Super selection of Christmas movies here! It must have been hard to pick only 20 nominees! I see lots of favorites here, like Christmas Next Door or Switched for Christmas! Both got my vote!
ReplyDeleteThank you for voting... I'm glad you found lots of favorites!!! I, too, love both the ones you mentioned!!! :)
DeleteThank you for continuing to do these, year after year. I tried the Merry Madness Christmas bracket once on Hallmark's website,, but I didn't like the match ups. I may try it again sometime. I sure hope my favorite, When Calls the Heart: The Christmas Wishing Tree, does well here!
ReplyDeleteMissy, The WCTH Christmas movie was most definitely something special, especially with Jack's return! Elizabeth got her wish, and everyone's wishes in Hope Valley came true! It was such a beautiful beginning to season 5!
DeleteI've done the bracket, too, a few times. It's so hard to choose between some of the match-ups!
Blessings! Net
Yay!! I've been waiting for the Christmas movie favorites, Net, and I voted for so many that I truly enjoyed!! I hope more will be released on DVD this year and maybe some from last year!! P.S. Love the new banner and wallpaper...perhaps for St. Patty's Day??
ReplyDeleteLinda, thank you for joining in and voting! I'm so happy you found some Christmas Movie favorites here. Absolutely, it would be wonderful to have all of these on DVD and more! Hope those who can make that possible see this!
DeleteAlso, glad you like the updated look- for the Holiday and Spring!
Blessings on your day! Net
Thanks for this, Net! In all honesty, my favorite movies this year (with the exception of one) were not on Hallmark; they were on Lifetime! In order of preference: Snowed Inn Christmas, Four Christmases and a Wedding, and Christmas in Mississippi. Even though they starred Hallmark actors, just felt there was something a bit more original about them, especially Snowed Inn Christmas which was absolutely charming. The one Hallmark movie that did stand out for me and I think I watched it at least 5 times, was A Bramble House Christmas, which I didn't see listed. The runner up for Hallmark would be Engaging Father Christmas.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, thank you so much for voting and sharing your favorites! I admit, it was definitely hard to narrow it down to only 20 nominees... there were so many to love across all the networks this year, and I really enjoyed those ones you mentioned from Lifetime, too!
DeleteHope one of your favorites wins! :)
Blessings!!! Net
I was hoping Bramble House Christmas would be on the list. But I also really do love the 3 movies I voted for: Snowed Inn Christmas, Christmas in Mississippi, and Miss Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThank you bunches for voting, CH, and sharing your top picks! There were so many to love last year!!! :)

I agree Jim. My grandmother passed away last year at the age of 94, but each year, she and I would watch the Hallmark movies, and I'll always cherish those memories with her. She didn't understand all the DVR and cable technologies, so she would write down the movies and their times of the ones that she wanted me to see. It is nice that Hallmark continues to do this, and it's one of the things that I look forward to during the Christmas season. Thank you to Net for hosting this site as I come here frequently to check on upcoming movies and specials.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate this site so much. I find myself coming out here frequently, and almost daily during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. It just seems like the Hallmark movies remind me of an easier life, where there isn't so much discord among ourselves. I wish a blessing on each of the families that are represented on this site each day. Thank you Net for doing this!
ReplyDeleteBrent, you just made my day!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm beyond thrilled to hear how much you enjoy visiting here and how special these movies are to you and the joy it fills you with as you reminiscence over the past. Thank you, also, for reaching out so kindly to everyone here... God's Blessings to you, too!!! Net
DeleteThough I liked some of the movies we get to vote for, some of my favorites didn't make the list. Such as "Magical Christmas Ornament, Sharing Christmas, Christmas Connection, Mistletoe Inn, Bramble House Christmas, Christmas Cottage, and Christmas in Angel Falls". My overall favorite Christmas movie was "With Love, Christmas. RG
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you, RG... for sharing your Christmas movie favorites from 2017... those are all fantastic, too! We were certainly blessed with so many wonderful movies to love this past Christmas movie season! I'm so glad your overall favorite "With Love, Christmas," made my nominee list! :)

Jim, I know just what you mean... simply hearing we would have a sneak peek of Christmas in the Spring Fever commercial was sooooo exciting, exhilarating, and now that we officially know we will have 34 new Hallmark Christmas movies this year (total from both stations) to look forward to... well, that's equivalent to the joy of lighting up the tree for the first time!
ReplyDeleteI, too, often wonder, like you... how long it can last. My heart says "forever!" ... while my brain says..., well, let's just say... it's more practical. However, I do know ratings are good, people often turn to Hallmark over the entire season and stay there because they feel comfortable with their family friendly content. As long as Hallmark continues this winning formula, I believe they will keep going strong!
Blessings to you, Net
Brett, thank you for your sweet message. I am so sorry for your loss of your dear Grandmother last year. It is so precious that you both shared a common bond in your enjoyment of Hallmark movies. I love that she would write them down for you, that is so touching. I'm sure you treasure now all the movies she suggested watching.
ReplyDeleteThank you, also, Brent, for being a frequent follower here at "It's a Wonderful Movie." It's my joy to share!
Blessings to you, Net
