRUTH BE TOLD storyline: The POstables are on a mission to deliver a soldier's letter from Afghanistan to a teenager who's being relentlessly bullied, while Oliver's estranged father surprises him with news that shakes him to his core.

SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED: THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM storyline: The POstables work against the clock decoding a letter to rescue a soldier in Afghanistan and reunite her with her family, while Rita competes for the National Miss Special Delivery title in Washington, D.C.

This series is truly my favorite of everything that airs re-occurring on Hallmark. As I've mentioned before, I like the stories of faith and how Oliver's Divine-Delivery theory is incorporated into each story. SSD is beautiful, powerful, puzzling, and heartwarming! I highly recommend the entire SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED series, and I'm thrilled the cast is currently filming Movie #11!

  1. As of today, Hallmark's "Home & Family" show is no more. I didn't really watch the show but I did like to put it on sometimes during the Christmas season. They would kick off the Hallmark Christmas movie season, even much sooner than the movies themselves.

    1. Jim, I am so happy to see your post today. Glad to know you are okay. Missed reading your comments. You can have a little Christmas anytime. I watch from my DVR or DVD'S to bring Christmas joy year round.

    2. Jim, Same here! I liked those sort of Christmas segments, too, on H&F... plus some of the interviews of Hallmark stars. I do wonder if there are any plans to replace it with something else similar. I'm not too fond of all the sitcoms they play daily on the Hallmark Channel during the morning hours.

    3. kitkat, I do the same thing! Last night, in fact, I caught some of the "Murder She Baked Christmas," then I also watched a little of "Return to Christmas Creek." I may have watched the intro twice and nearly teared up as the opening song always touches my heart: "It's Christmas again, everybody's home..."

    4. Awww thanks kitkat. Oh, you don't have to worry about me keeping the Christmas joy all year...haha. As some of you know my Christmas Tree is still up. Like you, I watch Christmas movies all the time and throughout the whole year. I'm still making my way through the New Hallmark Christmas movies from last year. As a matter of fact I watched "Never kiss a man in a Christmas sweater" tonight. I watched "Christmas in Vienna" the other night. Loved that one. It's so much fun to still have NEW Christmas movies to watch. I fire up the Christmas Tree, make some popcorn, and get swept away into the magic of Christmas and the joy of it.

Being a part of Net's IAWM Wonderland blog all these years has really taught me to keep the Spirit of Christmas in my heart and mind ALL year. Maybe too much...haha. Some may say I'm a bit nutty with it, but that's okay, it's fun being nutty.

Thank you again for the nice comment.

    5. After reading your response Net, I had to watch "Return To Christmas Creek" last night. Love that movie!

    6. Awe, Jim... your Christmas spirit inspires me, too! I'm so glad you are a part of the IAWM family!

Happy Christmas movie watching to you! Do you have many more new ones to go - from last year???

    7. kitkat, that is so sweet! That's one of those movies I can simply watch over and over again and never get bored. Glad you enjoyed it too!

    8. Net, I still have 16 of the Hallmark Christmas movies to go. I still have the 5 UPTV one to watch. I've seen all the Christmas movies on Lifetime that I can see on Hoopla. I didn't have that channel last year on my streaming service so couldn't record all those. Hoopla had some of those that I wanted to watch and I've seen those.

I'm watching them almost daily now though so they will be gone pretty quickly now. Surprisingly I haven't hit the OCD binge HAVE to finish them state yet but once that kicks in, they will disappear rapidly.

I have had some strange have to see ALL (other than the non-family friendly ones) of the Hallmark & HMM Christmas Movies (every minute of every movie) for quite a few years now or my life doesn't feel complete...haha. Like I have this uncompleted nagging task to do. Amongst that neuroticism I still find joy in doing it when I'm in the Eternal NOW moment of watching them. The tears flow and the emotions are released and the magic is felt during this NOW at every twinkling light and every ringing bell experienced. Once I step out of the NOW though the magic dissipates and it's a return to the past and future type thinking.

    9. It's not that often I change my mind about movies but after thinking Return To Christmas Creek was just okay on first viewing I really found myself loving it when we saw it for a second time.

