  2. I just want to say how grateful I am, along with my family, that Hallmark has chosen to go down the path of creating family movies and series, like When Calls the Heart.

WCTH is not like anything else on TV today, and I believe that's why it draws a big audience and social media presence, week after week. The world offers many choices on topics of sex, drugs, violence, murder, crime, profanity, lewd behavior, etc... Hallmark has become a standard in our home because it's the complete opposite in every way, with traditional programming we all enjoy, like When Calls the Heart. I hope, along with my family, Hallmark continues this high standard of entertainment in 2018!

Thank you, Net, for another great year here at It's a Wonderful Movie. I count on you at Christmas and all year!

    Merry Christmas! Anna

    2. Beautifully put, Anna! When Calls the Heart is most definitely in a class all by itself. (Along with Signed, Sealed, Delivered!) WCTH is, indeed, such a beautiful family show, which most definitely, as you said, is a unique standout on TV these days! We are certainly blessed by all the wonderful movies and series Hallmark continues to give us, season after season! I'm with you... I pray this high standard of excellent programming continues!

  5. My family had a great time watching this movie! I thought it was much better than “When Calls the Heart Christmas”. In last year’s movie, it seemed like the creators of “When Calls the Heart” were trying to tell too many stories in so little time. With this year’s movie, each story was equally told, it never felt like some stories had more precedence over others. It also never felt like there was too much going on in the movie. The cast was once again fantastic, just like they are on the show! February 18th cannot come soon enough!

There’s two things from the movie that I have to mention. In the scene where Jack and Jesse were looking at the pocket watches in Mr. Yost’s mercantile, I thought that the comment about the pocket watch being “too rich” for Jack felt strange coming from Jack. The reason why I feel this way is because Jack did have his father’s pocket watch, but then he gave it to his brother, Tom, in the second season, saying that the pocket watch would help keep Tom “focused”. Correct me if I’m wrong, but were those two American flags at the beginning of the Christmas parade? I thought so at first, but then when I was watching a highlight video of that scene on Hallmark’s website, it looked like it was just red and white striped flags with holly berries on them.

    1. Sheila, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I do hope your husband is feeling much better now. The holiday season can be an extra stressful time of year for so many.

As for this Christmas movie's availability on DVD, I haven't heard or seen anything "official", yet, for "When Calls the Heart: The Christmas Wishing Tree," but I'm hopeful we will hear something soon... perhaps, even around the time Season 5 premieres in February! Sooner would be even better, but that's my guess for now.

Please take care. Prayers for you and your husband. Blessings to you both, Net
