You are truly so sweet... God's Blessings to you, too!!!
Do you know what exactly is Chesapeake Shores ? Some say it's a TV show and other, like you, say it's a movie but Hallmark wrote "season 1" on the press part of their site, I'm confused..
ReplyDeleteIt is my understanding that the pilot will be a 2 hour movie launch into a new series.
DeleteYes, that's what I understand as well. Although I imagine it'd turn into a series - it looks like something that will get enough attention for them to greenlight it.
DeleteSo awesome!

ReplyDeleteIn other "Hallmark actor-related news"...
Alicia Witt posted a photo several days ago to indicate that she was flying off somewhere again, but she revealed no clues as to where she was going. I suspect she is off to film something else, but what it is is anyone's guess. It may not be a TV movie, and even if it is, it may not be for Hallmark. Or, if it IS for Hallmark, perhaps it is something for the upcoming group of new movies in January or February (Countdown to Valentine's Day, maybe??).
Kellie Martin is going to be on "Home & Family" this coming Thursday (in 2 days), to talk about her new "Hello, It's Me" movie. She says that she also has an "announcement" as well. Maybe she is going to be in a new series of mystery movies for HMM? Maybe she is going to be in a new Christmas movie (at this rate, the only Christmas movies she could be in this year would be "The Magic Stocking" or "Christmas Land," as those are the only two without casts that we know of). Maybe a new movie for January or February?
Wow, the Magic Stocking just started filming yesterday in Vancouver. That's late, even by Hallmark movie standards. You think we'd have SOME casting news though.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the Hallmark Christmas movies! I've noticed Candace Cameron has been in a couple shows lately. It's my favorite time of year! Thanks for all the great movie choices. Angel of Christmas and The Magic Stocking sound like something I'd like to watch.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
According to the director's wikipedia page the leads of the Magic Stocking are Bridget Regan (Agent Carter, Jane the Virgin) and Luke Macfarlane (The Memory Book, Brothers and Sisters).
ReplyDelete"The Truth About Christmas" is now being called "I'm Not Ready for Christmas" (which is the name of one of Alicia Witt's songs).
ReplyDeleteAnd "Dashing Through the Snow" has been removed from both the Countdown to Christmas Sneak Preview page (it was one of the titles listed in an ornament), as well as from HMM's Most Wonderful Movies of Christmas Sneak Preview page. It's already been filmed, so I wonder why it is now missing from both pages?
Also, "Christmas Land" is the last new movie scheduled to debut before Christmas, and it appears that there is still no cast for it. Hallmark did not list off any names for the movie on their schedule for the new movies, which was posted today. I am guessing that there was either a delay that held up the filming, OR something will happen to prevent "Christmas Land" from premiering this year. Maybe it will be saved for next year.
Yes, I've updated the Christmas Movie List and the schedule! I think they will be airing "Dashing through the Snow" on HMM, but it's not confirmed, yet.
DeleteChristmas Land is scheduled, so far, as their last movie. We'll see!?!?!?
I saw that "Christmas Land" is scheduled as the last new movie, but Hallmark didn't mention a cast... which leads me to think that it has either not been filmed yet, or there was some sort of delay in filming... which means it could be bumped off of the schedule if not completed in time. I know they can whip out the movies quickly these days, but they usually need at least 2 weeks to film them (sometimes longer), and then the movies have to be edited and go through other post-production details. If there is not even a confirmed cast yet -- and there does not appear to be -- that seems to indicate there is some sort of hold-up. I don't think they ever start filming Christmas movies quite this late in the year. They may wrap up filming in October, but I'm not sure how often they begin filming now.
DeleteWhat puzzles me about "Dashing Through the Snow" is that it was already announced on "Home & Family" that it would be airing on the Hallmark Channel -- it was one of the things that Danica McKellar mentioned when she appeared to promote the Countdown to Christmas. Later that day or the next day, "Dashing Through the Snow" appeared in one of the "ornaments" on the Countdown sneak preview page on the Hallmark Channel website - http://www.hallmarkchannel.com/christmas/sneak-preview.
Prior to the mention of it being on the Hallmark Channel, you said it would be on Movies & Mysteries (I thought it would go to the Hallmark Channel at some point, before or after getting to HMM).
So, ever since that "Home & Family" episode DTTS has been listed specifically on the Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas page, along with the other Countdown movies. (When "The Bridge" was recently added to the Countdown page, there were 18 movies listed as part of the Countdown to Christmas.)
Just in the last few days, I noticed DTTS in both the Countdown sneak preview page AND suddenly on the sneak preview page for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries - http://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysteries.com/the-most-wonderful-movies-of-christmas/the-most-wonderful-movies-of-christmas-sneak-preview.
I figured, "Okay, so it will premiere on one channel and then end up on the other one, just like The Christmas Shepherd did last year. They didn't tell us that it would be on HMM, but I guess it will move over there."
But now... "Dashing Through the Snow" is missing from BOTH sneak preview pages on both the Hallmark Channel page and the Movies & Mysteries page. So, they told us that it would premiere as part of the Countdown to Christmas, and advertised it as such on the website, and then DTTS suddenly, mysteriously appeared on the HMM page too.
And then, POOF!! In the blink of an eye, "Dashing Through the Snow" has disappeared from the sneak preview pages for both channels. Maybe they don't know exactly where it is going to premiere just yet, which is why they took it down?
Don't you find it the least bit odd that Hallmark advertises one thing, and then quietly tries to pretend they never mentioned it (probably hoping people will forget), and then blatantly omits it from the current schedule? I do! I'd rather that they didn't announce anything on TV or post in on their website at all until they know for sure where they will be airing it.
If DTTS were to appear on the regular Hallmark Channel, the only available pre-Christmas date for it would have to be Sunday, December 13th (which is not unlikely). Or, they'd have to squeeze it in on a Friday night somewhere. Otherwise, it would have to air post-Christmas, on Sunday, December 27th... or just premiere on Movies & Mysteries at some point.