We now re-watch it every few months - Florence

  4. Save the Wedding

Meg Mooreland (Kasey Landoll) is ecstatic to be her best friend Ellie’s maid-of-honor, and even more excited that she gets to plan the wedding. However, Meg is less than thrilled when she discovers that the Best Man is Tyler (Travis Burns), a guy she’s constantly bumped heads with throughout the years, but they must both put aside their differences when Ellie suddenly calls off the wedding!

  5. I saw some of Love For Real and thought it was cute and some laugh out loud moments. But, I missed the ending. It was family friendly from what I could tell. I think most of the cast was good, but there were too many 'bad guys' with the blonde producer and this obviously stuck up contestant. Thise two just weren'tthat great.

  7. Save the Wedding is cute movie. Meg & Tyler work together to save the wedding of Ellie & Sam. They fell in love in first place because Meg’s Best Friend; Ellie & Sam’s Best Friend; Tyler - Meg is Maid of Honor & Tyler is Best Man. They took economic in college when bumped into each other. Sam asks his bride; Ellie to marry him today when she says yes.

In fact, even if you click on one of my links and don't purchase that particular item, but then you purchase something else, I would get credit for that.

All of the new ornaments are so adorable... I have my eye on the Peanuts and that cute snowman & kitty cat! :)

  11. Dear Net, I am so very excited and emotional at the realization that the next episode of Signed, Sealed, Delivered is finally being filmed. It truly feels like a special love letter that was delayed...possibly even lost, and its delivery has been anticipated by so many for such a long while. I'm anxiously looking forward to your announcing the date this fall for the long-awaited premiere of the continuing adventures of our beloved POstables!

    1. e.t.m. - I absolutely share your enthusiasm over this upcoming new "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" movie! It is so good to have our POstables back.

I am hearing, though, that the wait to see this might be a little longer. Parade is reporting it may be in the new year after Christmas, but we'll see. "Trust the timing," right?

Thank you for sharing! God bless you! :)

  12. For anyone that loves Signed Sealed Delivered... I just saw that they started filming the new movie!

    1. Abigail, That's right! "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" is currently filming Movie #11. I, too, am so thrilled. That was so thoughtful of you to mention this, in case we hadn't heard.

I believe it was either Eric Mabius or Martha Williamson who first revealed this news, but then we really knew it was happening on July 5th - when Martha let the cat out of the bag - see here!

As for the story - I hear Oliver and Shane are planning their wedding with the arrival of Shane's mother and Norman and Rita are trying to start a family.

Thank you, again, for sharing, Abigail... so glad you also love the SSD series! :)

    2. Thanks for the info Net! So we finally get a glimpse of Shane's family.. Do you know who plays her mother? Do you think she'll get together with Oliver's dad??

Yes! I do love the series. Love their retro personalities and there's Shane. Hahaha;)

Your SSD b-day cake was fantastic btw.

  15. Dove Review

**This review is contributed by Super Channel—a channel dedicated to providing integrity and accountability in today’s entertainment.

Meg is excited to plan her best friend’s wedding and to be her maid-of-honor, too, but discovering that Tyler, whom she has known for years and never got along with, is the best man, is not thrilling. But when just days before the wedding Ellie gets cold feet and calls it off, Meg and Tyler must work together to remind her as to why she fell in love with Sam in the first place. Meg and Tyler dive into recreating Ellie and Sam’s milestone dates… the dinners, the special occasions, the proposal, all with a lot of effort, but with a teamwork that allows them to see each other in a different light.

As Sam (Reece Frith) and Ellie (Chloe Wick) relive those romantic moments, they do come to realize why they fell in love and the wedding is back on! Meg and Tyler sheepishly admit to each other that they make a good team and have enjoyed each other’s company while saving the day for good friends. Is it possible that what started out as a “task” for Meg and Tyler is leading them towards realizing they might have the makings of a little romance on their own?

This is a good story about relationships, and how opinions and impressions can change when there is a concerted effort to work towards a common goal, and in this case, is focused on friends who need help. Meg and Tyler clearly set their differences apart as they work together, and surprisingly discover they really are a good team. When teamwork develops into a love that neither one saw coming, the story ends happily for everyone.

Shift your priorities for the people you love. Focusing on your own selfish needs doesn’t bring good feelings or necessarily good results, but opening your heart to doing good for others comes with a multitude of rewards, and it can’t get any sweeter than finding love unexpectedly! This film is Dove-approved for All Ages.
